Precap: Shravan and his team won the championship in the cultural fest for their play, Shravan won the best performer prize. Suman got to know the reason behind Shravan’s not attending the rehearsal, she comes to visit Shravan.
Shravan gets busy seeing Suman in his room. He tries to stand up but due to his pain he couldn’t able to do so. He tries to act as if everything is fine.
Shravan: Sumo, you are here? Is everything ok?
Suman comes and sits down at the side of the bed.
Suman: Where did you got hurt?
Shravan: Hurt? Who told you?
Shravan looks at Bunty who now realizes how Suman got to know about this. He looks at Shravan and holds his ear as a gesture of saying sorry. Shravan throws a cushion at him.
Shravan: This Bunty is too much, it’s nothing much Sumo, if I just rest for the day then I’ll be fine. You don’t have to worry.
Suman: Shravan, I’m asking for the last time, where did you got hurt?
Shravan shows his right knee, he couldn’t able to protest anymore.
Shravan: There.
Bunty: Hmm, he fall on the floor in the washroom.
Shravan: Hey shut up, I didn’t fall and got hurt. Somehow I got hurt first, that’s why I fall.
Suman looks around the room and finds a scissor, she takes it and comes back to Shravan. Then she starts cutting his jeans where he got hurt. Shravan’s eyes gets big.
Shravan: Hey what are you doing? This is one of my best jeans, why are you cutting it? The parade was fine, we even won the champion award for the play. For what you are taking revenge?
Suman: Shhhh.
Suman hush Shravan and gets busy in cutting the jeans, Shravan keeps looking at her, her hair flies in the air. Suman finishes cutting the part where Shravan got hurt. When she removed the cloth all of them noticed that Shravan’s right knee has swelled up, and the color has turned red. Suman gets tensed seeing this.
Suman: Shravan, you need to visit the doctor.
Shravan: Come on, it’s nothing that we need to bother a doctor.
Suman: And there is no problem to visit just to be sure that nothing is wrong. Come on, you have to visit the doctor.
Suman takes Shravan at clinic, Bunty comes with them. The doctor looks at Shravan from top to bottom.
Doctor: What happened?
Shravan: Well, I was at the wasroom, standing before the mirror. Suddenly I felt something inside my right knee moved and I lost balance and fall.
Doctor: Hmm. Go and lie down on that bed.
Shravan looks confused at others and does as the doctor asked.
Doctor: You did very good Suman, by bringing him here. Most people neglect these situations or comes very late. If he had come after a week then we need to do a operation. But now we can solve this very easily.
Shravan: Doctor, what happened to me?
Doctor: I’ll tell.
Then he instructs something to his assistant and the assistant goes somewhere. He looks at Suman and Bunty.
Doctor: After all this is the time for you guys to jumping around and playing around. A lot worse could happen, he would limp for the rest of his life. But coming here in time was a very good decision.
Bunty: Doctor mia, will you please say what happen to Shravan mia.
Doctor: Let me show you instead of saying.
The assistant have come back with something. The doctor comes to Shravan’s bed and takes the packet from him. Suman and Bunty too comes to see what is going on. The doctor brings out a big injection from the packet, it’s needle is long and thicker then usual, overall it’s a real big one. Shravan almost had an heart attack with the view of it, he was about to get up and run away from there but Bunty stops him.
Bunty: Mia what are you doing? Do you want to tell Suman that you are afraid of needle?
Shravan afraidly looks at Suman and lies down again. But Suman too got scared seeing such a big injection. The doctor comes at Shravan with the injection and Shravan couldn’t help but looking at that big needle, he wanted to not look at it but he couldn’t help himself. The doctor didn’t took any medicine in it and directly inserted the needle in Shravan’s right knee, in the part that has swelled up. Suman holds Shravan’s hand and Shravan forgets everything and looks at his hand and then at Suman. The doctor started taking out blood from there through the injection and he takes out a lot.
Doctor: The ligament got tear and you see due to that blood got stuck in here. If you hadn’t come in time then this wouldn’t have been this easy to take out. We might had to do a operation for this and young man you wouldn’t be able to walk properly again.
The doctor takes out the injection full of blood. Now the knee isn’t looking like before anymore. Shravan lies down on the bed with a relief, he tries to forget the scene he had seen a few moments ago but it seems it will haunt him forever. Suman lets go of his hand.
Suman: So doctor everything is fine now?
Doctor: Hmm, everything is fine, I just have to do a plaster so the ligament gets back to normal again.
He signals the assistant again. He goes and comes back with equipment of plaster.
Doctor: I can do the plaster around the knee, but you youngster can’t stay quite at a place at all. I better plaster the whole leg.
Shravan: What?
As he looks with horror, the doctor started plastering. Just like he said, he plastered the whole leg, only his toes could be seen.
Shravan: How will I walk now?
Doctor: You will use crutch, but you better don’t walk at all. You need to take complete bed rest for 21 days, then I will cut the plaster.
Shravan: I have school.
Doctor: Nothing at all. I’ll give a medical report, submit it in the school. Complete bed rest means complete bed rest.
Then he wrote down a prescription and gives it to Bunty. Bunty’s eyes got big seeing it.
Bunty: 4tablet in the morning, 5 tablet on noon, 5 on night?
Shravan: What?
Shravan couldn’t take it anymore. He sits up on the bed and realizes he can’t even go back to home on his own now. They says good bye to the doctor as he kept saying what more worse could have happen if they had came late, Shravan gives one hand over Bunty’s shoulder and one over Suman’s and leave the hospital pratically jumping on one leg. They takes a taxi back home and buys a pair of crutches along the way. After returning to Malhotra house, they gets down from the taxi. Bunty pays the driver and Shravan takes the cruch to walk. As he tries to move he loses balance and was about to fall but Suman holds him in time. They have an eye lock. Suman helps him stand up properly again, Bunty comes and helps too. Shravan realizes using a crutch isn’t that easy. With their help and the crutches he slowly walks and comes to the door. After the door opened, started another drama.
Kavita: Shravan, what happened? How did your leg got broken? Does it hurt much?
Shravan sits down on the sofa and places his leg on the table.
Shravan: No mumma, my leg isn’t broken and it’s not hurting at all.
Devraj: What do you mean that it’s not broken? Your whole leg is plastered. Whom did you fight with?
Shravan: Papa, I’m telling the truth, neither I fight with anyone nor my leg is broken.
Suman: Uncle he is right, only ligament got tear up in his right knee.
Devraj: How?
Bunty: He fall down on the washroom yesterday.
Kavita started crying.
Devraj: You fall down on the washroom and you didn’t even told us?
Shravan gives an angry looks to Bunty.
Shravan: Papa, you are understanding it totally wrong. The ligament got tear up on its own and that’s why I fall down. Coincidentally I was in the washroom at that time. There is no fault of mine in this.
Devraj: No fault, if you had no fault then why didn’t you inform us?
Kavita: Please don’t say anything to my son, he must be in so pain.
Suman: Uncle actually Shravan thought it’s not important. The doctor said most of the people does the same mistake.
Shravan: And mumma, do you know the doctor is so cruel. He said that if we got late a lot of worse thing could happen. He could have said that we came in time and there is no problem anymore. But no, he kept saying whatever bad thing could have happen if we got late.
Devraj: Thank you Suman beta. I know Shravan would never go to the doctor, thanks for taking him.
Suman: It’s ok uncle. The doctor said he will cut the plaster after 21 days, till then Shravan has to take complete bed rest.
Bunty: And there is the prescription.
Devraj: Why are you giving me it, go and buy the medicine from the market.
Bunty fakes a smile and turns. He murmurs.
Bunty: I too took Shravan mia at hospital, but all the thank you is for Suman, and for me “go to the market and buy the medicine”.
Devraj: What did you say?
Bunty: Nothing uncle, I’m going.
Bunty goes from there.
Suman: Uncle it’s getting late, I’ll go home now.
Devraj: Sure, thank you again.
Suman smiles.
Suman: Shravan, take rest and don’t worry about school. I’ll come to meet you tomorrow and give you all the details of class work and home work. Bye. Bye unlce, bye aunty.
Suman leaves. Shravan looks at his plastered leg and sighs.
