Hina Khan Opens Up About the Challenges of Filming During Menstruation

Hina Khan, a well-known actress in the television industry, has always been candid about the struggles actors face, particularly during hectic shooting schedules. Recently, she took to social media to discuss a specific challenge: filming during menstruation. Hina expressed a desire for the option to skip shooting during the first two days of her period, highlighting the difficulties involved.

On May 15, Hina Khan shared her thoughts on Instagram about the struggles of shooting during periods. She reposted a question asking, “Tell us a big no-no during periods!” and added her own comment: “I wish I had an option of not shooting on the first two days… not exaggerating.”

She elaborated on the post, describing the extreme conditions: “But imagine shooting outdoors, in almost 40 degrees, with bad period cramps, mood swings, dehydration, heat rashes, discomfort, low BP, shooting chase sequences with a lot of running around in the sun, it’s madness.” She included the hashtag ‘actors life’ and a disappointed emoji to convey her frustration.

This isn’t the first time Hina has spoken out about the demanding nature of her job. Last month, she discussed the difficulties of working long hours without breaks and the impact on her ability to eat properly. She shared how the relentless schedule made it challenging to find time for rest and proper meals.

Hina also recalled her shooting days in Chandigarh, where locals would bring her home-cooked food. She expressed her gratitude for the love and support she received during that time, which helped her cope with the grueling schedule.

Recently, Hina Khan appeared in the Punjabi film “Shinda Shinda No Papa” alongside Gippy Grewal. On television, she is best known for her role as Akshara in “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.”
