Scene 1

Savitri taunts Bai that she entered this palace to get them water and never left, they have given her too much importance. Bai says your husband never listened to you and even your sons Vikram and Anand follow my orders and not yours. Madhav comes there and asks Savitri to have some food but she says let it be, no one cares about me. Bai says she spoils mood of everyone, Vikram and Anand won’t like your stale face. Savitri says you have blinded my sons too, you insult me in front of everyone but no one stops you. Bai says I just say the truth and she thinks its her insult. Indira comes there and says stop fighting, kids are studying so just be calm. Bai is right as she handles the house. Savitri says you always blame me for no reason. Durga brings tea for Madhav, he asks

what happened? She says Savitri sent Munna to the market so Bai.. Bai tells her to shut up, she has no right on this house. Durga says I am sorry but you created a scene for no reason, you made Savitri cry when its her pooja today, she just wanted flowers so she sent Munna to the market, its not a big deal. Bai shouts at her to shut up.. you think you can teach me because you studied a little bit. They let you stay here but you don’t belong here. Madhav says but.. Bai stops him and tells Durga to not talk to her like this. Durga says you shouldn’t have talked to Savitri like this. You talk about my status all the time but if I don’t belong here so you also don’t belong to this house. Indira says how dare you talk to her like this? Diurga says she should be respectful then, she shouldn’t have insulted Savitri and why does she keep talking about my background? In the college, Durga and others are waiting for the results. They go to check the board and Durga smiles seeing she has topped. The principal comes there and says you have topped in the whole district, all clap for her. The principal says we are all going to celebrate this. First Anurag topped and now you did. Durga blushes.

Durga’s friends ask her if she can come for a coffee with them? She says I can’t come today, I have to go somewhere.

Durga is running through the desert and comes near the tree where Anurag wrote her name when they were kids. She calls him. Anurag takes the call. She says I got my results. He says I forgot about it, what marks you got? she says you didn’t remember so its fine, I just passed. He asks what’s the percentage? She says 97%. He congratulates her and asks where is she? she says I am walking. He says I know you are near our tree, she asks how do you know? He says we made a promise and you can fulfill it now. I wish I could be there, I will try. She says let it be, you don’t care. He says you didn’t tell me that you topped in the district. She says so you called the college? he says yes. She says its going to rain here soon, will you come for Teej tomorrow? He says I can’t as I am busy with my MBA in the city. She says its okay and ends the call. Anurag smiles and says its a surprise for her. He drives his bike and arrives near the tree. Durga talks to the tree and says I don’t have a family in a real sense. I take someone as my own but I am scared to say it, I won’t be able to say it to him. Anurag starts his bike and arrives near her. Durga turns around and smiles seeing him. She runs to him and says you? He says its a surprise. He holds her hand but she moves away and says no..
