No – one has time to watch your dumb serials. Even if they were good (which they are anything but), wasting hundreds of hours to watch thousands of episodes will be detrimental to anyone’s life. Indian TV must stop milking stories till they become rubbish and start producing pre – written series. And ban disturbing and socially detrimental plots such as 2 women running after the same man, with one of them being a pure good Cinderella and the other a vicious b**ch who for some reason was never taught basic human values, such as life is the most important thing and you should never try to take it away if your own survival is not at stake. The fact that they are sisters or best friends who grew up together, makes it 10 times worse. The so called ‘male leads’ are also toxic, stupid, mama – boys and somehow do not understand their own feelings. The female leads are dressed in rags that make them look old and conceal their beauty, because apparently showing skin speaks of a bad character and lack of values – which is very well displayed by the modern beautifully decorated villainesses. In Ekta’s world you may treat your lady like 💩 as much as you want – just put your life at risk once to save her and you automatically become a hero worth fighting for (for the heroine fighting includes submitting herself to her ‘family’ who actually want her dead and occasionally faking strength when dealing with outside villains she is not related to), no matter if you continue to behave like 💩 You can also marry another woman or 2 while still being with your ‘wife’ but she can’t marry anyone else because you are the world to her. Also when the guy gets married again, no – one speaks of a divorce from the OG ‘wife’ or acknowledges the illegality of the second marriage but when the love triangle is finally resolved after 1000 years, he needs to ‘divorce’ the second wife, even though they were never married for real to begin with. In Ekta’s world putting red powder on a girl’s head means marriage, and she somewhat us considered his legal wife even if there wasn’t any official registration. You are now a couple even if you want to suffocate each other. This continues to apply even when the guy legally marries another woman. When the couple eventually fall in love (which honestly hurts them even more than when they hated each other), they get separated, back together and separated again, with a daughter who, like her mother, is never destined to see happiness. Logic and countless opportunities to destroy evil are disregarded and wasted so the torture can continue bringing money as long as possible. And finally when everything else flops, the leads die and their children and / or reincarnations are doomed to continue the vicious cycle
The cherry on the top is the female antagonist (might as well be the sister – in – law lusting after the guy ( also can be her brother – in – law) and drugging him to sleep with her lol
And he doesn’t even remember whether they did something or not
Bravo…..that pretty much sums it up. And yet this crap continues to be eaten up and watched which is why we have trash like Parineeti, all the Kumkums and whats not still on the TV. Think they have all lost their minds. What utter drivel.
Yes… At least Udaariyaan, which seems to be inspired by Ekta’s writing is so bad it’s good… But Parineeti… I don’t know how this crap was approved at all! I remember 2 years or so ago when another series, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, which was based on the concept of extramarital affairs was bashed and boycotted for the same. Ironically now people are praising it because Mouli never went back to her cheater husband and actually moved on. And even more ironically, people now watch Parineeti which is basically the same idea but 10 times worse, with not nearly as active hate. I feel bad for Aanchal Sahu, after pulling off such awesome characters like Vashma and Bondita, she is now stuck in the Ekta hell. I thought Indian TV no longer produce such dumb sacrificial pure leads as Sadhna from Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai but apparently since lockdown they have started doing it again. I have spared myself from watching the horror Parineeti but from what I know I can deduce Parineet is just as bad and is also one of the dumbest characters ever created. And probably poor kid can’t back out because Ekta will ruin her future, like she did with Sriti Jha and Naina Singh. Now Nehmat from Udaariyaan too, has been turned into a sacrificial lamb. Usually in Indian serials the next generation is better than their parents but Nehmat has spoiled the name of her mother, Tejo, who started as a great heroine with attitude and strong spirit, but was ultimately ruined, sacrificing everything for her evil sister Jasmine. Even before she was blackmailed by her evil aunt, Nehmat wanted to sacrifice Ekam – for the sake of a cousin she barely knew! And now instead of telling everyone how Jasmine threatened Ekam’s life, she is sitting in the corner and crying
