Swara was sitting in her office lost in her thoughts when her colleges came, they were amused to see Swara idly just ticking in the audit without even looking at what she was doing. This was new to them, as Swara was the most sincere person when it comes to work, ya she did lots of masti but when it came to work it was only work. Today they were really shocked to see her like that. Here Swara was lost in her thoughts remembering how she met Lakesh and Maheshwaris for first time
FLASHBACK…..
It seems like yesterday when her 12th board exams were completed. A new house construction was started two lanes away from her house. Though she belonged to upper middle class family this new house was really large constructed by demolishing nearly 3 old houses. One day when Swara and Ragini were passing by on their bicycles they saw a beautiful lady standing there and instructing the workers she was really attracted to that lady. Ragini asked her to come fast as their favorite show was about to begin but Swara didn’t pay any heed. After some time Ragini left her. But Swara kept admiring that lady and that house, but when the watchman came and asked her she just ran away. The next day Ragini went to her Kerala with her parents and only Swara was left. She was just roaming on streets in the evening when suddenly she found a man had fallen on street and had been pierced by a broken glass, she immediately went to that man and even after her protest brought him to her home. On reaching she did not allow the man even to speak and started to tend his wounds scolding him that he should have looked while walking and cursing the people who carelessly throw bottles on the road.
After sometimes her parents came back from their office and were shocked to find a stranger at their place, when her mom asked her who this person was that time Swara thought that she had even not asked his name. Seeing Swara’s dilemma the person answered,” Hi.. I am RAM PRASAD MAHESHWARI your would be neighbor” Swara’s parents Shekar Sharma and Shermista Shrama were shocked. But they were quickly put to ease by Ram Prasad Maheshwari and this marked the beginning of their long standing friendship or rather renewal as it was revealed that Ram and Shekar were classmates till 10th in Jaipur Public School.
Soon the family become one, more thick then relatives. Ram Prasad Maheshwari became Bade papa and his wife Sujata became badi maa for Swara. Their son Adarash was her Adarash bhai who she was closer than her brother Arayan, due to happy go lucky nature of Adarash. For any new person she seemed like a Maheshwari family member more than a Sharma It was Ram Prasad only who advised her take CA when her own parents and she herself had doubt. And it was Adarash who prepared her for entrance exams. But the person whom she was most attached was her badi maa who was her friend her mentor… and what not, Swara would never say no to her whatever it may be and Sujata loved her back same.
One day when she came to Maheshwari House she was surprised to find the preparations going on there. She asked her badi maa what was going on, for that she replied that her younger son Lakesh Maheshwari who was studying in Cambridge University was returning after 2 days completing his studies and they are throwing a party.
Swara had never seen any recent photograph of this person as his room was always closed and she was too busy in her studies to bother.
The next day she went to Ragini’s house for combined studies ( she had pursued Ragini also to takeup CA with her) but found that she went to Delhi to her uncle’s place that too without informing her…… she was really pissed .
In fit of anger she decided to go to her badi maa to cool herself. As soon as she entered the house she slammed into a rock hard chest and fell down. The person was carrying a espresso which fell on both of them. The person just shouted” can’t you just see where you are going…. are you blind. You just ruined my best shirt you maid.” Swara was shocked and angry beyond limits her already pissed mood just escalated. She was looking at him with her mouth open. The person just shut her mouth and said arrogantly “I know I am handsome but if you keep staring me with your mouth open your jaws will start paining”
This bought Swara out of her trance and she shouted back s“I hope you too have eyes mister and they are functioning well. You should also see beyond your arrogant attitude that was you are going. And if you can actually see my dress is also ruined and it’s my favorite too by your black poison. And I am not a maid here…. Well who the hell are you… and are you doing in Maheshwari house.
Just then they heard a combined laughter. When they looked back they saw all the elders and Adarash laughing uncontrollably…. Swara could not understand anything. Then in between laughter Ram Prasad managed to say that Sawra met my younger son Lakesh Maheshwari and Lucky this is our Swara. Both were embarrassed beyond limit. Adarash in between laughter just managed to say that it’s for first time I saw Lakesh is at loss of words and Swara so embarrassed in any situation.
