Scene 1

Madhav comes home so Bai asks where was he? he says I was out handling my business. Bai tells him to wrap it up and prepare to go to the city. Savitri asks why does she care about him suddenly? Bai says I have to think about it, its my duty to care about the future of this palace and if Madhav has a share in this house and wealth like his other 2 brothers. Savitri is shocked hearing that and asks what did you say? Bai says Madhav was always kept away from family matters. Vikram and Anand handle everything while Madhav never had any rights, he might not understand why but I do. Savitri tells her to not play with fire. Aarti asks what’s going on? Savitri says its nothing. Bai laughs and says there are some secrets that we can’t talk about. Madhav asks what she wants to

say? Bai says I always asked you to call me Mai instead of Bai, you know why? Madhav says because you are a Bai and my Mai is Savitri. Anurag tells them to stop it. Bai says fine. She asks Aarti to prepare for the dinner for Durga, she was your daughter once. Savitri tells Aarti to ignore her, she is talking rubbish. Bai says I have too many stories that I have kept in my heart but my patience is running thin now. She tells Madhav to go to the city and work with his brothers. Madhav says my business is here. Bai says its my order to go there and work with them. Savitri looks on.

Scene 2

Durga is getting ready. Rajesh tells her to get ready soon. Meera tells Durga to tell the truth to Anurag. Durga says no, I can’t put him in trouble. Bua knocks on her door and tells her to hurry up. Meera says she is getting ready so wait. She tells Durga that you destroyed your life by marrying Rajesh to protect Anurag but you can’t spoil your life with him. Durga says the truth is I got married before marrying Rajesh. We exchanged garlands and accepted each other as a couple so I can’t allow Rajesh to ever touch me because he is another man for me. Meera says Rajesh won’t let you free. Durga says I have to fight for myself. Meera says you are fighting but Anurag doesn’t even know that. Durga says I will go far away from here. Meera says Rajesh won’t allow you. Durga says I don’t know but I won’t let Rajesh touch me ever. Meera tells her to tell the truth to Anurag. Durga says no, I can’t. Maybe we weren’t fated together but I will always love him. Meera gets emotional and says I never had a love like you, I feel so sad that you lost it. You do whatever you think is right. Durga smiles and says Anurag took care of everything for me, he would write me letters and made me so happy. Meera hugs her and says you are like my daughter, I can just pray for you. Durga tells her to take care and eat on time. Meera says sorry I couldn’t protect you before. Durga says I am sorry too.

Durga comes out of her room. Rajesh tells her why she got ready so much? Durga says you are right to think why I got ready so much and for whom. She says Rajesh must be ready as he would get gifts there. He glares at her and calls Mohan, he asks him to get gifts that he will take for Durga’s family.
