Anurag tells Suhani that he loves another woman. He apologizes and admits that while it’s wrong to say this now, he feels he must tell her the truth because his family won’t. Anurag explains that he doesn’t want to betray her by hiding this. Suhani asks if he is suggesting that she should refuse the marriage. Anurag replies that it is her right to make that decision. Suhani questions why he didn’t tell her this before the Shagun ceremony. Anurag apologizes again and says he should have spoken sooner.
Suhani then asks about the woman he loves, wanting to know more. Anurag tells her that she is a medical student. He again assures Suhani that she can refuse the marriage after learning this truth. However, to his surprise, Suhani declares that she will still agree to the marriage.
Aarti approaches Durga and starts talking about Suhani. She praises Suhani, saying she is well-behaved and exactly the kind of girl she always wanted for her son. Aarti then shifts the conversation and says she understands Durga’s difficult situation. She brings up Durga’s struggles, mentioning her father’s death and her mother’s mysterious disappearance.
Aarti adds that she finds it hard to believe the rumors that Vikram has imprisoned Tara, Durga’s mother. Durga responds that she doesn’t understand why Vikram would do such a thing but suspects that Tara might know some of Vikram’s dark secrets.
Aarti then carefully brings up the topic of Durga and Anurag. She reassures Durga that she knows there is nothing going on between her and Anurag, but society doesn’t think the same way. Aarti warns that people are quick to assume things and make comments.
Suhani tells Anurag that he has unintentionally created a challenge for her. She says she wants to see if she can truly fail to win his heart. Anurag responds, wishing her good luck with that. Suhani smirks and asks if he is taunting her. Anurag denies it, saying he has no right to do so.
Suhani confidently adds that she has never learned how to give up and insists she won’t start now. She then bluntly asks Anurag if the woman he loves is Durga. Anurag remains silent, which makes Suhani suspicious. Suhani decides that she will target Durga and make her life miserable.
Aarti hands Durga a tray of food and asks her to serve Suhani and Anurag. Durga agrees. Before she leaves, Aarti suddenly asks if there’s a doctor named Aditi Agarwal at her college. Durga confirms that there is. Aarti hesitates for a moment and then confesses that Vikram was never happy with her. She reveals that Vikram had an extramarital affair with Aditi.
Shocked, Durga asks Aarti what she means. Aarti explains that Aditi was already married and had a son when the affair began. She admits that she has never been able to speak about this with anyone else. Aarti says that Vikram’s actions emotionally hurt both her and Aditi.
Durga responds firmly, saying it was very wrong of Vikram to do this, as he caused pain to both Aarti and Aditi. She comments that Vikram’s actions are inexcusable. Aarti asks Durga to forget about the topic and not dwell on it. Durga agrees and leaves.
Back in the room, Anurag asks Suhani not to reveal anything he told her today to anyone else. As he speaks, he holds Suhani’s hand.
Durga enters and sees Anurag holding Suhani’s hand. Durga pauses, witnessing the scene.
