A historical drama Chandra Nandni will be soon airing on Star Plus. The show will bring the tale of the Indian emperor Chandragupta Maurya. Chandragupta was one of the greatest conquerors of India. The story of the legendary figure and his love Nandini will be shown. Chandragupta and Nandini were very much different. The show will showcase their aggression, obsession, love and revenge virtues to the core.
Ekta Kapoor’s historical show stars Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu. It will replace the mythological show Siya Ke Ram. This will be comeback show for Shweta Basu, who is most famous for Shruti’s character in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. Rajat was last seen in Colors’ Naagin in a cameo role. He has also done historical shows Dharti Ka Veer Yodha – Prithviraj Chauhan and Jodha Akbar, which aired on Star Plus and Zee tv respectively. Rajat has given successful shows. His chemistry with Paridhi Sharma was much appreciated. Rajat portrayed Akbar’s role brilliantly. His next stint as Chandragupta looks more appealing by the promos. Shweta also looks stunning in the introduction promo of her character Nandini. Rajat has a huge fan following. Rajat and Shweta’s chemistry is expected to be equally sizzling. The show will start in October 2016. Are you excited to watch Rajat in Chandra Nandni? Let us know your opinion in this poll.

yes , i am eagerly waiting for it but it should not replace skr . it would be nice if it replaces hthghppk
Me too
CAN’T THEY COULD GET ANOTHER ACTOR TO PLAY CHANDRGUPT THE GREAT .COME ON CTHE GREAT EMPEROR WAS NOT OF SHORT HEIGHT AND FUNKY LOOKS ,CHANDRGUPT NEEDS TO BE TALL ,HANDSOME AND OF STERN LOOKS
Yeah you’re right about this rajat look great as Akbar cause Akbar we could imagine in him but for Chandragupta we need some one tall well toned body and aggressive look like ashish
I agree with kushagra, I think the emperor should have been the guy who played raja in ek raja and ek rani before the leap
YEAH NICE SUGGESTION BUT EVEN ASHISH SHARAMA WHO PLAYED CHANDRGUPT BEFORE ON IMAGINE WILL ALSO BE GOOD
Not at all interested since long
Not interested ‘because we only want parijat ‘but now that item girl shweta ‘no way
No way an ekta show that’s enough to piss me of
Chandra nandhini so will she be making chandragupt mauryya a King instead of chanayka
Ektas definition of woman empowerment indeed.
@ tellyupdates it’s not replacing skr get the facts right
Chandranandhini is premiering from sept 30 while skr has been confirmed to go on till October end by anirudh Pathak sir. Sp should have logic skr is in top 10 in trps and it reached top 5 last week without promoting. And the 8:30 pm is cursed slot for sp since mahabharat end so they can try their ekta Magic there
The way skr is going we are assured this will not be replacing it.
@ kushagra and K completely agree ashish was great as chandragupt and now as ram
I think its high time dt rajat should try some diffrent and challenging roles other than mytho roles otherwise he wil end up doing mytho roles only and no 1 will invest on him
Rajat always excels in historical dramas.. be it pritviraj chauhan or jodha akbar… he has always excelled in his acting…
So waiting for rajat as chandragupta maurya……
I don’t understand why ekta is hell bent on destroying history , I mean who is dis nandini I have never read any nandini in Chandragupta’s life only girl in his life was dhurdara and she died due to poisoning.arey year if u don’t know history go and study then u make serial na pehle maughal aur rajputs ka hogaya an Gupta’s ka…I don’t have any prob with her other serial’s but these are historical dramas she should at least be considerate of thembcoz along with mothers even children vl sit and watch and being a responsible citizen can’t she show something real than her own imaginations
so cn is not replacing skr , that is great. waiting to watch this show
I’m excited to watch. They look cute together. But I agree they could have picked a tall person for the role. When I saw the picture of him in ashok… he wasn’t built, but skinny. Mohit should have played this role instead of ashok.
