Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin: Harshad Arora talks about the massive fire that broke out on the sets
Harshad Arora who recently joined the cast of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as Dr. Satya Adhikari is already creating buzz for his on-screen chemistry with Sai aka Ayesha Singh. During a recent interview with ETimes TV, Harshad spoke about why he chose this role and more.
He said, “It’s amazing because Ghum has been amongst the top shows across the channels for a long time now. The moment I was offered the show, I was very excited and the character was very interesting. My role is of an unconventional doctor who’s not a regular kind of a person. He’s very edgy and offbeat these things attracted me to the character. Once I was convinced I immediately said yes.”
Talking about his initial days on the sets, he said, “The first few days have been very hectic because there are many last-minute changes. And due to the circumstances, we had to adjust accordingly. When you try to play a character it takes a little bit of time to get into the real zone of the character and once you get a hang of it, everything becomes smooth.”
Talking about the massive fire that broke out on the sets, Harshad said, “The fire incident happened two days before my entry sequence and it was very unfortunate and I was shocked when I heard the news. I honestly didn’t know the future of the show but hats off to the makers and the broadcasters, they were confident that the show has to go on because it is loved by people. They figured out locations, costumes, and everything overnight. It is not easy to plan everything overnight but they did. Thankfully there was no loss of life on set. It was the best part, there was a unit of 150 people working but fortunately, nobody was harmed. These kinds of things happen once in a lifetime and unfortunately, it was Ghum’s set that caught fire. But I would really appreciate the channel and production house efforts that they have been able to pull it off and just from the next day they started shooting. These things caused a little bit of delay in my entry.”
He added, “I have not seen people discussing the incident much on the sets. Everyone is focusing on work because what has happened has happened and now we have to move on. It also shows the attitude and frame of mind of people on the sets. From the actors, and crew to technicians, everyone is very positive towards work. Nobody wants to talk about the negative things, they want to focus on the good things. It is their hard work that’s showing.”
