Scene 1

Bai tells Vikram that he knows she does everything for the benefit of this family. You remember the day when you killed Durga’s father and all the villagers wanted to kill your family.. then it was me who stopped the villagers and saved you all. I took care of Durga. Vikram says you saved us all and we all agreed to never tell the truth to Durga and we will raise her in the palace.. even her mother agreed to it. Bai says we couldn’t keep her mother around so we spread the news that she died but only you and I know the truth. Vikram says I trust you the most and I have kept that truth hidden. Bai says its time to get Durga married, you took advantage of her and she has become a burden now. Vikram says I will get votes using her name. I can sell to villagers that I

have been taking care of a poor girl. Bai says she can become a danger for you.. she is eyeing your son and can destroy your honor. Get her married and send her away. Anurag hides and hears all that. He thinks he can’t let them marry Durga off. Vikram agrees with Bai. Bai says don’t tell anyone about this, we will get her married. Vikram says we have to find a groom for her. Bai says we already have a groom.. its Rajesh. He says what? Bai says he is a flirt but he will be a good match for her, we just need to send her off and then she can continue her studies if she wants. We will make Rajesh agree and Durga can’t say no to you. You have to listen to me if you want to protect your honor. Anurag is a fool so we have to protect him. He says fine, talk to Rajesh. Bai says keep an eye on Durga and you can tell her that she can continue her studies after her marriage. Vikram says how dare she eye my son.. send her off. Bai says she is a snake so lets take care of her. Anurag hides and thinks he can’t let this happen. 

Scene 2

Anurag comes to the lounge and smiles at Durga. She brings food for everyone. Bai comes there and tells the family that she wants to tell something.. its time. Savitri asks what’s going on? Bai says the kids want to study and will get married soon so we should move to the city. Savitri says I will never leave my palace. Anant says we want good education and proposals for our kids. Vikram says our politics will grow there so we will all shift. Savitri says I won’t leave my palace. Madhav says our memories are here. Bai says everyone wants to shift to the city, its for the kids. Savitri says don’t interfere in this. Vikram says all the kids want to shift to the city. Anurag looks at Durga and says I want to stay here and serve villagers. Vikram says you can come here and serve them. Anurag says if Durga wants to stay back.. Vikram says I am here to take decisions for her. Bai says Durga will stay here and continue her studies. Madhav says then Savitri and I can stay back. Vikram says I can’t leave my mother behind. Durga says I will be living in the hostel so don’t worry about me. Bai says Vikram has always taken care of you so don’t worry. Some villagers arrive there and beg Durga to come and help them. A man says his daughter got bitten by a snake and she can save her. Anurag says we can go and check. Bai says she won’t go anywhere. Vikram says we can’t say no to them. Anurag says we won’t get an antidote in such a short time. Durga says I know how to treat using herbs. Bai says I won’t let Durga go out at this time. Anurag says I will go with her. Durga says come with me, we have to save that kid’s life. Bai says you can’t go. Durga says I have to save her life. She goes to get her stuff. The villager tells Bai that they will return Durga back so don’t worry. 

Bai talks to the family and says they can’t allow Durga to go out at this time. Indira says they can take the kid to the hospital. Durga says that girl is in danger and its my dream to serve people so I can’t sit here and not do anything.
