Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani 3rd March 2017 Written Episode, Written Update on TellyUpdates.com
Nani brings a few married ladies for a Pooja. Raaj Mata asks how Nani is aware of Raajputna rituals. Nani says she is also Raajputani, her daughter married an outsider and without Pooja and Pandit. She has seen her family disperse, but Naina’s wedding was also the same and she wants them to flourish in life. Raja tells Nani this isn’t needed. Raaj Mata says she herself is also worried about all these bad omens. Raja insists Naina needs rest at the moment, but Naina comes saying she will do this Pooja. She couldn’t fulfil her mother’s dreams, but all her responsibilities as a wife. Raja leaves the table without saying a word. Raaj Mata comes to tell Naina to give Raja some time. Nani smirks towards Laila who was watching from behind the wall.
Naina was ready in the room when Raja comes in. Naina says she knew well he would come for Pooja. Raja takes his gun saying he only came for this. Naina stops him asking if he is angry. Raja says he only cares for her health. Naina says she is doing this all for their good marriage. Raja allows her to do whatever she wish for, only take care of herself. Rekha comes with bindi for her. Laila watches Naina from the door and thinks in their India, no husband cares for a wife’s life. She looks towards pliers in her hand.
In the midst of Pooja where there was strong drum beating and color sprinkles, Laila drags Naina’s wheel chair silently dragging it away. Raja’s car punctures. He feels Naina’s hand over his. Laila was taking Naina away. Raaj Mata feels Naina’s absence. Laila had pushed Naina’s wheel chair which ran out of control towards the wall of well. Naina fell off. Laila goes to look for Naina fallen in well but Naina had caught the handles on walls of well. Everyone run to save Naina. Raaj Mata and Mummy comes to save her. Naina only cried. Mummy sends Rekha to get the ropes. Raja had just entered the palace and runs towards the well hearing Naina’s scream. He bends to drag Naina upwards, pulling her with his full strength. Laila watches him bent over Naina who lay on floor, Raja threw the color on floor into her hairline. He then holds Naina to get on her wheel chair. Naina sat there with blank scared looks as Raaj Mata asks her what happened. She makes up it was so abrupt, she didn’t realize how it happened. May be the breaks of wheel chair had failed. Raja watches the wire of wheel chair had been cut.
In the palace, Raja drags Laila down. She fell off, he asks if she was hurt but was lesser than Naina. It’s because of Laila that Naina is unable to walk, she then ruined her respect, last night she left a snake into Naina’s room, but not anymore. He had promised her father to protect her from her enemies. Today, he breaks all of his promise… but Naina forbids him complete his sentence. Raja tells Naina to honestly say what Laila was about to do. She considers wheel chair event an accident. She tells Raja she had clutched the wire so strong, it broke. Raja calls Naina an idiot, and shouldn’t consider him one. Naina still denies Laila’s involvement. Raja insists the wheel chair wires had been cut off. Laila speaks from behind asking Raja if she has nothing else to do than to kill Naina. Raja shouts at Laila to stop it. Naina takes the responsibility over her carelessness. Raja shouts at her too. He warns Laila this won’t happen again. Laila was offensive. Raja says next time, there is a single scratch over Naina’s body Laila would be held responsible.
PRECAP: Laila shows Nani a small table which shows illusionary things to a man. Raja comes to hold Naina’s hand. She says she doesn’t need any support. Raja says he has come over as a companion.

re-living the beginning of Raja and Rani’s courtship …
Raja is fortunate to fall in love … twice (sigh)
I am sorry to say that many characters in etretr2 are slowly becoming the delight of hypocrites.Dadu who claims to be a noble character hardly remembers her granddaughter now .What about Raja?He was supposed to be passionately in love with his wife since their childhood but he did not think twice to tie knot with another woman. Thewriters should not have wasted almost 150 of their precious episodes if their intention was only to end the story like this.God! Ican not withstand the Naina character at all..She is supposed to be the epitome of innocence and piousness and the only person to see and interact with Rani’s spirit but within a few days of bidding farewell to her spirit ,she did not hesitate to marry Raja. How disgusting! Thewriters have miserably failed in creating a lookalike of Rani. She is neither mature or immature.Surely at 18 and being a junior artist’s daughter and a junior artist herself she can not be too naive to understand that her mother and sister can not sleep with her now after marriage. If the writers want me to see the romance of Raja and the miserable Naina from now onwards ,I am done with.If they have any intention of bringing back Rani ,I will be more than happy to come back. By the way mantras and god men are not necessary to reintroduce Rani,The way Raja came back after such a serious fall Rani also can comeback with a twist.Goodluck to all of you and thanks.
Hi lakshmi
I second you in this . I am utterly disappointed with how they have shaped up the story. We were still in the the hope that naina was rani but after seeing yesterday’s episode my expectations went down the hill. First of all I have no idea why they killed rani and raja falling in love with naina is totally unacceptable. Rani was such a brave and confident girl and this naina is a brainless and height of stupidity . Rajmata was the one who gave rani the idea to take revenge on iqbal and not to tell raja and rani followed the same and now she’s helping raja to get close to naina. Oh I can’t stand it, and raja falling in love with naina is a utter stupidity the writers are showing . As you said I hope they end this naina track and shown that naina is rani other wise there is no use of showing the soul bonding between raja rani or raja naina . In many cases they have shown there Is a connection between naina and raja, hence my hope is naina is rani. Just cannot accept raja and naina’s love story.
Totally agree with you guys. Naina is brainless and an annoying character. Gosh I can’t stand her!!! My take on this episode as with this storyline and Naina: Yyyyaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!! ( followed by a rolling of eyes!)
I do agree lakshmi, watching raja fall for naina is hard but im hoping that she is rani otherwise that’s it for me and this show. Hopefully this naina track will finish soon and rani will be back.
you would think raja from experiance knows that women can be nasty with his experiance with bindu
and would just leave amd go back to ameerkot they have a house & land there
i would like to see naina mum go and remember stealing the twin from drashti
which starts the twist of connection to rani and her dreams from young
i would prefer to see naina more like drashti character but these Vamps are getting boring.
maybe they should concentrate on a happy life without people trying to kill them or hurt them
more like her learing the roots its only like 28yra since they killed rana ji off if u calulate it.
the nani is slightly two faced at first i thought she was good telling laila she is bad and shameful only for a man
i mean – in real life if a man loves someone else usually we get over it wish them luck and move on…
this is the same drama as bindu – useless
Yes Maya agree.. Bindu n Laila both the characters are sketched the same way… Obsessive lovers…. Sorry not lovers maniacs… True lovers will move on if the one they love doesn’t reciprocate…
Even naina being rani’s twin is hard to accept, even if it is true why would raja fall for her? Even iqbal knew the difference between his fiancee and her sister, he loved one and not the other. If the writers are saying that raja and rani’s love was so fleeting that he could fall for her twin then that’s rubbish. Anyways i really hope that naina is rani its the only outcome i can accept.
you know something ztv ratings would surely spike up if they would end their serial when the time comes and stop prolonging the inevitable. in the quest to prolong the serial they keep fishing for storylines and so get lost in the process hence the reason the end up writing shit/crap storyline which aint making much sense at all, now all they had to do was stick to the storyline re the palace and not jump to an entirely different storyline out of the palace. just as how jamai raja came to a good ending this was how ek tha rani ek tha raja was suppose to end; ok the writers pushed it way too far after bari rani maa died ; my gosh all they had to do now was get rid of jungle man kaal too and send bindu to jail and then let raja and rani have a proper wedding in the palace and continue with their lives including raaj maata a/c queen mother and that would have been a good ending or let rani be with child after the night she had with raja instead of having an accident with old ass looking iqbal now mind you he is good looking but in an old way lol
Well friends, in this episode without doubt, the writers are shoving this Naina down our throats. They are sidetracking us by making us feel that it’s the Sartaj /Eisha chemistry on display and not Raja /Naina because they know we loved them as Raja /Rani. Grrrrrr…. I felt like strangling Raja when he fell over Naina and was looking so deeply into her childlike eyes. Naina pretends to be immature when in fact she’s in love with Raja. All this time, she was trying to unite Laila and Raja but she’s a backstabber, she separated them instead. To tell the truth, I hate this Naina character so much that I didn’t mind if he fell in love with Laila. Naina is really an idiot, that palace on flat ground, so how did the motorized wheelchair run down the hill to end up in the well? The wheelchair even turned corners too!!! Also…Nani should be teaching her granddaughter good values but instead
she’s allowing her to drink like a horse and chase down a man who doesn’t want her….how pathetic is that??? So.. Naina is suddenly the proverbial paragon of
virtue…. Ohhhhh… Laila didn’t push me,
the chair pushed itself and she happen to end up in the well!!! Sapphire, your comment makes so much sense….. Why oh why….didn’t the story go the way you put
it.? Thank goodness, Sapphire, that JR
ended up with Mahi and Satya and their babies, I was pleased about the ending. Happy that botox lip Shabnam /Kareena got what she deserved. Now it is this serial
we are going to have to deal with now,
let’s see how much more screwed up this gets and have a good laugh, if it wasn’t for the friendship of us all, I would have been long gone like I’m sure the others would have too. Sapphire dear, I’ve just come back from a wake, my younger sister’s sasuma passed away , so that why I didn’t post comments earlier. So I’m tired and going to bed now.. Good night and chat soon. It’s now 12.03am ??
NAZ I DO NOT LIKE TO TELL PEOPLE TO ACCEPT MY SYMPATHY BECAUSE IT MAKES ME FEEL SO SAD SO WHAT I DO SAY IS TO BE STRONG, KEEP THE FAITH AND KEEP ON PRAYING; GOD IS ALWAYS BY YOUR SIDE. HAVE A PEACEFUL AND RESTFUL NIGHT AND WE WILL CHAT TOMORROW.
I hear you my dear…thanks….im a strong woman, both of my ex husband parents passed away right in front of my eyes and that’s the honest truth. I was living with them, they were old, the ex being the last of 12kids..yes you read that right!!! It’s etched in my memories to see the light of life slowly ebb away from the eyes into oblivion and another dimension, nothing in this world prepares you for a moment like that and I believe that experience has shaped my mind and soul that one day I too will pass through the exact phase. In all Sapphire, I’m a very strong individual inside and when my mind is made up on things, only my Creator has the power to change it. At this point in my life, I enjoy talking with and spending time with older citizens, their stories can give you faith, hope, strength and inspiration. My sister ‘s sasuma was one from the Indian serials, but my sister told me that from her, she learnt the art of patience and would be always grateful. You know that we’re never given more than what we can bear, so there’s a lesson in all that we experience in life, however negative. Thank you for the kind words my friend.
Check for a comment on the other side. About the government thing, you are damn right, you contributed a lot so enjoy the fruits of your labour. Toddles…..
Naz I am always at a loss for words but at the same time I want you to know I am very sorry for the loss of your dear sister.Such a beautiful name ,Sasuma..I know it is not that easy to get over the loss of siblings with whom we share so many childhood memories.May God almighty gives you the strength to bear the loss We will discuss about our serial tomorrow.
Lol…noooo Lakshmi, my sister isn’t the one who passed away, her mother in law did…I hope I got it correctly..sasuma is Hindu for that relative, am I right? I got the sentiments though, thank you…I learnt that word from Jamai Raja….lol….BTW, I’m the eldest of two boys and two girls for my parents, my dad passed away when he was 56 yrs old, my mom is alive at 69yrs now,not too healthy but was fortunate last year to perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia all on her own, I guess when you are determined to do something, you will succeed huh…..I just checked to read new comments and I saw yours, I’m going to the funeral in a bit but wanted to reply to your good thoughts. We will discuss our serial tomorrow…keep smiling and hugs from this side…..
Naz I am extremely sorry for overlooking the apostrophe.English is such a tricky language that if you overlook even a small punctuation matk, the complete meaning changes..I know you are a strong willed person ,friend ,and be like that only.Whatever it is l should not
have made this blunder. My apologies once again.I will catch up with all of you after coming back from work.Take care
That’s ok Lakshmi…no offense taken, you are 100% correct, English is a very extremely tricky language ,maybe that’s why is universal. Every punctuation and context of use of words, makes a huge difference to the outcome of the sentence or question. I know your intention is good…no offense taken okkkkkkkk……….smile!!!! I am………
NAZ GIRL SASUMA MEANS MOTHER IN LAW FROM WHAT I GATHER AFTER READING SO MANY ZTV UPDATES RE THE SERIALS AND WATCHING ALL THOSE INDIAN MOVIES; GIRL I JUST LOVE TO WATCH MY INDIAN MOVIES; I EITHER PURCHASE THEM OR GO TO MOVIE TOWN AND TAKE THEM IN; GIRL WOULD YOU BELIEVE I DONT HAVE A CAR ANYMORE SO I LET MY DAUGHTER DROP ME OFF AT MOVIE TOWN TAKE IN A MOVIE ALL BY MYSELF AND SHE THEN PASSES BACK TO TAKE ME HOME. SOMETIME I GO WITH MY SISTER AND HER HUSBAND TOO. GIRL SINCE I RETIRE I HAVE LOTS OF TIME TO KNOCK ABOUT. A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I AM THE THIRD OUT OF EIGHT CHILDREN; I PREFER TO SAY MY MOM FEEL ASLEEP SEVEN YEARS NOW AND MY DAD FELL ASLEEP ONE YEAR NOW SO I CAN SURELY IDENTIFY WITH YOUR SISTER LOOSING HER MOTHER IN LAW.
Yes, I knew that from JR…..lol. you see…we do learn from these serials, I can tell you however, that I’ve learnt patience, because if I didn’t I could have changed a lot of televisions in my house. The serial Choti Bahu tamed that inherited trait of mine, every time I would see radikha shake her head in acquiesce, I used to feel like slapping her, and then she and Dev never consummated their marriage for two whole seasons, how frustrating is that? Girl.I love Indian movies, I grew up with it . Well ,if you don’t have company to watch movies, then nothing wrong with going alone, at least you can cry and no one will make fun of you. Some movies I watch at home and I do so alone because I cry buckets…especially the ones whose characters I can feel and sad romances give me headaches, even the novels I read, has the power to bring me cry..sometimes weep and I’m not joking. I have a great love for the Phantom of the opera novel so my daughter took me to the local theater production two years ago in Queens Hall and I cried for that ,even listening to the live band made me emotional…I’m a hopeless romantic, I tell you. L8rz……
Topaz you are right .Naina can neither be a memory lost Rani or Rani ‘s twin simply because the basic personality traits of Rani like dignity , elegance, intelligence and courage to come up in life on her own are not seen in Naina who is supposed to be bubbly and innocent .but I think she is not as innocent as she pretends to be.Infact it is very difficultto analyse this character, neither mature nor immature, naive or worldly. She can go to any extent to get what she wants and at any cost .I was really taken aback by the way she stood her ground when Raja was verbally abusing her when she went to him for money for her mother’s treatment.Another decent girl would have simply run away and tried other meansbut she did take the money and left We all know that Rani would never have begged like that.Infact how she fought with Raja when he was paying for her Dadu’s treatment.Unlike Rani Naina is very unpredictable in her moves ,God !how she tried to bring Raja and Layla nearer and finally when it happened ,the way she cried and left the house toget Raja back .She has all the tricks in her kitty. And imagine Raja falling for her so easily.Rani who knew him since childhood had to endure his misunderstandings humiliations, torture ,kidnapping and mistrust as well before he finally married her.He never made life easy for her.Once or twice I discussed with Naz that there is something lacking in his love for Rani. Now I can say that his problem with Rani was she was too perfect for him and he felt inferior to her .With Naina no such ego issues and so they are comfortable together. As if all that carrying her around is not enough he falls on Naina and the eye locking.Like Naz I felt like killing him..from the precap ,I couldmake out that we should be ready for the full on romance between the two from Monday onwards. Like all of you I will try to watch and laugh it off but can we really take it that easy?
My goodness…no wonder you are a lawyer. You pointed out angles I couldn’t see, your entire comment made me think differently. About Raja’s suspected inferiority ..I thought of that way back too, I really used to feel like Raja’s character was beneath Rani ‘s , knowing that she’s royalty status and as Sapphire puts it…jungle man son, she came across as being the dominant of the two and that didn’t sit comfortable with me, the playing field should have been level, no man wants to be beneath the status of an autocrat,it’s a psychological thing, it makes him feel lesser than her, sorry for making that observation but it’s the truth. At the moment, Raja is his own man now, he earned his wealth even though it was nefariously but he’s the boss!! Now I’d like to think I could try to differentiate between the two characters of Rani/Naina…..IF this is a master plan of the writers to see how passionate viewers are of Rani, then bravo to them… but if your astute mind just pointed them how to make their wrongs ,a right, then kudos to you. This is the only way I would accept from now, the romance between Raja and Naina. Maybe Naina is testing Raja in his love for “Rani “,even though he has learnt of her “death”….that could explain why Naina knows so many things about the past only Rani and Raja is privy too but she’s telling him Rani’s ghost told her, maybe she wants Raja to accept her as an ordinary girl a day not royalty because she has escaped from Iqbal and doesn’t know if he’s alive or not and prefers to lie low and play it safe, in soap land….anything is possible, even the dead is resurrected. I’ve been relating this thought recently in my comments , but didn’t quite put it into perspective like this. I echo your last two lines…can we? I’ll try now to have an open mind on this romance and see how it progresses from here. Writers know they can’t kill Rani and just push Raja to love another so they have been playing mind games with us…….big time.
Typo error…between “ordinary girl”and “not royalty “..should read…..”and not” ..
