Annad asks Karuna not to worry, they will send Bala. Karuna leaves. Meera wonders what happened to her. Jijabai knows that everyone must be worried about Karuna’s changed behavior, and would blame Jijabai for it but if Karuna continues to do so she will make her life hell. Karuna tells that Bala will hit her, Jijabai has a solution for it, tells the plan, she knows that Bala will not attack for Bhim Rao’s sake.
Bhim Rao and his family eats dinner, other employees complain of starvation. Bhim Rao said that they shouldn’t have fought unnecessarily. Sethji sent his men to bring dinners for others. Anand asks Bala to go home, Bala questions. Everyone convinces Bala to go home for Karuna. Bala plans to teach Karuna a lesson, he leaves for home.
Ramji sets his bed, he
Bala goes to Karuna threatening to break her bones. Karuna lifts a lamp asking him to break her bone with which she will go to Bhim Rao asking him to fight a new battle for her. Bala throws the stick away. He wonders why Karuna is saving herself by using Bhim Rao’s name, despite being angry at him. Karuna wants him to eat dinner with her, Bala is her husband. Ramji witnesses this through the window. Jijabai says that Karuna is a proof of the new Jijabai.
Ramji brings a bed for Bhim Rao and others, he is here to support his son. Rama doesn’t care what people say, the heart is what matters. Rama wonders what Sethji feels for. Sethji will call the police on Bhim Rao if he doesn’t leave by tomorrow.
Next morning, Joku was brought before the judge in court. A man informs Sethji that the police do not want to indulge in a battle with Bhim Rao and Rama. Lakshmi says that people fear the ones who fight for justice.
Ramji asks Karuna to leave the house with Bala, Jijabai will not let anyone leave peacefully. Karuna questions him for asking the eldest daughter in law to leave. Ramji has no choice, Karuna will fight with everyone else, and Rama and Bhim Rao are already indulged in their personal battles. Karuan questions, the house belongs to her and Bala equally. Ramji will do whatever he can to maintain the peace of his house. Karuna’s path directs her inside the house, not away from it. Jijabai, waiting at the door, knows that a new road has begun. Ramji knows that Karuna is facing some battles, at whatever point she is at in her life, it should not be towards her mother in law. Karuna used to think good about Ramji, but now she accepts the fact that Jijabai is the best person. Karuna isn’t leaving this house, she is going to Jijabai. Karuna hugs her. Ramji recalls Jijabai threatening him to turn Karuna like her.
The lawyers put attempted murder charges on Joku for hitting an innocent man. Joku denies. The lawyer at defense asks about the location where the victim got hit. Everyone agrees that he got hit in Chawl. The lawyers want to know why the victim was in the chawl in the first place.
Rama and Lakshmi have made their decision, they want a job. Sethji says that the owner will do the same thing as him, and offers to get them a job at a nearby road construction site. Rama tells that a little protest changed Sethji’s decision, a little more protest may do wonders. Sethji sends his men to work. Rama tells that Bhim Rao will return after the court hearing, Sethji won’t be allowed to sit here freely after that.
The lawyer argues, it’s a free world, anyone can be anywhere. The other lawyer questions him for not answering simple questions, he takes the Judge’s permission to enlighten everyone on this topic. He calls the witnesses up front. Bhim Rao was asked to join them as well. The lawyer objected to Bhim Rao’s presence. Bala tells that everything is related to Bhim Rao. The lawyer puts his case, tells that all these people are the ones who went to Bhim Rao’s chawl, Joku is the victim here, he is being used as a reason to not bring forward the other case. The opposition lawyer objects. The defence lawyer questions the men to tell why they went to Bhim Rao’s chawl.
