Shivaay returns home, 5:30 by evening. He loosens hie tie and stretches himself relieving all the work stress before entering the house.
He enters the house only to end up face-palming. Both Cat and dog had sat together to secretly watch Kaisi yeh yaariyaan.
To what extent Anika and Gauri fight, to that extent they compromise and end up watching KYY.
“Itni hot lag rahe hai..MANIK!!! you are a hot stuff man!” Gauri squeals.
“Haan yaar. He is.. Something!” Anika replies dreamily looking at the television.
“If only sankarji gives me a wish, i will ask him to send me on a date with Mr.Hottie” Gauri sighs.
“And if Haiyappa gives me a wish, ill definitely ask him, Such that i kiss Manik malhotra on that super s*xy Jawline of his” Anika silent squeals.
“Besharam!” Shivaay sighs out in disbelief from behind.
Anika and Gauri freeze. “Phail gaya raita” they chorally mutter. And turn to Shivaay with an awkward smile.
“You?? Dinner date with Mister Hottie uh?” He says and knocks her head. “Ouch” Gauri whines.
“And.. and you! Kiss on Manik Malhotra’s jawline uh??” He says and squeezes anika’s ears.
“Oww oww Auww… it hurts!!! Im sorry!! She screams trying to slip her ear from him.
“Hope you remember you have a possessive boyfriend. And kitni besharami..sitting with your sister and drooling over the same guy. Chii..” He keeps ranting. While Gauri pretty enjoyed the scene.
Anika tried explaining but the blue eyes boy was engaged in ranting. She shook her head and quickly placed a kiss on his cheeks without gauri noticing.
Shivaay stands dumbstruck. Gauri doubts the sudden silence and turns to find her bade bhaiya speechless.
“Shivaay bhaiya.. tum tk? Gauri trails.
Shivaay finally comes out of the trance.
“Errr… umm.. yeah!! You guys drooled over Manik Malhotra. Big deal! It’s a normal thing to do. It’s nothing. I was just acting to be angry. I am.. i am not.. Angry!” Shivaay stammers and rushes in to the kitchen for a glass of water.
“Ajeeb he. He was furious the previous second and totally fine the next?” Gauri scratches her head while Anika chuckles.
“Jaldi jaldi bhaiya.. we are getting late” Gauri hops and sets her hair right.
“Excuse me. Where are you both going? And that too leaving me?” Anika chides narrowing her eyes.
“I wish bhaiya leaves you behind. But what to do? You’re his lobster! You are coming along” Gauri shrugs and continues appling minimal makeup.
Shivaay walks out from the kitchen smiling and hands Anika a glass of water as well.
“Wah! I am going out today and i didnt even know it. Acha tell me. Where are we going?” Anika asks holding the glass. She takes a sip in.
“Bhaiya told me that he’ll take us for ‘Shopping’! Yayy” Gauri says and Anika spits the water in the next fraction of section.
“Noooo! Anika yells and stands shocked. “You promised her that you’ll take her shopping?” Anika asks hopelessly.
“Yeah..” Shivaay starts.
“BEWAKOOF!” Anika facepalms.
Shivaay stands perplexed while Gauri rolls her eyes.
“She buys the whole store Mister!” Anika breaks.
“Like you?” Shivaay asks casually and gets a hard hit by her elbow.
“She buys untill the last penny from your savings go empty” Anika pulls Gauri’s leg more.
“No i dont! Fatty!” Gauri yells.
“Yes you do! Couch potato!” Anika yells back.
“Okay calm down. Anika! I have no objection in buying stuffs for my sister. And Gauri, it’s your day today. Buy till you are satisfied? Fine?” Shivaay sighs.
Anika gives a helpless reaction and Gauri starts jumping.
They spent solid 5 hours shopping and shivaay was finally found dragging a dozen bags home.
“We are out of petrol!” Shivaay informs them before kicking the Scooty.
“We ultimately have just 175 rupees” Anika informs and hold her hips.
“Why dont we buy that Antique jhumka for 170 and return home walking. We’ll save FIVE RUPEES!” Gauri suggests with excited eyes.
Anika turns to Shivaay with a cold look. While shivaay threw a sheepish smile to her.
“If only you havent offered her for shopping this wouldnt have happened!” She silent yells to Shivaay.
Shivaay just avoids getting into that conversation with her. Bechara Shivaay had no idea Gauri was a Shopaholic. He just wanted to be the best brother.
Just like she wanted, they bought the jhumkas and walked back home.
Gauri rushed to her room to try out the new dresses and accessories. So Anika stomped to Shivaay’s room.
Shivaay dropped all the bags in the hall and slowly peeped to his room. Anika was angrily murmuring something.
He zips his lip and slowly tiptoes inside.
“If you are here to console me.. im in no mood for that right now. If you come closer, i may even slap you so hard for doing this. I cant believe you just spent all your cash on those stupid stuff. I can understand that you want to be a good brother to Gauri. But dont be such an idiot..” she continues.
Half way though, shivaay just holds Anika’s hand and Anika stops talking. He pulls her out and drags her to the terrace.
“Kya kar.. kya.. shivaay.. what are you doing?” She whines trying to control her anger.
He takes up the floating lantern that they had bought when they went shopping last time and looks at her.
She slips a smile in her lips and asks him for a explanation as she folds her arms.
“They say that floating lanterns takes and floats away with our problems and worries. I dont wanna see this.. this..(he points to her narrowed eyes) this angry look on you face. Send it away. Please” he says and hands her the lantern.
She finally smiles and signals him to catch the other end. They both lift in higher and allow it to fly away.
She smiles and takes cover under his warm embrace. His hug was so addictive that she didnt want to come out from it.
“Hold on just a little longer!” She says.
“So.. how long is this ‘little’?” He asks.
“Is forever too long?” She asks.
“Hmm.. Forever isnt long enough” He replies and hugs her tighter.
They both head down after a while holding hands to find Gauri Sleeping.
“I dont know.. but she isnt that evil like i thought. All she wanted was to buy the whole store and for you to return back empty handed. But wah! she saved Five rupees for you. Now you know why i love her shivaay” Anika taunts with a smile.
“Omg. Not again!” Shivaay sighs and facepalms.
