Scene 1
Anurag is standing alone when Durga comes there to clean up the porch. He says I got more than I could ask for. She asks what is he doing outside? He says I can’t forget what happened in the room, she blushes and looks away. He asks her to share her feelings. She says after that I.. he says you don’t be shy in front of me. He asks if she can come to his room for some time? She says no no.. anyone can see us. He says you came here to meet with me so come with me, tonight is our marriage night so you can’t go away. He hugs her but she pushes him away and blushes. She says when you made me wear that garland, I felt.. he says you felt like my wife right? I also feel like I have a partner now, I am so happy and feeling free. Everything is going as I wanted to in my
Vikram comes to Rajesh and says you will get married to Durga soon. Rajesh says I have some reservations about her. Vikram says I understand your concerns about her, who would want to marry a girl like her but I have a plan for you. I will call some guests in Durga’s marriage and it will break my son’s heart.. he will never talk to me ever again. Rajesh says so it means marriage won’t happen? Bai tells him to have some patience and trust his word, he promised you so he would never back down. Rajesh apologizes to Vikram. Vikram tells Rajesh that Durga will go to his house if she knows someone is ill in his house.. she would never say no for helping someone. Rajesh says I don’t understand this? Vikram says there will be a strong storm coming and what if she gets stuck in your house and your car is broken? she wouldn’t be able to return the palace and then in the morning, I will visit your house. Bai says if a woman spends a night at a man’s house then she can’t return to her house. Vikram says she might be educated but that doesn’t mean she has good character. She tried to trap my son first and then spent the night with you.. I will have to marry her to you then. Once Anurag finds out that she spend the night with you then he would hate her and not me for marrying her off to you.
Scene 2
Durga tells Anurag that she feels some kind of fear but Vikram has always supported her. Anurag says he is special, he listens to everyone but does what he wants to. Everyone thinks Bai influences him but that isn’t the case, he gave you permission to study more. She says what if I don’t get admission in a medical college? He says you will get an admission, our dream will come true because our love is pure. You love me and I love you.. we will never break each other’s trust. She nods. He says then we will be together and nobody would be able to separate us, we will be happy together. She smiles at him and touches his feet. He stops her and hugs her. She says leave me.. anyone can see us. He says no one is coming here.
Rajesh says what if Durga says no? Vikram says she can’t say no to me. Bai says I am sure there is a storm coming so everything will go as planned. Rajesh says what if Durga goes against you? Vikram says all villagers will be questioning her character so she won’t have any say. Bai says she wants to help others so we are going to use that against her. Vikram says I don’t care if you allow her or not after marriage. Rajesh says what will she do by studying? I don’t want that. Vikram says you can take decisions after marriage. Rajesh thanks him. Vikram says you can tell everyone that you are going to support her after the marriage. Rajesh nods and leaves.
Anurag brings Durga to his room, she says you are going to leave tomorrow? he says I don’t want to but I have to.. I have a lot to study. This festival was the most special for me, I got closer to you.
Bai tells Vikram that she is worried about Aarti and Savitri. Vikram says I am sure you can take care of them that’s why I trust you. Bai says I saw Anurag and Durga hugging but don’t be angry.. Anurag is going to leave tomorrow and then we will take care of Durga.
Anurag and Durga hug each other.
