The drama series “Gunaah,” featuring Surbhi Jyoti and Gashmeer Mahajani in the lead roles, premiered on June 3 on an OTT platform. The show delves into a captivating storyline filled with betrayal, revenge, and the intricate dynamics of love. Recently, Surbhi Jyoti shared her thoughts on portraying the character Tara, shedding light on the challenges and excitement of this multifaceted role.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Surbhi Jyoti revealed that playing Tara allowed her to explore a character that goes beyond the traditional heroine archetype. She remarked, “Until now, I have always been just the heroine in various shows and dramas. In this series, both the hero and heroine embody the roles of both protagonist and antagonist.”
She added, “I’m the heroine and I’m the vamp, and that was the biggest challenge for me. I was hooked by the script even before I agreed to the project because the story was incredibly compelling.”
During the conversation, Surbhi Jyoti also discussed what viewers can expect from “Gunaah.” She said, “The audience will experience many ‘oh my god’ moments, a lot of tears, and many edge-of-the-seat experiences.”
She elaborated, “The show keeps you constantly intrigued, wondering what will happen next, what the characters will do, and how they will react. Just give this show a chance, and I promise you won’t be able to stop watching.”
