Anila Kharbanda, previously known for styling actors on the set of Kumkum Bhagya back in 2015, has now transitioned from behind the scenes to the forefront of the show. Recently seen in Kundali Milan, Kharbanda is set to make her presence felt once again, this time as a part of the enduring series Kumkum Bhagya. The actress expresses immense excitement and gratitude for this opportunity, acknowledging the show’s status as one of the longest-running and beloved dramas.
Elaborating on her newfound role, Kharbanda shares, “I’ve just begun shooting three days ago. My character, Rajjo, is set to make an entrance in today’s episode, and I’m eager to witness the audience’s reaction. As of now, my track spans six months, with the possibility of an extension thereafter as per the makers’ plans.”
For Kharbanda, the journey to acting has been a significant shift from her previous career as a costume stylist, notably styling the leads of Kumkum Bhagya in 2015. Reflecting on this transformation, she remarks, “Before venturing into acting in 2019, I worked as a costume stylist since 2013. Back in 2015, I had the opportunity to style Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia, who were the leads on Kumkum Bhagya. Now, being cast as an actor in the same show feels like life has come full circle for me.”
Having also worked as an assistant director, Kharbanda had contemplated transitioning into acting when people suggested she was well-suited for certain roles. Initially hesitant, she eventually built the confidence to embark on this new path. Recounting her decision, she states, “Initially, while working behind the scenes, I received suggestions regarding potential roles, but I wasn’t initially confident. Over time, I gained the courage to pursue acting. I’m someone who follows the flow, and I’m content with where that decision has brought me today.”
As Anila Kharbanda begins this new chapter in her career, her journey from the backstage to the limelight in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ marks a significant milestone, showcasing her versatile talents in the world of television.
