Shishupal asks Meghnath to leave as it is old technique to cause problems amongst the people, Meghnath says they can leave his plans aside and talk about their leader Bhim Rao and how they believe he can do something, he says that if he is able to sell newspaper then it is fine but otherwise Bhim should leave Bombay, Sethji says it is up to Bhim or them to decide where he lives when Meghnath replies they were praising Bhim for so long, then what is the problem they have for placing the bet.
Bhim is sitting with Rama who wonders how will they sell the newspaper tomorrow, Bhim replies he is still thinking but fearing that he might not be able to fulfill the challenge he gave to Bhim Rao and is feeling his belief is not that much, Rama asks how can he lose hope so Bhim says that it
Meghnath says that if they trust Bhim then should place the bet otherwise must stop praising Bhim, he looking at them all asks why have they gotten quiet and says it is the test of their belief on their leader so Deepak agrees to him saying if Bhim is not able to fulfill his challenge then they will send Bhim out, Nandu also agrees to the proposal of Meghnath that if Bhim is not able to sell the newspaper then they will send him out of Bombay.
Bhim tells Rama that he no longer has any belief on himself seeing which Rama gets worried.
Meghnath says he will feel good after seeing their leader be defeated in front of them when Meghnath mentions both tonight and the day of tomorrow is going to be very nice, Shishupal says then he must go because it would be the day of his loss and Bhim’s winning, Shishupal says that if Meghnath loses then would have to accept one of their suggestion, he thinks of how he said they are not able to do anything of Bhim and ruin his plans, Bhim even managed to get the signs from the people, Deepak asks Meghnath if he is ready when he asks what would he have to accept, Sethji says that if he is asking this question then it proves his threat but if he has the trust on his own class then should agree to accept whatever they ask him and then make sure that Bhim is not able to sell even a single newspaper. Deepak asks if he is ready saying on one side he has the support of his entire class while at the other end is Bhim, Meghnath hesitantly agrees to the condition saying if Bhim is not able to sell at least twenty newspapers then he would have to be sent out of Bombay, Shishupal agrees saying Meghnath should go as they have accepted it but he must also remember it, Meghnath leaves saying he is going to win. Deepak says they have to tell Bhim about the challenge, Sethji agrees so they all start walking.
Bhim sitting with Rama says he is not able to think how to sell the newspaper, Shishupal walking says they have to sell at least twenty hearing which Bhim stands up in shock, Shishupal says they have placed a bet with his father that if Bhim is able to sell twenty newspapers then he would agree to one of their desires while if it does not happen then Bhim would have to leave Bombay. Bhim asks what have they done when Deepak says Meghnath was saying a lot of bad things so they set the bet, Bhim says he does not trust himself, Shishupal along with Sethji and Deepak says they trust him, Rama mentions that she accepts they should not have placed the bet but now that it has happened they must accept it and he should think of something, Bhim asks how can he think of something.
They hear the distributor cursing the person saying the police donot do anything regarding the alcoholic places, Sethji says Bhim can do anything and if it does not happen then all of them would leave Bombay together.
In the morning Jija Bai and Karuna sitting on the bed call Shoba asking if Deepak told anything, Shoba says he came late at night then left early, Karuna says what if he has also ran away like her husband, Jija Bai says they went out and heard that there has been a bet that if Bhim is able to sell twenty newspapers then Meghnath would agree to one of their condition otherwise they would leave Bombay. Ramji asks when did it happen, Jija Bai says he does not know anything and explains that he should stay quiet as Bhim did not tell him anything, Karuna also says he does not have the patience, Bala comes agreeing with them all when Ramji asks him to stay quiet, Bala says that everyone in the Chawl stays quiet and even those people who used to say something have been forced to stay quiet due to Bhim. Jija Bai stops a person asking which newspaper is he taking when he replies why would he take the newspaper which is published from this Chawl, Karuna even jokes about it saying how will they sell anything if they keep standing at once place.
Shishupal tells Bhim that it was his idea that they will be able to sell their newspaper but it has been a lot of time and they have not been able to sell anything, Meghnath coming asks if he has set it near the police colony when Meghnath questions would the newspaper sell by itself over at this spot, Rama says it would be surely sold, Meghnath says half of the newspapers would be sold but have they been able to sell even one of them, Sethji asks him to wait but Meghnath warns him to end the drama saying if they remember the challenge that they have to send Bhim Rao out of Bombay, they all are furious. Meghnath tries to leave when they ask if the story about their locality is published in this newspaper, Bhim ges excited so sells the newspaper seeing which Meghnath is stunned. The supporters of Bhim are smiling as the person leaves with the newspaper when Meghnath asks if he is taking the newspaper from the lower class but the person says they would purchase the newspaper which has their story while Meghnath gets tensed.
