So here’s the big day… Kanchi’s wedding… and they are putting their best act. (Quick note for majority of the chapter Sanchi is speaking in a slow sad tone)
Sanchi comes down in her red and golden bridal suit. While Kabir is wearing a golden sherwani. Both sit down and when it’s time for kanyadaan then Bebeji and Dadaji do it for Sanchi. The girls won the shoe stealing ritual and got Rs. 1000 each… RECEPTION TIME. The girls were taking 10 million selfies and Sanchi was putting up a good act but on the inside she was shattered.
Sanchi was wearing a golden lehenga and Kabir was wearing a black tuxedo with a red tie. Sanchi and Kabir are sitting on their thrones…
Kabir: I guess we are life partners now
Sanchi was just sitting there like a corpse…
Kabir: Listen…
Sanchi: I really don’t want to talk right now…
Kabir: But…
Sanchi: Please…
Tears ran down her cheeks… she quickly wiped her cheeks and put a smile on her face…
Kabir: “She really is a brave girl.”
Isha: I would like to request for our newlyweds to come and dance.
Kabir stands up and extends his hand… Sanchi holds his hand and they walk down the stairs and onto the stage.
Background Music: Tere Sang Yaara
Kabir is romantically looking at Sanchi while Sanchi is sadly lost in her world.
Kabir(whispering): I’m
Sanchi(whispering): Just let me die in my sadness
Kabir(whispering): Don’t ever say that!!
Sanchi(whispering): You care because
Kabir(whispering): I’ll explain later…
Soon it was time for the bidaai… Sanchi didn’t shed one tear… she hugged all her friends and her “relatives” and walked away like a living corpse,
In the car…
Sanchi: Can I have my explanation??
Kabir: Not yet
Sanchi(sad sarcastic tone): When did you become the girly one??
Kabir: I promise I will explain…
Sanchi: Don’t make a promise that you can’t fulfill
Kabir looks at her while she puts her head down and looks out the window.
They reached the Kapoor Mansion…
(Quick Note: I think I should describe Kapoor Mansion for this ff. Typical indian serial mansion… when you enter there is a giant staircase going up and then dividing left and right… rooms on the bottom and top. Large golden colored couches and and a glass table. A medium sized dining table and when going down the hall from the dining table then the mandir. Everything outside the rooms is golden and white but every room has a different color scheme.)
Kusum welcomes Kanchi and Kabir’s family was there too. His aunts uncles cousins etc..
Kusum: Lightly kick this kalash of rice and step into the vermillion water and walk straight ahead
Sanchi does what she was told… and walks in. The couple sits down at the couches. Malti brings in a big bowl type thingy filled with milk and rose petals.
Kusum: Kabir I know you don’t believe this but please… I am going to drop this ring in and then you will find this…
She drops the ring and both start looking for it… Kabir finds it and hands it to Kusum…
Kusum: Malti tum yeh dood roses mein dooldo
Malti: Thik hai maa-ji
She takes the milk bowl…
Kusum: Girls please take Sanchi to her room. Kabir I need to talk to you.
The girls take Sanchi to Kabir’s room. It was decorated with roses and the bed had a heart shape.
Sanchi: Mera samaan
Shruti(cousin): Woh hai
She points near the closet…
Kriti(cousin): For now you should sit on the bed and wait for your husband
Nancy(older cousin): Don’t make too much noise
She winks at Sanchi and they all leave.
Sanchi slowly heads towards the window and she starts looking at the full moon and pretty stars…
A few minutes later…
Kabir comes in and locks the door. He sees Sanchi looking at the window… he walks up to her…
Sanchi: Nice view
Kabir: Sometimes I myself get lost in this moon
Sanchi: So how about that explanation
Kabir: Right… I would like to be very honest with you right now… I don’t like you at all,
Sanchi slightly sarcastically laughs
Kabir: As a colleague but now that you are my jeevan saathi, I don’t think I would want you to die. You are the only one who has ever stood up to me. You are nice but annoying. I know that you won’t forgive me that easily for this but I hope this relationship can somewhat work out…
Sanchi looks at Kabir and walks towards the vanity.
Sanchi: Can you remove this pallu(is that what it’s called??) It might be easier to get off if someone else removes it
Kabir: Sure
He helps Sanchi remove her pins
Kabir: Does it hurt??
Sanchi: Not really
He removes the remaining pins and Sanchi’s pallu falls. Sanchi gets up but minorly collides with Kabir. She heads to her suitcase and when she bends…
Kabir: Sss. Did you apply your ointment??
Sanchi: Yes, I think you should go shower first so that I have time to remove my jewelry and makeup
Kabir: Yaa,
He grabs his clothes and heads to the bathroom. Sanchi slowly removes her jewelry except her bangles. She couldn’t remove her necklace because the string was too short
Sanchi: I guess I can just ask Kabir to help…
She grabs a makeup remover wipe and removes all her makeup. Just then Kabir opened the door
Kabir: Sanchi… I forgot to grab my towel. Could you give me it??
Sanchi: Where is it??
Kabir: Right side when you enter the closet
She gives him the towel. About 10 minutes later Kabir comes out. Sanchi walks up to him.
Sanchi: Can you please remove this necklace?? I can’t reach it…
Kabir quickly helps her and goes to the vanity. Sanchi goes to shower as well. She quickly takes a shower and then comes out maybe 40ish minutes later. She sees Kabir laying on the couch.
Sanchi: “This is wrong. I said to myself that I will be nice if he is nice back and he has been very nice. He shouldn’t sleep on the couch. Lemme wake him.”
She taps his shoulder…
Sanchi: Kabir… Kabir…
A water droplet from Sanchi’s hair falls onto his eyelid.
Kabir: What happened Sanchi?? Ab kya sach mein sona nahi hai??
Sanchi: Sleep on the bed
Kabir: No you sleep on the bed
Sanchi goes and gets a blanket and pillow and “sleeps” on the chair. Kabir notices her…
Kabir: “She’s kidding right.”
He carries her bridal style…
Sanchi: What are you doing??
Kabir: …
He puts her on the bed and they share a deep eyelock… few seconds later Sanchi gets up and breaths heavily…
Kabir: Are you okay??
Sanchi: Ya, but…
Kabir: I got the message
Sanchi lays down facing her back to Kabir’s side and Kabir lays down on the bed.
Kabir: Good Night
Sanchi: …… Night
The Next Morning…
Sanchi gets up early around 5:45. She quickly goes and takes a shower, she decides to wear a red slim silky sari with golden lining, sticking with the bridal vibes.
She goes and does her long pooja. Then she heads to the kitchen. Sanchi already did the stove pooja (idk if that’s right). She ties her hair back and tucks in pallu and starts cooking away.
Back in Kanchi’s Room…
Kabir wakes up and doesn’t see Sanchi. He heads down,
Kabir: Malti didi Sanchi kahan hai
Malti: Kitchen mein… bohot saara khana bana hai aaj
Kabir: Thank you!!
He was about to head back to his room when…
Kusum: Gollu beta
Kabir stops and turns around…
Kabir: Yes??
Kusum: You are not going to work today!! No arguing!! I already talked to Dr. Malhotra and he also agrees with me.
Kabir: But Maa
Kusum: I’ll walk you to your room
Kabir: Maa I’m going to work
Kusum: No you are not!!
They reach Kanchi’s room…
Kusum: I know that this marriage is just an act but you should at least try to get to know Sanchi. At least try to help her adjust here. This maybe an act but you two are married and should put a little effort in this marriage. She’s obviously putting some effort in. As far as your work you can go tomorrow, Sanchi is also going tomorrow.
Kusum leaves, Kabir goes to take a shower and a few minutes later Sanchi comes in and starts applying her makeup and fixes her hair. She puts on some music…
Music: Veer Zaara Background Score (it’s from YouTube and instrumental)
Sanchi hums to some voice parts while Kabir comes out…
Sanchi continues humming and gets up and starts walking around and humming in her happy world. She removes the bedsheets and puts them in the laundry and leaves the room. Kabir heads to the vanity…
Kabir: What was that?? I haven’t seen her smile and feel happy since the marriage rituals started… it felt kinda nice.
Downstairs…
Sanchi gives everyone prasad and then starts bringing out the food she prepared.
Tayaji 1: Wow Aloo ke parathe, Gobi ke parathe, Ajwain ke parathe, dahi, and achar
Tayaji 2: Fruit Salad and Smoothies
Chachu: And kheer!!
Tayi ji 1: Itna sara khana
Tayi ji 2: When did you start
Sanchi: I started at 6:30
Kusum: Khane ki khushboo se toh pind ki yaad aati hai
Chachi: Let’s see if this is actually as good
Just then Kabir comes downstairs…
Tayaji 2: Kahan se iss hera ko dhoonda
Sanchi blushed…
Kabir: The hospital…
They all laughed and Kabir sat down…
Kabir: Is this…
Sanchi: Less oily yes
Chachi: And sugar free for your chacha
Sanchi: Yes!! Special kheer for a special chachu
Sanchi starts serving everyone and everyone thanks here…
Sanchi sits down…
Tayaji 1&2 and Chachu take their first bites…
Tayaji 1: Ajwain ke parathe with homemade dahi…
Tayaji 2: This fruit salad is umm
Chachu: The kheer is…
All: FANTASTIC
Sanchi (blushed): Thank you!!
Tayiji 1: Other judgment later, let’s enjoy this amazing food
Tayiji 2: Agreed please pass the parathe
Sanchi: Which??
Chachi: Gobi !!
Sanchi: “I wish I could go back to my family. And enjoy my time with them.”
Everyone finishes their breakfast and head to the couches while Sanchi helps Malti clean up.
She then went and sat down next to Kusum but then Kriti came and made Sanchi sit next to Kabir…
Kriti: Aapki jagha yahan hai
She went and high-fived her brother…
Tayaji 1: That was the best breakfast I had in a long time
Tayiji 1: And my breakfast
Tayaji 1: Umm well, anyway… here Sanchi
Sanchi: Arre nahi nahi
Tayaji 1: Rakh lo beta ye shagun hota hai
Then all the others handed her Rs.2000 each!!!
Sanchi: Iski kya zaroorat hai!!
All: Rakh lo
Sanchi got up and headed to her room to put the money.
Chachu: Kabir, Mr. Workaholic
Kabir: Yes chachu
Chachu: What’s your plan for honeymoon
Kabir: Work before personal life
His cousins all looked at each other…
Tayiji 2: Such a good wife and not even a honeymoon
Tayaji 2 slowly claps…
Sanchi comes back down and they all drop that topic…
Tayaji 1: Sanchi beta tumhara parivaar
Sanchi: Woh umm
Tayiji 1: Kabir was telling us that your Bebeji and Dadaji aren’t your own, relationship by heart
Sanchi: Actually I had … some problems with my mom… my dad passed away when I was 10. And I decided to leave. And right now we don’t know any information about each other.
Chachi: And your mom
Sanchi: I secretly send some money to her and have named some properties on her. Like my house…
Chachi: But won’t she know it’s you!!
Sanchi: No actually Dr. Malhotra was my dad’s childhood friend and Mrs. Malhotra is my mom’s friend so I tell them to take their name.
Tayaji: Oh!! Wish we could meet them
Sanchi: I wish I could go back… but I have my friends who I’ve known since high school and we all work at SD!! The best part is we annoy Dr. Kapoor!!
Kriti: Huh??
Sanchi: We all play music in the cafeteria and play in the rain and get loud in my office!! He gets really mad!!
Kabir: Ya then whenever we are working together then you faint or hurt yourself.
Sanchi: Only because you are annoying and rude!! You know I had to share his office for a month!! It was the worst thing!!
Kabir: You should be glad that I let them do that!!
Sanchi: Oh please, you haven’t done a favor!!
Sanit: Totally posting on insta and snapchat
Kriti: Think about the views
Then Sanchi and Kabir glared at them…
Sanit: They are made for each other.

And you guys have been wondering what Riya has been doing. So you guys probably know who did the media ruckus…
So when the wedding rituals were happening Riya did her best to hurt Sanchi. She mixed some type if itching powder in her mehndi and haldi but Pragya, Isha, and Meera smelled the powder and fixed it. She tried dropping ghee on the stairs from where Sanchi was coming down but Sushant got that cleaned up!!! Riya was furious and is planning to…
