Sujatha ran to make the call.
“Hello, beta, mein Sujatha bol rahi hoon! Beta jald se jald tum yaha aa jao. Kal hi aana!!! Ek tum hi ho jo Sanskar aur Laksh ke ladai rok sakthi he (I’m Sujatha. Dear come here as soon as possible. Tomorrow itself. You are the only person who can stop fight between Sanskar and Laksh).” Sujatha said.
“Ab pehle ki tharah nehi he maasi, voh dono bohoth badhal gaye he, jab hum theeno saath the, humare beech dosti thi, sachai tha, pyaar tha, ab voh sab nehi raha, aur voh log meri baath sunne nehi vale (Now its not like before aunty, they both have changed a lot, we the three of us were together, there was friendship, honesty, love, now these don’t exist and they are not going to listen to me).” She said.
“Aaise math kah beta, tum koshish tho karke dekho, ek tu hi he jo iss saare masle ko suljha sakthi he (Don’t tell like that dear, you just give a try, you are the only one who can solve this problem).”
“Par masi (But aunty…).”
“Nehi tu kuch math keh, tujhe aana padega, apni maasi ki baath nehi sunegi tu, mein bhi tumhe dekhe bohoth din hue (No, you don’t tell anything, you have to come, will you not listen to your aunty, also it has been long since I saw you).”

“Kya tum aaise hi unhe ladne ke liye chod dhoge, vo dono ek doosre se nafrat nehi karthe, bas ek doosre se naaraz he, tum bas unke vo naarazgi ke peeche chipi pyaar ki ehsaas unhe dilaade beta, tu vo kar sakthi he (Will you just leave them to fight, they don’t hate each other, they are just angry with each other, you just have to make them realise about the love that is hidden behind their anger, you can do it).”
“Kehna bohoth aasan he maasi,….. par…………….(Its easy to say aunty…… but…………) ” she thought for sometime but finally agreed ”mein aaongi maasi, kal hi aaongi (I’ll come tomorrow itself)!!!!”
Call ended.
Sujatha ran to the hall and helped Annapurna. Annapurna forcefully took away Laksh and Sujatha took away Sanskar.
“Ma, AAPKE LAAD PYAAR NE HI ISE AAISE BANA DIYA (Ma, your pampering has spoiled him)” Laksh shouted out.
Before Sanskar could reply, Sujatha took him to his room.
***In Laksh’s room***
“Kyu ladtha he tu apne bhai se (Why do you fight with your brother), Laksh!!” Annapurna asked with tears in her eyes.
” Ma, yeh aap pooch rahi he (Ma, are you asking this)??? ” Laksh asked in surprise.
“Ek Ma apni bacho ko aaise ladthe hue nehi dekh sakthi (A mother cannot see her children fighting like this).” She said.
“Ma, mujhe kuch nehi patha ma, main apni zindigi ki iss thoor se kaise guzru ma, mujhe aap hi samjhao, sab kuch teekh karne ki koshish kartha hoon mein, par kabhi kabhi dil mein ik dar sa mehsoos hotha he, aisa lagtha he ki mein haarne waala hoon….. (Ma I don’t know, I going through such a part of my life, you explain me, I try to solve everything, but sometimes I feel fearful, I feel like I’m going to loose). ”
Annapurna interrupted, “Chup hoja mera bacha, chup hoja, zyada math soch, tu bas so ja, aaj ma tumhe sulayegi, so ja mera bacha, so ja (Be silent my dear, don’t think too much, you just sleep, I’ll make you sleep, sleep my dear, sleep)!!!” She said as she patted on his hand and head which was now in her lap.
***OMKARA’S RESIDENCE***
***In the kitchen***
They both went to the kitchen, and Gauri washed the plates and Om helped her with her work.
While Om helped her, Gauri looked at him in admiration…. Om noticed her looking at him….. he kept the plate aside and turned towards her.
He went close to her slowly, and got close to her ears and whispered ” Aise math dekho, nazar lagegi mujhe (Come on don’t look at me like that, I’ll be afflicted by bad eye).”
Gauri smiled, and put her hand around his neck.
“Acha ji, when your lady fans look at you, you don’t have problem know, when I look there is problem.” Gauri complained.
“There’s difference in the two.” He replied.
“Haan??? What’s that difference.”
He ran his hand over her waist and pulled her closer and said “When its you, I feel like pulling you closer…. like this.”
She held his hand and tried to free herself but he tightened the grip.
***Bg tune*** (Music : Kabhi jo badal marse)
He got close to her and was about to kiss her, but he didn’t because he felt that she was worried and was not ready. He slowly freed her from his grip and said “Don’t worry mein tumhe force nehi karoonga (Don’t worry I’ll not force you).”
He turned to leave but Gauri pulled him by his collar and stood close to him, while he stood shocked.
“Gauri Singh kabhi apne vadho se peeche nehi hatthi (Gauri Singh never steps back from here promises) Remember the promise I made this morning” she said and stood on her toes to reach his height, and kissed on his cheeks, he smiled and looked at her.
“Acha mujhe kiss karne ka bahana tha, aaj subah ki promise (Oh, today’s promise was a reason to kiss me haan!!” Om exclaimed! ….She suddenly lost her balance but Om balanced her and they both look at each other lost in each others eyes……….. Om kept one hand on her cheeks and slowly got closer to her, they felt each others breath……………………………………………………………….. their lips almost touched each others……… But Gauri shyly turns and Om kissed on her cheeks, he opened his eyes in shock, they both laughed.
“Love you Gauri.” He said with all his love.
She replied with a lovely hug.

*****Next day morning*****
A girl is packing her stuff, wearing Patiala and kurti, smartly handling her work. She locked her room and is about to leave her residence when someone called her from behind……
” Jaldi vapas aana beta, tumhare bina mein yeh NGO kaise chalaoongi, bache tumhare bina kaise rahenge (Come back soon dear, without you how will I run this NGO, How will these children live without you)!!!” an old lady said sorrowfully.
“Fikr not aunty, mein kaha hamesha ke liye jaa rahi hoon, bas kuch dino ki baath he, kam niptaake jaldi laaut aaoongi, aur bacho se maine kal baath ki thi, aap bas meri unse daily baath kara dena (Dont worry aunty, I’m not going to go forever, I’ll come back soon after I finish my work and I had talked to children yesterday, just get me talk to them daily” The girl said.
“Teekhe beta, apna khayal rakhna (Ok dear, take care).”
“Ok ok bye bye aunty” she said and went to catch a rickshaw.
She reached the railway station.
“Bhaiyya kitna hua (How much is it)?”
“100 rupya”
“100 rupya??? Ithne mein tho mein yeh rickshaw khareed sakthi hoon. (For this prize I can buy this rickshaw).” She said
“Zyada baath math karo, jaldi paise nikalo (Don’t talk too much, give the money fast.”
“Arey, pehle itne zyada mehenge he aapke ye dabba rickshaw, upar se aapme baath karne ki tameez bhi nehi he (Already your rickshaw charges too much and above that you don’t have manners .”
“Eh ladki, tu mujhe tameez math sikha, paise nikaal jaldi (Eh girl, don’t teach me manners, take out the money fast).”
“Acha ji, jab tak aap tameez se nehi baath karenge, aur mujhse sorry nehi kahoge, mein aapko paise nehi dene wali. (Oh ho, I’m not going to give you money until you talk properly and say sorry”
“Mujhe gussa math dila, nehi tho mein,….( Dont make me angry,… if you…”
“Nehi tho kya karlega tu, kya karlega bol,….. (What will you do… tell …)” she asked.
Hearing the fight, many people gather……
“Kya kua behenji (what happened sister)” a guy asked.
“Yeh bathameez insaan, iski charges itna zyaada he, maine bas poocha inse, aur yeh mujhse itni rudely baath kar raha he maine bas maafi maagne ko kaha, ye phir mujhpe bhatakraha he (This mannerless man, his charges are so high, I just asked him how high it is and he is behaving so rudely, and not even saying sorry).” She explained.
“Madam se maafi maang, maang madam se maafi (tell madam sorry, tell her).” Guy said to rickshaw driver.
“Bhaiyya chodo bhaiyya (Leave it brother)” she said to the guy.
“Nehi chahiye mujhe tumhaari sorry, rakhlo apne 100 rupay aur chalo (I don’t want your sorry, here, keep your 100 rupees)”. She said and turned to leave.
She entered the train and took her seat.

***SWARA’S RESIDENCE***
Swara got ready to go for jogging. She noticed Gauri sleeping and didn’t want to disturb her, also she wanted to be alone. She went alone for jogging.
She jogged alone and thoughts revolved in her mind.
” I have to find out who is my child’s father, I’m unable to remember anything, I can’t ask anyone because they won’t tell me and will make some reasons for that, the way Laksh and Sanskar behaves…… ” she thought and memories of Laksh asking her to take care…… Sanskar asking her to be careful…… confused her.
She got tired of her thoughts and sat on a bench with her face covered.
“Swara???”
She lifted her head up to see Laksh.
“Kya hua tum teekh ho na??? Tum akel kyu ho, Gauri nehi aai tumhaare saath?? (Are you alright Swara??? Are you alone, Gauri didn’t accompany you??)” he asked.
“Nehi nehi, mein teekh hoon, Gauri so rahi thi aur use disturb nehi karna chahthi thi mein! (No no, I’m fine, Gaur was sleeping and I didn’t want to disturb her.)
“Ok drink water.” He said and handed over a bottle.
“What happened, you look worried.”
“No I’m fine, just a little tired.” She replied.
“Ok fine, come I’ll join you to the quarters.” He said.
“No no its ok Laksh, I’ll manage.”
“How will you manage, your my responsibility, come, I’ll drop you.”
“Ok fine.”
They both jogged back together. All the way the talked…. when they were about to reach, Laksh noticed the weakness in Swara’s voice, and saw her loosing balance.
He balanced her and picked her up. He carried her through the stairs and stood in front of her appartment.
“GAURI, OM…. Open the door…” shouted Laksh.
Gauri heard the voice and ran to wake Om, they both ran to the door and opened it.
“What are you doing here, and what happened to Swara.” She ran to Swara and checked her pulse.
“Where’s the room.” He asked and carried her inside and put her carefully on her bed.
Gauri sprinkled water on her face, and she slowly opened her eyes.
“Swara tum teekh hona, (Swara are you alright)?”
“Ya, I’m fine Laksh, thank you.”
“You don’t have to come to hospital today, take rest ok, I’ve gotta go, bye.”
“Ok bye.” She replied.
Laksh, Om and Swara came out of Swara’s room.
“GAURI, tum itne laaparvah kaise ho sakthi ho (How can you be so careless)???”
“What exactly happened” Om asked.
“Tum dono ko patha he na, ki voh mere bache ki ma banne vali he (You guys know that she is pregnant with my child) if you cant take care of her then tell me, I’ll take her with me.) he said angrily.
Gauri cried.
Laksh left in anger.
Om hugged her and tried to console her.
Swara came to the hall “What happened Gauri, why are you crying?” Swara asked.
“I’m sorry Swara, I couldn’t take good care of you, I’m really very sorry.” Gauri said.
“Who said so, who dared to say that you didn’t take care for me, Jaise tu meri khayal rakhthi he, vaise tho koi sagi behen bhi nehi karegi (How you take care for me, not even a persons own sister would care like that)” she said.
“Par…… (But)….”
“Laksh said right, I know, who gave him the right to say that, I’ll show him today.”
“No need of all that, just go and rest now, I’ll get you your breakfast.”
Gauri helps Swara and then went to the kitchen.
***In the kitchen***
Gauri is busy with her work, she kept on doing her work without looking at Om who stood by her side.
“Gauri, listen to me” he said.
She didn’t respond and continued cooking.
“GAURI….. LISTEN TO ME.” He shouted and held her arms and turned her around.
“Gauri, it was not your fault……, .” he said and tried to calm her down.
She hugged him and cried out.
“Arey Gauri, please don’t cry… I just cant see you like this….. just be grateful that Laksh came on the right time and got her here, we’ll take proper care here after, don’t worry, please.”
*** Bg tune : Saathiya saathiya***
He wiped her tears and hugged her.
