Scene 1
Durga tells Meera that she will hit Rajesh if he tries to hit her. Chandini says be careful as he might hurt your family too.
Anubhav tells the family that he can’t believe Durga would do something like this. Madhav says Durga agreed to marry him, it was her choice. Anurag tells them to stop talking about this topic. Bai says he is right, I won’t let her come back to this house anymore. Vikram says we should call them over dinner as a couple. Rajesh works for me so he might feel bad. Madhav says are you sure? Vikram says we should do the ritual and then end this matter. Anubhav says Durga has betrayed us, we all wanted her to get an education but she was having an affair. Bai says people do mistakes in a young age, Durga just got caught. She was already of marriage
Rajesh’s Bua comes to his house and asks Meera about him and his new wife. Meera says he is not home. Bua greets Chandini and says I came here with my nephew. Bua asks where is his new wife? Durga comes there so Bua praises her beauty.
Vikram tells Aarti that no one would marry Durga from our class, Rajesh is a good person for her. He might not be educated but he earns well. He asks Anurag when is he leaving? He says I will leave tomorrow. Vikram tells Aarti to do her duty towards Durga. She says I don’t want to see her face anymore. He says just call her last time and then break off all relationships with her.
Scene 2
Rajesh comes home and greets Bua, she says I will teach your wife everything. Meera asks Durga if she wants to eat something? She says I am not hungry. Rajesah says she should eat something, he asks Meera to take care of her from now on. Bua says she should fast for Rajesh. Durga thinks she will fast for her goals, She says sure, I will do everything that I have to do as a wife, I will do everything for my husband. Rajesh smirks and says everyone should see how much you love your husband,
Savitri tells Aarti that she doesn’t need to go out for pooja. Bai says its our tradition and we do it every year. Savitri says you are not part of this family so don’t talk in our matters. Vikram says Bai isn’t wrong, she is talking for our family’s benefit. He tells Aarti that she is responsible for managing tradition of this house and it will be an insult to his father if they don’t do it. Madhav says we will do all rituals so don’t worry.
In the village’s venue, Durga comes there with Rajesh’s family. Meera says I am going to light diya for myself and not Rajesh, he doesn’t care about me. I am just waiting for my life to end. She leaves from there but Durga stops her and says don’t talk about hopelessness, you might dreams too? he can’t take away that from you. Meera says why did you not fight for your dreams then? Durga thinks she will tell the reason on the right time.
