Precap: The grade system comes to an end in the school. Shravan celebrates with his friend in his house with a party.
At school
After first period the start of summer vacation gets announced. Students slowly comes out of classroom while chatting. Suman and Shravan comes out too.
Shravan: Finally the vacation starts. I will have fun now. And Sumo, whenever you gets tired of your study you are very much welcome to come at my house. I will teach how to enjoy a vacation.
Suman: Shravan maybe you should try studying for a change, cause there won’t be much time left to do so after holidays.
Shravan: Yaar please don’t start, papa is already after me.
Suman: Well uncle is not wrong. After exams we will have to start planning for the future too.
Shravan: I’m set on that. What about you?
Suman: Actually yeah I have also decided something. And I think the credit for that goes to you.
Shravan: Really!
Suman: Yeah, after past few months experience of everything made me realize what I would like to do.
Shravan: Great yaar, when you become successful don’t forget me then.
Suman laughs.
Suman: Bye Shravan.
Shravan: Bye.
Suman leaves. Shravan goes towards his bike, but Anish and his gang comes in his way. They were talking among each other but stop seeing Shravan. Shravan tries to pass them but they don’t let him.
Shravan: What is it?
Anish: I just wanted to clear one thing.
Shravan: Whatever it is say it fast. I don’t have time to spend on you guys.
Anish: Whatever happened yesterday, fine, I accept my defeat. You did it, you ruined the grade system.
Shravan laughs.
Shravan: It doesn’t matter whether you accept or not.
Anish: But if you think that you can get away with it then you are wrong. From today you are my sole enemy. And you are gonna regret making me your enemy.
Shravan: I was never interested to be your friend again anyway. Do whatever you want and now get out of my way.
Bhopali comes there and says the principal is calling for Shravan.
Anish: It seems you got yourself in trouble even today.
Shravan angrily looks at him and then goes with Bhopali. There was some students in the principal’s room already, they leaves one by one when Shravan enters.
Shravan: Sir, did you call for me?
Principal: Yes, Shravan. Come with me. I have something to discuss with you.
Principal gets up from his chat and goes towards the corridor. Shravan looks at Bhopali and tries to ask him in sign what is the matter. Bhopali signals him to go. Principal looks back at him and calls for him.
Principal: Come on, don’t be afraid.
Shravan mumbles: I wonder which wrong deed of me he found out. Am I going to get thrown out of school today.
Shravan hurriedly goes towards him, both of them walks in the corridor while Bhopali follows by from a little behind.
Principal: So how was school life till now?
Shravan thinks back on all the events till now.
Shravan: Great sir. It was uhh…. educational.
Principal: Hmm, actually I wanted to have this talk with you at the end of the year but I have to do it now.
Shravan’s Pov
Is he really going to throw me out?
Principal: Cause you see I’m going on a trip and I won’t be here for the rest of your school year.
Shravan breaths out and laughs.
Shravan: Oh you are leaving, I mean you are leaving sir?
Principal: Hmm. Before going I wanted to thank you.
Shravan: Thank me?
Principal: I know what you did. How you ended the discriminative mentality of the students about army and civilian.
Shravan gets shocked.
Shravan: You knew?
Principal: Of course, I’m the principal, if I don’t know what going on in my school then who will. What did you think, that you guys managed to make full civilian team and army team during the fair and sports festival by luck when I have issued the buddy program?
Shravan becomes speechless. He looks behind at Bhopali who gives a smile. It becomes clear to him how the principal knows everything. Shravan somehow manages to find his voice.
Shravan: Sir why didn’t you said anything?
Principal: I was keeping an eye on everything. I saw how the buddy program didn’t work out and the rivalry kept going on. So I tried a different way by letting you guys compete.
Shravan: I’m sorry sir if I crossed a line somewhere, I just wanted to…
Principal: I know Shravan what you meant to do. I was keeping an update on you. I must say I’m impressed, how after making mistakes you were brave enough to accept it and give so much effort to fix it.
Shravan realizes he is pointing towards the incident at Anish’s party. He gets surprised and glares at Bhopali, who looks at a different way.
Shravan’s Pov
He even told that. I have been keeping a spy with me till now.
Principal: I have seen a lot of brave soldiers and their bravery. I have seen a lot of students in my teaching life. But you Shravan, my boy you are one of a kind.
He takes out a cigar.
Principal: This cigar was given by
my CO after the Burma mission for my bravery.
Shravan: Yeah you told the story when I came to get admitted.
Principal: You have got good memory. Now I’m giving this to you.
Shravan gets surprised being offered like this out of the blue.
Shravan: Wha…me?
Principal: Yes, like I said, my CO had told me to pass this to a soldier whom I find more braver than myself. And I think you are the one. I can see you will have a great future ahead of you. Keep doing hard work like this.
He gives him the cigar, Shravan takes it, he is still surprised. The principal salutes, Shravan gets more surprised, he salutes too. He looks at the cigar.
Shravan: Papa will be so happy. Sir, can I take a selfie.
Principal: Sure.
They takes a selfie together. Bhopali joins them.
Tiwari house
Suman and Kanchan enters the house. They sees Bina packing a package.
Kanchan: Mummy, what is this?
Bina: It’s a wedding gift. We got an invitation, Cornell Kapoor’s daughter’s wedding.
Kanchan: Oh, who is going?
Bina: Your dadu, father and me. Bare papa won’t be able to go cause his reports will be coming tomorrow, so bhabi won’t go either.
Suman: Chachi, where is mummy papa?
Bina: They are in their room.
Suman goes to her parents room.
Anjali: Suman, you came back already.
Vijay: Do you have something to say?
Suman: Yes, mummy, papa, a few months back you had asked me a question I couldn’t answer. But now I have decided, what’s my future plans are.
Vijay and Anjali looks at each other.
Suman: I want to be a doctor, an army doctor.
Vijay: When you have decided already, I’m sure you have decided with giving it much thoughts.
Anjali: You have to study a lot to become a doctor.
Suman: I know, I will study a lot and make this dream come true and make you guys proud.
Suman hugs her parents.
Vijay: Then I will be waiting for the day to receive treatment from you.
Anjali: Now go and get fresh.
Suman smiles and leaves.
Malhotra House
Shravan gets in the house and throws his bag. He runs in the kitchen.
Shravan: Mummy, where is papa? Did he went to office?
Kavita: No he is still here. See, he must be in the room.
Shravan runs from there.
Kavita: What Shravan putter, at least have some water.
Shravan finds his father getting ready in the room.
Devraj: What happened? Why are you running around like a monkey after returning from school? Just because the holidays started doesn’t mean you can fool around. Don’t forget there is final exam.
Shravan doesn’t listen to him and stands beside him with a big smile. He looks at Shravan.
Devraj: Why are you smiling like that?
Shravan: Papa I want to show you something.
Devraj: What.
Shravan shows him the cigar. He looks at it for a while and then at Shravan. He starts beating him.
Devraj: You have started this in this age.
Shravan: Papa what are you saying, this is the principal’s cigar.
Devraj stops and looks at him.
Devraj: What do you mean principal’s cigar?
Shravan: You don’t remember? The first day at the school…
Devraj remembers the first day and the story the principal told them. He takes the cigar.
Devraj: Why do you have it…
Shravan: Principal gave it to me. See.
Shravan shows the selfie.
Shravan: He said he is really impressed with me, and thinks I have a great future. He praised me a lot. He wanted to give this after the end of the year but he had to leave so he gave it….
Devraj hugs Shravan, Shravan gets happy and hugs him strongly.
Devraj: You have made me so proud today putter. I can’t believe this.
Shravan smiles at him. Devraj gets teary eyes.
Devraj: Just keep going on like this. I have a lot of hopes and dreams for you.
Shravan hugs him again.
Shravan’s room
Shravan looks at his books and thinks of how he said he will enjoy the vacation to Suman and how his dad got happy today. He sits down.
Shravan: Yaar dad was so happy today, he said he have so much hopes for me. I can’t ruin that.
Bunty: What are you talking to yourself?
Shravan gets shocked by the sudden voice and looks back. He sees Bunty standing with a bag.
Shravan: Why are you are here, what’s with the bag?
Bunty: What are you saying Mia, didn’t you read my msg?
Shravan: What msg?
Bunty puts down his bag and checks his phone.
Bunty: Oh, it seems I forgot to press send. You see, my family members went away for the holidays. So I came to stay with you.
Bunty jumps on the bed.
Bunty: But tell me something, what were you mumbling? Are you still chanting Suman’s name?
Shravan throws a pillow on Bunty’s face.
Shravan: Don’t talk nonsense.
Bunty: You are doing nonsense Mia. School ended and you couldn’t do a single thing. What do you think you would do now. You should forget about it.
Shravan: Hey, I told you not to talk nonsense.
Bunty: Oh, I’m talking nonsense. Fine, let’s imagine you managed to woo her. Then what? What will you do if uncle finds out, or Suman’s papa Cornell uncle finds out? And if that budda daddu finds that his grand daughter have selected a civilian partner like you, he will shoot you in the chest. Have you thought about that?
Shravan: No, I mean… Uhh….
Bunty: You have nothing to say, just like I thought. Mia, you might have ended the army civilian fight in the school but it still goes on in full speed in both of your houses. So you have no hope in this one sided love story.
Shravan falls in deep thought hearing Bunty’s speech.
Next: Suman comes at Shravan’s house and says they need to run away from home. Just kidding.
