The renowned television series ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ airing on Sony Sab has recently found itself amidst a series of controversies. Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who had departed from the show, has come forward with grave accusations against producer Asit Modi, executive producer Jatin Bajaj, and operations head Suhail Ramani. Among the allegations, Jennifer has accused Asit Modi of engaging in inappropriate conduct of a s*xual nature. Following the allegations, the producer and his team have chosen to maintain silence, refraining from further comments beyond an initial statement.
In a recent turn of events, an First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against Asit Modi, Suhail Ramani, and Jatin Bajaj based on the complaints filed by Jennifer. The FIR has been registered under sections 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The Mumbai police have confirmed that no arrests have been made thus far, and an ongoing investigation is underway. The question of whether Asit Modi will be summoned by the police to provide his statement remains uncertain. Jennifer expressed her relief at the registration of the case, emphasizing the persistence she displayed in pursuing justice.
During an interview, Jennifer divulged that Asit Modi was utilizing the allegations as a means to delay and manipulate the truth. She firmly asserted her possession of evidence to substantiate her claims and vowed to present it in the court of law.
Efforts to obtain comments from Jatin Bajaj and Suhail Ramani proved to be unsuccessful.
