FLASHBACK CONTINUED…..
Lakesh was very busy from the morning it seems like entire country was present for his brother engagement; his brother wanted just a small cozy function, but his father…… That was really different case, Ram Prasad Maheshwari never did anything mediocre….. It was always grand very grand…..
He literally did not get any time to breath. In normal course it was his brother, who looked after such functions, and he was in a jolly and teasing mood but today the roles were reversed, and he was really felling a pinch of it. There were lots of his relatives who were gossiping that Maheshwari’s were making alliance far below their status, but in his heart he knew that his brother loved his would be bhabi ( sister-in-law) a lot and she was also a gem of a person in mid of many decorated stones, she was really priceless. By this thought his mind shifted to another pair of deep chocolate brown eyes that were very angry on him yesterday, very shocked when he asked for kiss……
Well he mentally slapped himself for his train of thoughts and decided to concentrate on the work he has to finish. As he was trying to move somebody again collided with him. It was now a routine from morning, many girls just jammed into him to get his attention….. And he just gave them a fake smile….. Whoa! His shoulder was now paining….. Seriously these girls don’t have any other work he thought. He once used to enjoy all this attention given by girls but today it was just irritating him, but somewhere deep in his heart he was comparing every girl with his Swapy and each one was found lacking in one way or other…..
Like this the time went by and it was time for engagement. The bride’s family came to their home, Parineeta was looking divine in her light peach sari and Adresh was also looking handsome in his maroon sherwani. When all the eyes were on Adresh and Parineeta a pair of eyes was only looking for a set of dark chocolate brown eyes. He did not want to miss her in this flood of people. His mind was warning him be quit and not be showing this much eagerness, but his heart was in no mood to listen.
Just then he heard a group of boys talking about a girl
Man1: Wow man what a girl, have you seen her curves…..
Man2: Yes man they were killers. It seems that the bride’s family is filled with such bombs….
Man 3: I just wish to touch her s*xy back once, and then even if I die I don’t care…
Man 1: Even Kareena and Katrina fails before her beauty….
Man 2 : I will try and dance with her tonight, maybe she will agree to be my girlfriend….
Lakesh just laughed at the general boys talk, but was curious to know about the girl who held the attention of nearly every second man at the function. When he looked at the object of their admiration, he saw she was wearing a very bold blue lehanga. It was an open back blue lehanga, and the woman was indeed looking beautiful in the dress and her pinned up hair.
But as soon as the girl decides to turn and Lakesh saw her face, the smile was replaced by a shock. It felt like his jaws were touching the floor like the silly cartoons Swara watched. He could not believe the girl was Swara….. Or rather the woman….. She was looking like a perfect fairy, directly from a man’s fantasy….
Now the those general talk of people were not general any more, it rather felt like hot oil being poured into his ears. He didn’t knew what he was feeling, or what he was feeling……… this was all new to him. But he knew one thing that no one can talk like this about his Swara. And how dare Swara dress up like this and come to party didn’t he knew the peoples mind set….. But he could not do anything at the movement as his hands were tied, so he decided to talk to her once the main function of engagement gets over.
On the other hand Swara too was not comfortable with the peoples gaze on her, but what left her shock was Lakesh’s behavior, he was angry like a wounded lion. If looks could have killed even her ashes would have been not left till now. Even her badi ma Sujata was angry on her which was piercing her like a nail. But she decided to ignore him and concentrate on her sister’s engagement.
