Hina Khan explains why she wrote ‘dad and his family’ instead of writing ‘my family’ in her recent tweets

It’s been a difficult month for Hina Khan and her family. Just a few days after her dad’s demise due to cardiac arrest, she tested positive for Covid-19. She took a break from the social media for few days and only recently she responded to some of the condolence messages she received from her friends on Twitter. In the tweets, Hina Khan talked about her dad and called themselves ‘his family’ instead of saying her family. She later explained this with an emotional reply to the user who raised the question.

Referring to her tweet to Rubina Dilaik, the Twitter user asked, “I’m sorry for out of topic comment. Just wanted to know, why is it tweeted as dad and ‘his’ family…Why not my family?”

To this, she responded, and said, “Becoz we love to be called as #HisFamily This is how he used to introduce us ever since we were born.. He loved the fact that we are his family, his children, his wife Aslam Khan’s family. We are his flesh and blood. This house is his house, he is everywhere…Forever #HisFamily.”

Hina’s fans were all support and condolences after her reply. One user wrote, “Each and every word u said is absolutely true…he always said and even u say “U are Daddy’s Strong girl” and this pride and happiness was in his eyes.” While another shared, “This is heartbreaking how you’d feel to be in the house without him. He took care of you like a baby even though you were an adult. Awesome dad and a great human being.”
