Episode 4 – Part 1
Viplav : Where is she gone ?
Suddenly, his eyes fall on her bed, and smiles remembering their first night conversation after their marriage, Viplav’s arm around her neck and Dhaani holding his shirt playing with the shirt button. He sits on the sheets and feels her. Suddenly, a piece of paper falls near his foot from the covers. He looks at it confused and then takes it in his hands. He opens the piece of paper and gets surprised, reading the first words.
(when he reads, he sees Dhaani talking)
“Dear ashram ladies
This is your Dhaani.”
It was a letter written by Dhaani. His Dhaani.
Viplav : (looks on) Dhaani… wrote a letter?
He continues reading.
“Please don’t panic reading this letter. I am writing this to say that we are leaving Banaras, forever.”
Viplav gets shocked reading those words.
“I am sorry to tell this in this way, but we didn’t have any other solution. We had to leave this city, I had to do so. Because, I can’t remain there when Viplav doesn’t even want to see me.”
A tear falls from his eyes.
“And as I told you all, I don’t want Viplav to know about the news.”
He looks at the letter shocked.
“I know how much he wanted this child. If he comes to know, he would oblige me to come with him, and I don’t want my child to live there.”
Viplav sighs.
“After what happened yesterday, I feel even more scared for my child. They could even kill it.”
Viplav widely opens his eyes.
“And I don’t want our child to suffer for my happiness of being with his father.”
Viplav closes his eyes crying.
“Anyways! Maai and me are going, leaving our memories and heart in our ashram. But please, do not search for us. And especially do not tell anything about this to Viplav. Such an angry man! He might search for us while I am trying to go far away from him.”
Viplav looks at the letter with a cute angry face.
“We already miss you a lot. Lots of love.
Dhaani V”
He notices she didn’t write his name entirely but repeatedly wrote the “V”. He touches it and closing his eyes, feels Dhaani calling his name. He then gets down , his face completely dull because of tears, which surprises the ashram ladies.
Rajlakshmi : What happened jeejaji ? And what is this in your hand ?
She takes the letter from his hand while he stays motionless.
Badi Amma : Rajlakshmi, what is this letter ?
Rajlakshmi : (looks at the letter surprised) Badi Amma, (looks at Badi Amma) Dhaani wrote this.
Badi Amma : What ? Dhaani ?
Rajlakshmi starts reading (muted and slow motion moment) and everyone gets shocked while Viplav is lost in his thoughts.
Rajlakshmi : (keeps reading) We already miss you a lot. Lots of love. Dhaani V.
She suddenly looks at Viplav who was looking upset.
Rajlakshmi : Jeejaji, (shows the letter) where have you got this ?
Viplav : In her room.
Badi Amma : Why did she take such a decision ?
Viplav : All because of me. If I would have tried to listen to her or at least reduce my anger, then she would have been with me right now.
Rajlakshmi : What are you going to do ?
Viplav : What she didn’t want us to do.
Badu Amma : Betha, let’s give her some time. She has suffered a lot.
Viplav : And I won’t let her suffer more.
Viplav goes away from there leaving the ashram ladies tensed.
Badi Amma : Dear God. Please bring back happiness into their lives.
Viplav reaches the police station and goes in. He stands in front of the commissioner’s table and the latter looks at him.
Commissioner : Mr. Viplav, you ?
Viplav : I have to report a missing complaint.
Commissioner : Who ?
Viplav : My wife.
Later, in the evening
Daadi is busy in the kitchen making food thinking about Dhaani and Viplav.
Daadi : I wish, Viplav comes back home along with Dhaani.
Kanak who was passing from there, heard what she said and stopped walking. She turns to look at her and goes in.
Kanak : Mahji, please remove such wishes from your mind.
Daadi looks at Kanak.
Kanak : Because Viplav will never come back with her. He finally understood who she is and broke his relation with her.
Daadi ; Don’t say like that Bahu. Dhaani is going to be the mother of Viplav’s child.
Kanak looks annoyed.
Daadi : Even if you all try to separate them, God will make them reunite soon sending their child on Earth.
Kanak : Mahji, don’t expect too much from Viplav. He will never accept Dhaani, and certainly not that child.
Suddenly they hear someone entering in the house and fall on Viplav walking by there, lost in his thoughts.
Kanak : Viplav betha, finally you are here.
Viplav looks at his mother.
Kanak : Where were you ? You weren’t even there for lunch.
Viplav says nothing and looks down.
Daadi ; Viplav, what happened betha? Why are you looking so upset ? Is everything fine ?
Viplav keeps looking down.
Kanak : Arey, say something at least.
Viplav : Mah, I am tired, (looks at his mother) I will go to my room to take rest.
And he goes from there leaving a confused Kanak and a tensed Daadi. They then look both at each other and Kanak goes from there giving an annoyed look.
Viplav comes into his room and sits on the bed depressed and lost in his thoughts. Suddenly he feels someone’s presence in the room and turns back to see Kamini standing there with books. He was irritated and turns his head back to look straight.
Kamini : I hope I am not disturbing you.
Viplav looks on.
Kamini : Actually, I didn’t understand a chapter so…
Viplav : Kamini please, not now. I am not in the mood to teach anything. Go from here.
Kamini : Hmm should I bring you some coffee ? You look tired.
Viplav : No thanks. Go from here.
Kamini : Then should…
He suddenly stand up and turns his head with anger.
Viplav : (shouts) I told you, go away from here.
It shocked Kamini who was looking at him. He then pushes her out of his room and closes the door making noise. Kamini makes an irritated look and looks somewhere else.
Kamini : (angry) Today you pushed me out of the room. But soon you will make me enter in on your own.
