As dulaari was going inside the quarter after finishing her work in AN, her footsteps stopped on a voice
…: If you want to see the act of your daughter
Dulaari moved towards that manly voice with a sharp look
Dulaari: how many times I’ve to tell you that don’t talk about my daughter, pandit phool chand
Phool chand: (with a smirking look) even I’m not interested but she has done a sin and being a mother you should know about that
Dulaari: (confusedly) what’re you talking about? Tell me clearly
Phool chand: bataane ke nahe deykhne ke baat hai yeh
And he took out a cellphone from his front pocket and showed her a picture of girl who was all colored with gulaal. Dulaari was shocked after seeing that picture as the girl was her daughter, Dhaani. She didn’t know how to react thus stayed silent for awhile
Phool chand: kia hoa? If there is nothing to say now. You were so proud of your daughter, weren’t you but deykho that same daughter of yours has become the reason of your shame. She went against the rules of widow so now what punishment you’re suggesting for her?
Dulaari: (taking a deep breath) deykhye pandit jee I know my daughter better and I’m sure there must be a solid reason behind it aur ap tou wesey he humare buchiya ko pasand nahe karte that’s why you’re creating all this drama
Phool chand: deykho..
But before he could complete someone interrupted him
…: Tum yahaan phool chand, is there any problem with you?
Both (phool chand and dulaari) looked towards that someone who was none other than viplav
Phool chand: Arey viplav baba nothing, I just came to talk with dulaari
Viplav: it’s better if you only came to talk agar koi aur wajah hoe tou you won’t be spare because we all know that you’re master in creating problems especially for women
Phool chand: nothing like that baba, who can create problems for dulaari after all she has such a good son like you and a very sincere dau..
Viplav: (casually) now you can leave
Phool chand fumed in anger after listening his words and took a leave from there unwillingly
Viplav: kaaki what was he saying? If there is any problem?
Dulaari: kuch nahe bus wesey he ai thy
Viplav: then why are you looking so worried?
Dulaari: (smiles gulping her tears) aisa kuch nahe hai. I’m alright now you may go and have some food
Viplav: and where’re you going?
Dulaari: I’ve some work to do bachwa jee
Viplav nodded understandably and leaves from there leaving dulaari alone who was really shattered, dhaani’s picture was revolving in her mind
In Quarter:
Dulaari was sitting on the floor in broken state keeping her palm on forehead. The doorbell rang and she stands up to open up the door, dhaani entered inside with a smile, the smile which was hiding her inner pain
Dulaari: where were you the whole day
Dhaani: maayi bataya tou tha (while splashing water on her face) I was in ashram and then went to temple with raj lakshmi and suwarna
Dulaari: acha (giving stress on ‘acha’) and something special happened today
Dhaani: (wiping her face with towel) nahe, nothing special happened maayi. But why are inquiring like this?
Dulaari: phool chand came today
Dhaani’s breath almost stopped after listening the name, she looked at her maayi with all terrific expressions
Dulaari: now if you’re going to tell me or..
Dhaani: maayi woh he..
Before she could justify herself dulaari slapped her on her right cheek
Dulaari: I didn’t even think in my dreams that you’ll do all this dhaani, sab kuch bhool gae kia? The rules, customs which I taught you…
Dhaani: (in the verge of crying) nahe maayi a boy did this I don’t know why but it’s not my fault maayi
Dulaari: if it’s not your fault then my fault, kitne baar kaha hai k seedha jaya karo aur seedha aya karo but no why you’ll listen to me
Dhaani: (wiping her tears) maayi hum..
Dulaari: chup dhaani bilkol chup, today I was embarrased in front of phool chand only because of you
She again lifted her arm to slap dhaani but a hand stopped her from doing so
…: Yeh kia kar rahe ho dulaari? Are you out of your mind?
Dulaari: chorr dejie humen, you don’t know what mistake she has done today
…: whatever mistake she has done but it’s not the right way of punishment
Dulaari: phir ap he bataye durga jee how to explain her, in spite of knowing all the rules, she coloured herself, apne ap ko rang diya iss na being a widow phir bhe you’re telling me to calm down
Durga: acha theek hai but first tell me (making her sit on a chair) the matter. Hoa kia hai?
Dulaari: ask from dhaani, she’ll tell you better
Durga: no, I’ll ask from you because you may know the whole matter that’s why punishing her. Right?
Dulaari realize that she didn’t even bother to listen her, instead she was accusing her continuously
Durga: dhaani beta don’t cry you know very well that your maayi gets angry very easily (wiping her tears) ab chorro yeh sab and take this (handing her over a tiffin) iss mai laddoo hain, serve them nicely and bring them to us
Dhaani nodded affirmatively and moved towards the kitchen
Durga: (sitting on a chair) now tell me what happened? Aisa kia hogaya k you were behaving like that
Dulaari: (taking a deep breath) phool chand came and showed me her picture, she was all drenched in gulaal (shutting her eyes) aur kuch sun’na chahte hain ap?
Durga: just because phool chand told you something, you started beating dhaani without even listening her clarification
Dulaari: haan tou aur kia karte, kuch samjh nahe araha tha humen
Durga: deykho dulaari as far as I know dhaani she’s is very nice girl and will never break the rules which you’ve taught so there must be a valid reason behind this incident aur jahan tak phool chand ke baat hai you know he’s famous for instigation, tripurari himself had told me several things about him then why are you paying heed to him
Meanwhile dhaani came there with the plate of laddoo which was well served, she bend down to keep them on plate and then stands up while looking at dulaari
Durga: dhaani betya tell us what exactly happened then only your maayi will understand something
Dhaani: durga maayi I haven’t done anything, believe me. There was a boy who threw colors on me don’t know why he thought I played some prank on him and instead of getting embarrase he was arguing with me. Such mai woh aik rakchas tha (walking towards dulaari) maayi agar tum par koi rang phenk dey tou us mai tumhare tou koi ghalte nahe hoge naa similarly what’s my mistake in all this (wiping her tears and bending on her knees) but still if you think that I’m at fault then punish me in fact kill me, I’m alive till now only because of you lekin agar tum he naraz hoge tou hum mar jaai gy
Dulaari after listening her words forgot everything and hugged her tightly while tears were making way from her eyes.
Dulaari: I’ve told you many times that don’t talk about death but still you’re doing same. Bohat zidi ho tum apne baap ke tarah
Dhaani: (smiles emotionally) kam zidi tou tum bhe nahe ho maayi
Durga: acha acha, now stop all this rona dhona and eat this (giving them a laddoo) in fact aik dosre ko khilao pyaar sey
Dulaari and dhaani feeds the laddoo to each other with a smiling face
Dulaari: dhaani buchiya maaf kar do apne maayi ko but kia karun when I saw your picture I…
Dhaani: koi baat nahe maayi. You were right at your place
Durga: dulaari don’t decide anything without having complete information especially when you know your daughter is so sincere
Dulaari: theek keh rahe hain ap, bus that time my mind wasn’t working but thanks to you as you came on right time
Durga: hum tou laddoo ley kar ai thy dhaani k liye as dhaani likes them a lot that’s why thought to bring them for her but now it’s too late so I should leave
Both nodded understandably and greeted durga nicely
At Ayodha Nivas:
In viplav’s room:
Viplav was talking with his friend on cellphone when daadi passed through that way and listened his conversation
Viplav: that’s all happening because of tripurari, if that day he would’ve driven nicely then we wouldn’t have met that girl. Then at ghat because of you both I went to ask about her personal life (sighing softly) I don’t want to listen anything about her because she’s a thankless widow, you know I saved her but then also she didn’t even bother to say a thanks yaar thanks bolne mai kia jata us ka. Now I’m thinking that I’ve done right by throwing gulaal on her, kuch tou akal theekane ai hoge
Daadi gets shocked after listening viplav’s words, and within a second she entered inside making viplav surprise
Viplav: raj I’ll talk to you later
Saying so he hanged up the call and stood in front of his daadi
Viplav: daadi what happened? Why are you looking so tensed?
Daadi: why shouldn’t I be tense after all my grandson has done such a cheap act
Viplav: daadi I think you’re trying to say noble act by saving a girl. Right? But how you came to know about that?
Daadi: viplav I’m talking about throwing color on a widow, why had you done that?
Viplav’s eyes popped out after realizing that his daadi has also came to know about all that drama
Viplav: daadi woh leave all this, first you (making her sit on the bed) may sit down
Daadi: (freeing herself from viplav’s grip) don’t touch your daadi, tell me why did you do this to her?
Viplav: because she misbehaved with me, pata nahe kia samajhte hai khud ko. Bohat gussa tha humen uss par that’s why I did this
Daadi: (patting her forehead with disappointment) viplav what have you done beta? Vidva par rang, you’ve done a biggest mistake so now you’ve to seek her forgiveness
Viplav: (lifting his brows) I’ll say sorry to her, impossible
Daadi: if you’ll not do this, then I’ll also not talk with you
Viplav: daadi yeh kia baat hoe yaar, you’re not saying anything to her, she always showed me attitude then also I’ll say sorry
Daadi: that’s not attitude viplav, they’ve to stay reserve but anyways you’re going to apologise else don’t call me daadi
Viplav: (with a crying face) princess don’t do this, I don’t want to see her sorry tou dur ke baat hai
Daadi: (with a serious look) viplav if you’re apologizing like a good boy or not?
Viplav: (taking a deep breath) fine, I’ll but I don’t know where she lives and all then also I’ll try
Daadi: mujhe yeh sab nahe pata, us sey maafi maango then only I’ll talk with you
Viplav: theek hai princess I’ll say sorry but it’s quite late so tomorrow
Daadi: (smiles) I know, ab so ja
Viplav nodded while softly kissing her forehead
In Quarter:
Dhaani walked towards dulaari who was sleeping on the bed, she properly covers her through the comforter
“Koi na deykhe mere ansoo chup chup k mai ro lun,
Jeevan sey hai har rang rootha, jeevan sey hai har rang rootha phir mai kese bolun plays”
She walked towards the window and stands before it thinking the morning incident, the way viplav talked with her then saved her
“Ishq ka rang safed hai yaara, ishq ka rang safed plays”
In Viplav’s room:
Viplav sat on the sofa with an irritating expression, the way dhaani behaved with her was revolving in his mind, the word “Rakchas” was echoing in his ears
“Ishq ka rang safed hai yaara, ishq ka rang safed plays”
Viplav’s POV: what the hell yaar! Again I’ve to face her, seriously she’s getting on my nerves ajeeb nakchari larki hai. Now I’ve to apologise from that thankless widow. God what’s happening with me, hum wapis ai he kyun
“Ishq ka rang safed hai yaara, ishq ka rang safed plays”
In morning,
At Temple:
Viplav stopped his jeep in front of the temple and gets out of the vehicle while brushing his hairs through his hands
“Ishq ishq rang rang ishq ka rang safed,
Ishq ishq rang rang, ishq ka rang safed plays”
He ascended the stairs and stands before the idol where dhaani was already standing folding her hands and with closed eyes, he stares her for awhile then shifted his gaze to the idol and folds his hands in order to pray
“Ishq ishq rang rang, ishq ka rang safed,
Ishq ka rang safed hai yaara, ishq ka rang safed plays”
Screen freezes!
Precap: viplav asked dhaani to forgive her while handing her over a box later viplav was passing in front of the quarter when he heard some noises, he suspiciously knocked the door and gets surprised
