Scene 1
Durga tells Vikram that she has learned a lot from him and she will always raise voice against injustice. She sits in the car with Rajesh. He asks what injustice are you talking about? Durga says I didn’t talk to you. He says I am your husband now. She says I know you will try to control me. They start driving away and Rajesh finds Anurag on his bike so he stops him and says you are my brother-in-law now, he finds his head bleeding and asks what happened? did you fight with anyone? Durga gets worried seeing him bleed. Rajesh tells Durga to come and look at his wound, she comes out but he looks away and says go away.. I hate you. He tells Rajesh that he hates his wife, he tells her to have shame and don’t talk to other men as you are married now, he drives away. Rajesh
Rajesh comes home with Durga. His family does her aarti. Durga thinks she gave up her life to protect Anurag’s honor but he didn’t understand her, its good that she has learned her lesson. Rajesh’s mother tells him that his other wife is angry. Durga thinks she will change everything, she will make sure these villagers respect women. Rajesh’s wife comes there and shouts at Durga.. she says I take care of him but I won’t work in the house anymore, I will see how you can take care of him. Chandini comes there and says she is always nagging. Rajesh’s wife Meera says I am not scared of anyone, Rajesh tells her to shut up but she says what will you do? you will beat me up? my body has become stone so I don’t feel anything and I am not scared of anyone, I won’t be a servant anymore.
Scene 2
Bai tells Aarti that today is karwachauth so prepare for it. Aarti says I will do pooja in the house only this time. Savitri says we are not mentally in a good state, only Bai is happy. Bai says why are you blaming me? I didn’t ask Durga to have an affair. Anurag comes there and says enough, can’t we talk about something else? Vikram says its a huge deal for the family so we are talking about it but why are you reacting like this? Anurag looks on.
Chandini asks Durga why didn’t she bring more gifts for them? Durga says why? were you eyeing it? Meera says you are educated so why did you do this? Durga says you are like my elder sister so I don’t want to fight. I heard you left Rajesh already? Meera says you can’t talk me down. Durga says I didn’t mean that. She tells Chandini that she arranged her marriage, we both know what happened here that night. Meera asks what happened? Durga says it doesn’t matter anymore, I can just say that I came here to treat Chandini that night and then.. Meera says I was confused why would you marry a man like Rajesh so I was right. Don’t make Rajesh angry as he might hit you. Durga says if someone tries to hit me then I can hit them back.
