Epi begins with Ganga saying no to Sagar. Agreed that I haven’t seen such a toy in my life but I don’t want it. Sagar is confused. She says I am alone, I have no one so you are showing pity on me. I don’t want anyone’s pity. Take your toy. Sagar remarks that everyone is right that you are stubborn. Plus Dadi is right, whatever happened with you was right. No one is at fault. It is all because of your karmas. She leaves from there hurt. He shouts after her to go. I wont play with you now even if you come to me. I wont even talk to you.
Ganga comes downstairs and meets Maharaj ji. He is concerned seeing her sad face. He gives her sugar to give to Amma ji. Don’t go inside the room.
Amma ji prays as she readies her bed. She notices Ganga standing at the door. Amma ji is having
Ganga asks Maharaj ji why Dadi cooks her food separately. Maharaj ji explains that a widow cannot eat the food cooked in someone else’s kitchen. Another peppy song plays and Ganga gets happy. she asks Maharaj ji if Dadi doesn’t like music. He asks her if she likes such weird songs. She nods. Everyone in my village sings songs when Sawan comes. He knows about it too. They are called Kajri but these obscene songs are nothing in comparison to Kajri. He resumes his work while she sits down in a corner.
She remembers how her Bappa used to push her on swings that they used to make in Sawan specially. She sings a song, O Amma Mere Baba ko Bhejo ji. Maharaj ji and Madhvi hear her in surprise while Amma ji closes her ears so she can concentrate in her puja. Maharaj ji and Madhvi are touched by her words.
Next morning, Amma ji returns after taking Ganga snan. She gives puja thaal to Ganga after confirming it that Ganga has taken a bath. Sagar rushes to greet his Dadi, and asks for Prasad. Ganga gives it to him but he is angry with her so declines. I will take from my Dadi only. Amma ji is more than happy to do so. Sagar looks angrily in Ganga’s direction before heading back to his room. Amma ji sends her to give Prasad to Niranjan and Madhvi.
Pulkit finds his socks in Sagar’s cupboard once again. he notices the same toy train there as well and asks Sagar about it. Why did you bring it back? Didn’t you feel like giving it to her in the end? Sagar denies. She refused to take it. She is very stubborn. Why do I care if she doesn’t want it? He keeps it back in his cupboard. Pulkit smiles thinking that atleast there is someone in this house now who can do what he (she) wishes to.
Madhvi is tidying the bed. Niranjan can see that she wants to say something and tells her to go ahead. I can notice other things too except my work. She talks to him about Ganga. She is a very simple and lovely girl. Ganga is outside the door and watches / hears them from a distance. Madhvi continues, the longer she stays here, the more she will grow fond of everyone. She was singing in a very melodious voice yesterday. I was so touched. Sagar talks about her all the time. Niranjan finds it good but she says, Ganga is someone else’s kid. Is it easy to raise a girl? it is such a big responsibility. She is young but she will eventually grow up. Times are not so good. What will we do if something wrong happens with her? Prabha Bhabhi was also talking about it. I too like Ganga but we cannot overlook the facts. I agree that Prabha Bhabhi exaggerates things a bit but even Amma ji not happy with Ganga staying here. She is worried day and night that there is no obstacle in her dharma, her puja. they are not wrong in what they are saying regarding Ganga. We will have to make some or other arrangement for Ganga one day. You only will have to see where she goes and what she does. Amma ji has clearly told me to send Ganga away asap. Niranjan says I have already spoken to Raghav ji about it. we will find a way out. Amma ji also doesn’t mind it till the time Sagar is happy. He packs his stuff as he has to reach court. Ganga leaves from there quietly.
Ganga comes to Sagar and Pulkit’s room. Sagar asks Pulkit to sharpen his pencil but Pulkit is getting late. He notices Ganga. Did you both have a fight? He leaves for school. Ganga thinks of Niranjan’s words. She offers to sharpen Sagar’s pencil for him but he continues trying on his own. She begins to pack his school bag but he tells her not to touch his stuff. Go away. she notices his cricket kit in a corner and gets an idea. How many runs have you scored in a cricket match? Did you ever score a 100? He denies. she says we will play once you return from school. You can make 100 runs then. He invites her to his school in the recess time. Meet me outside the school. He makes a route sketch for her so she can reach there. He also gives her some money so she can reach the school. He tells her to reach there sharp at noon. Don’t tell this to anyone as it is a secret between the two of us. Ganga asks is if he is still angry with her. he shakes his head and then leaves for school. She says Amma ji wont send me out of this house ever if you are happy. I will stay here only.
Niranjan moves around the room making his file ready while Madhvi runs behind him to make him eat something. He finds Ganga running to somewhere, stops her and asks her if she had breakfast. She shakes her head. niranjan immediately calls out for Maharaj ji and tells him to take care of Ganga. She is a kid and has not eaten anything since morning. Niranjan asks her if she wants anything from the market. She again shakes her head which brings a smile on his face. You are very intelligent. Listen to what the elders of the house say to you and don’t let Amma ji get upset with you. She nods. She leaves with Maharaj ji afterwards. Madhvi gives juice to Niranjan.
Maharaj ji mutters to Ganga. Bhaiya ji scolded me in the morning because of you. You could have asked me to give you food. They enter kitchen just when the maid is taking out the locket from the flour (she had hidden it there). She nervously runs out of there. Maharaj ji goes to bring breakfast for Ganga. She sits in a corner as per his instructions.
Ganga runs inside Sagar’s room after making sure no one is around to notice her. she tears the page in which he had made the route map for her. She realises that it is written in English. She concentrates a little and then recalls his school’s name (Lawrence School). Next she picks up his cricket kit and heads downstairs. She hides away from Maharaj ji and Madhvi who are working in the kitchen. She finds the main door locked when she finally reaches there. She smartly throws the cricket kit to another corner so no one questions her. She casually begins to walk towards it when Amma ji comes there. Ganga hides. Amma ji reminds Maharaj ji to make kheer for Sagar. Amma ji sits in the courtyard itself. Ganga is worried as she looks at the wall clock. Sagar told me not to tell it to anyone that I am coming to his school. How can I go now when Amma ji is sitting here only?
Precap: Amma ji warns Ganga not to go anywhere. I spoke to you nicely for 2 days but it doesn’t mean you will do what you like. Don’t even dare to step out of the house. Ganga runs to the terrace to find a way out of the house. Sagar is waiting for Ganga at school. I will complain to Dadi as you lied to me! She will scold you nicely then.
