Wonder woman Imlie will squeeze a win through somehow, as it’s a question of family’s “dignity”! Literally, these episodes are trash; all the time is wasted in this dumb ‘Best Bahu competition’ and conspiracies. I’d prefer more screen time for Malini and Kunal. They’re mature and realistic.
@Tara – Imlie learnt how to wear an apron by watching Pullavi π€¦ββοΈ it isn’t rocket science ππ€£π
Pullavi offering to help Imlie is a form of cheating π both should have been disqualified for cheating π€£π
Was Radha not mortified that her DIL got disqualified?
IKR, Kally π It’s very stupid of the makers to project her as an extremely clueless and dumb village girl. I mean, villagers do have common sense (talking about some past situations) She doesn’t know basic English, leukemia, what a mobile phone is, and manages to top the state. Cool! And of course the sole focus is on Imlie, how can they disqualify her? π€£ They don’t care if it is partiality or not.
Everyone knows about mobile phones, funny my cousins from the village have the latest gadgets more so than us!
We were told it’s a fast growing commodity in India.
You will see people in rags but they have mobiles and satellite dishes on the most basic homes!
Writers need to be a bit more realistic.
Yeah, they need to be realistic. Also when it comes to T family. Have you ever seen a family like that? π Where a maid is given costly necklaces and thrown lavish b’day parties for! Whole day long they used to do nothing but entertain and pamper their maid. No one even has a job but we see their mansion house is luxuriously decorated every second day…. π It’s just too funny for me.
Imli thinks that she will actually become best bahu by winning this competition ππ
If she wants to become even a good bahu thn she needs to stop lying first
Exactly!
Family “dignity”, where was it when Adilie announced their marriage so publicly?π£
Why have none of these educated women questioned the fact that Hindu law prohibits 2 wives, and made such a hoo haa, that police get involved and take Aditya away for questioning?
Seems this stupid competition overrides the fact that a crime has actually been committed π€¦ββοΈ
Time wasting and cringing storyline.
Malini needs to either get divorced or file a complaint at police station, so we can get some realistic content.
So true!!!
Imlie told to aparna again that she gave her haq to malini when aparna taunted her and aparna was feeling emotional. Wowen why she is throwing her mahanta at everyone face.
Saw the episode after reading your comment. Isn’t it disgusting how she is flaunting her favors and sacrifices everywhere. They can’t be called ‘sacrifices’ anymore, bcs she’s clearly showing off to prove her greatness. If you have good intentions and are truly selfless, you won’t back off from your sacrifice nor would you brag about it. This Imlie sure is awfully two-faced. Sometimes she drives me insane with her fake mahaanta speeches.
Completely agree
@Tara Exactlyβ¦ The so called imlie devi wants to flaunt her devi-ness almost in each and every episode whenever she gets called out for the things she did by spitting out her so called sacrifices and shedding crocodile tears. ππIf she was truly selfless she wonβt ever flaunt her devi-ness and brag about the sacrifices she has made (that is if she made any). With the irrelevant regressive storyline this show already became a circus..Imlie devi is a topper but yet not knowing the basic rules of a competition takes the common sense to a whole another levelπππ isnβt it common sense to not help out in the competition unless the contestants are categorized into teams with team members?πππ but yeah since the mahaan devi wants to win so desperately she can resort to any means even if she has to cheat. Anyways she has cheated her own sister so cheating in a competition that too best bahu competition wonβt be a big thing for herπππ also the makers should focus the storyline more on Maalini and KC. Atleast this show will become better when they put more screen space on realistic people and on mature people with common sense
Tbh, I just want to slap her. Her tearless crying is non stop.
Aparna is trying to come to terms with Adilie declaration but no, they have to shove everything into her face.
I’m surprised Aparna did not step back when Imlie went to touch her feet!
We know Imlie is going to win competition, it’s given bit why torture viewers with such a worthless, mindless, degrading to bahus around the world competition?
Now that truth is out Imlie and Adi can concentrate afresh (meaning without the liesπ) and focus slightly ahead on the next step forward….π
….
Anu my dear, you are trying to shame Imlie further in front of society lol…you should know by now that like me, she doesn’t care!!! more lol…and she will still be kind to you…π … I hope π
…
So all the dishes I saw had veges on top…Pizza, pasta…don’t understand why to disqualify Imlie’s dish…seems as tho she made a fat roti with veges on the top without the cheese π€ sorta like a vegan pizza… not an Indian dish…what am I missing here???
…
Can’t wait to see her dance π more than likely Gashu did choreography as I saw similar moves from the charity event performance…ππ
…
No Malini today π€…however, I believe this bahu competition will last a few more episodes soooo…..π
Rofl anu i don’t know how much low you’ll stoop but it’s okay atleast you are entertaining to watch atleast better than some unwanted person. I miss KC too poor guy wasting his feelings. Thank God another didi free episode β€β€β€
@Ahana – Anu is just trying to get her own back on Imlie for hurting her daughter and, unfortunately, being the product of Dev’s EMA.
At least we’re getting a bit of storyline from her.
More of didi, KC etc would be entertaining.
Would love it if Sundar married Rupi after Rupi too gets a divorce, show the love blossoming between them two.
T family advertisement for future servants “great employer, plenty of scope for future advancement” ππ€£
Ofcourse getting a husband like sundar is a blessing but so sorry your wish cannot be fulfilled as Sundar consider rupi as elder sister and rupi herself is enough she don’t a man to step ahead in life atleast she has self respect she never went behind that man after knowing that he loved someone else and cheated on her. And talking about anu she stayed with her cheater husband just for her fake pride even after knowing he slept with other woman she didn’t raised a single question on him but was always ready to insult the other woman pathetic lady for a reason nah….. And yeah i don’t know abt you but we consider servants as human too Anywaz leave it let me enjoy that finally after so long we got didi free episode what else matter ππ
Imlie saying ‘it’s not cheating and Pallavi was just trying to help’ is ridiculous. π As per competition rules, you aren’t allowed to help. Anu is not wrong here. It’s Pallavi’s own foolishness. What was the need to be so over mahaan? And Tripathis making weird faces! π
Now it’s quite predictable…’everyone is biting their nails…time is running out…tripathis panic….BOOOM!!! wonder woman Imlie gets a last minute brainwave…and OMG she wins….!!’
How dramatic. Nothing new
@Tara, yes ridiculous. competition and exam rules (unless a team) are, that nobody is allowed to help, otherwise it’s cheating, simple as that, also no chatting to the other person.
Funniest thing was she even managed to have time to bake the damn pizza, alot of time was spent just kneading that dough! I did not see an oven anywhere unless of course, she used a tava!
Brainwave lol, moti roti with vegetables on top ππ€£
Yup, no surprises there, just boring episode.
Apparently, dance session next but how it contributes towards being the best bahu, I fail to understand π€·ββοΈ
When the last 10 minutes were left, she was still kneading the dough. Then managed to have it all done with cooked veggies on top? π well after all she is miracle-girl π Family saying its unfair because Pallavi was disqualified…Nothing makes sense here.
Rupali yells its unfair when Pallavi gets disqualifies? do all tripathi siblings think the world should treat them differently or what? Ita competition. there are rules. You try to give some unfair advantage to a participant by giving extra ingredients then its cheating. hence the disqualification… its not a team competition. How is it unfair? Unfair is the fact that such a competition is going on and everyone in the society is taking it so seriously. Its not even fun but all about dignity and prestige. like, what the hell? What kind of weird toxic society is this?
.
I know these people keep treating anu as a villain. But Anu treated them harshly because she felt her daughter was marrying beneath her by choosing Adi who is not as rich. And now these people are treating imlie harshly for the same reason. Not because of Bigamy. But because she is a servant and her mother was an unwed mom. So, now what gives them the right to still have the high ground? they are nothing better. They are even using Malini just to throw imlie out same as Anu is trying to use KC. These people are all same but behave all goody goody. Atleast Anu is not two faces and wears all her classism and arrogance on her sleeve.
.
Btw does anyone know where the other other couple from this family has vanished to? there was another son and DIL and even their kids. they have suddenly disappeared and nobody is mentioning them anymore. Shouldnt that DIL be participating too?
Even Anu was concerned about her status in high society and Tripathis are also mainly concerned about the same thing. Neither of them are concerned about their children’s happiness or right/wrong. i though atleast Anu would file a bigamy case but nope. The entire thing has turned into a class fight completely discarding other serious issues.
And i know it seems like its only the city people biased against the villagers but the reverse is also true. Satyakam has a strong opinion against city dwellers. Satyakam even buries Adi alive while Anu only hit imlie in the head with a rod. The reaction to that was imlie saying ‘City people are this and that’ while Adi basically said Satyakam was justified because he cared about imlie. Satyakam was whitewashed.
And those biases have rubbed off against imlie as well. After the truth reveal, imlie again said something to Adi like ‘truth is treated differently in the city’. as if the village is the citadel of truth or something. Why does this show keeps pitching village against city through its characters. Specially when the main lead says this stuff, and imlie is never shown to be wrong. So are we just supposed to believe that city people are biased, and classist, and liars, and cruel and what not? What about the villagers who taunted imlie and mithi all their lives? Nakli nani is worse that Anu. so why this comparison always? there are bad and good people everywhere and people everywhere have their own value systems. i dont like how there is a continuos comparison here.
I don’t even know from where the concept of ‘village people hate city people’ or vice versa evolved. I am from a village and I don’t hate city people. I studied in a city, and my friends always beg me to come to my home. They all enjoy trip to my home that much. Where is the angle of hate bro π
Matlb Kuch bhi dikha rhe ho kya.
@Dhara – well said. We’re all human, doesn’t matter where you come from, village or city. There are good and bad people in both
@Dhara yeah, I can’t agree more. The villagers are no better than city people in this show, but they are glorified and portrayed as innocent souls each and every time. As you said, Satyakam is the best example. He is a criminal by the law. He tried to bury Adi alive, he kidnapped a doctor etc but all that is fair, huh? Because he loves Imlie? Anu also loves Malini, she should also be justified then. So much biasedness. Everyone on this earth is a human and have their own flaws. It doesn’t matter where you are from, village or city. Not all city people are bad and likewise not all villagers are innocent. This show is basically instigating the viewers against city people. And that the villagers are victims! Imlie doesn’t see that her Dadda has tried to kill many times
Yes so true. Times have gone by, when villagers used to be innocent. Now they are not. Trust me on that.
Speaking my heart out, I see village people to be more cunning these days.
Well, it not about city or village, it’s just about a person.
@Tara – SK tried to kill, I think he has killed many times, the bodies are probably buried all over the place, he seemed to be an expert on that when burying Adi
Yes, agreed with both of you.
Tara, Yoyo… i agree with both of you. i have lived in a lots of places and met people from both cities and villages but never seen the scenes they show here. Even Imlie’s first days in college was so extra. the city kids fooling her to propose to a sir, making fun of her… does that really happen? How rich is imlie’s college? if anyone can share real life experience i will like to hear because i haven’t seen anything like it. Most people just get along in colleges and try to have fun together. Except if some one is a bully, but such a person will target both city kids and villagers. Dont know why this show propagates this bias against city dwellers and imlie is being made fun of because she is from a village. Even with that sindoor drama in front of media, the media persons were asking right questions to imlie about whether she is married or not but Adi made a big drama as if city dwellers dont respect village traditions and all. Why this narrative showing hatred or ridicule against villagers?
Even I think that the college students bullying Imlie on the basis of her being a villager is very unrealistic. Gone are those days. Such things don’t happen anymore. This ‘village vs city’ World War 3 concept was introduced only to spark people’s interest and gain more TRP for their show. π€¨
Imlie should focus on her study & think how far she can go ahead & prove the family wrong I did like this drama but now Iβm starting to hate it
Soooo…I thought it necessary to address an issue which seems to often be the ’cause’ of many a cheap laugh π
…
In my country there are many villages where living life is often omit of a lot of things seen in the more populated and modernized areas… let’s say, village vs city/town life… π
…
1. Current technology: Now, while most people are somewhat educated in technology, there are still many people living in rural areas who are completely unaware of this thing called technology (and believe me…from personal experience…there are some that really don’t know π) …due to the facts that they simply don’t know, are not interested or simply don’t want to change their lifestyle…..so to actually say that ‘everyone’ knows about new-age technology would be null and void in my opinion…(references: National geographic… Travel channels…etc…)
…
2. Modernized education: Not every village in my country has access to education, in the actual village… and often children are seen trekking thru man-made pathways of agricultural land to get to the main roadway (often a dirt road) then to a sometimes hour long drive to the nearest school, whether it’s located in the next village or city/town… π …as for it being modernized, then yes to the city/town…and in some villages yes, but often ‘no’ mainly due to a lack of governmental support (teachers, materials, maintenance of school, etc) and also due to a lack of funds…sometimes the parents of these children would often contribute their time to assist with the lacking in these areas, as it concerns children in general…. πππ …the language they speak is English, but often you would hear a combination of English and Patois (broken French language) some with unknown accents even….and to say that they understand the true meaning of words they use is often misinterpreted by the smile that follows their sentence…π€π…. not sure if they even understand the concept of sentences, but learning is an ongoing process and not everyone is adept at it π …therefore if someone uses a word and you don’t ‘understand’ the meaning π then I always suggest to Google it, so that you understand the meaning….plus, it gives other people less reason to snicker at your honest demise π
…
3. Uneducated adults: Education is for all…personally, I know of a handful maybe even more who have had little or no education whatsoever…age ranges from teenage to mid 20’s to a few as old as grandparents….these few remained uneducated due to parental neglect, lack of funds, etc…and was taught the basics by way of home-schooling or simply nothing but just following in the footsteps of their caretakers…π……Who am I to judge ?? If my friend doesn’t know the meaning of a word, let’s say Alzheimer’s… and they are grown…maybe it’s because they have never had dealings with this before π― …why even my own have asked on numerous occasions, what is this? or what is that? but they have gone through education plus being currently employed… It does not deter from the fact that during their learning period they were never taught the meanings of these words as it never applied to them before… think…common sense…not everyone is versed in everything…π… we may excel at Maths but be horrible in the very same language we speak… Who am I to judge?? π …Uneducated adults may only account for about 3% of village population, but they are still there and tbh seem very content in their lack of knowledge π (yet still… who am I to judge π)
…
Therefore, I urge people to take note of the above, giving thought to the realities of the unknown and unseen….yes they are few but nevertheless when one decides to amuse themselves at the expense of another, then that clearly shows who is really the uneducated one of the two….sorry to say… ππ
And yes…sometimes I act that way…very little times thoπ … so if anyone has been subjected to my demise then π please forgive the comment… thank you
@Yolande – you raise a good point re education as I find that I mispronounce words, having g become deaf at age 13. So the words I heard upto that age are not a problem.
It’s not because I’m not educated, just not educated in school after age 15.
My family and friends have my permission to correct me, however it takes a long time to remember the correction if the particular word is not used often.
I tend to pronounce words as they are written, example orphanage, jalapeno (j is silent). Etc.
On the other hand I have been ridiculed too as the person did not know ov my hearing loss.
It’s a hidden handicap.
i agree with everything you said yolande… technology is still a form of priviledge especially in the developing countries. And just knowing how to use smartphone doesnt equate being good at technology. i know people who can use smartphones but would be completely at loss if sat in front of a computer or laptop. because they never had the exposure. its nothing to be made fun of… and if someone is making fun of it then it shows who is the real uneducated
Hey Yolande, there is a saying that” if you don’t judge then you don’t even judge the people who judge”. Right. Hope you understand. Now coming over to your point, we were nowhere judging anyone, we were just expressing over opinions. There is a difference between being judgmental and having an opinion about some fact/event/ or anything for that matter.
However, whatever you said in your comment is all good. I was expressing my opinion on the issue as I have some personal experience of the same. Being from a village in UP, going to a convent school was a far ahead thing for me. I got admitted to an English medium only in Class 6th. And yes, people made fun of me. They made fun of my pronunciation. But then what, there were students in the same class who supported me(for example; corrected me every time I pronounced incorrectly). They were all city people. So, was their being from a city creating the difference?
The answer is a clear NO. It was just about their own individual self. The vices such as making fun of somebody, ridiculing someone, or bullying someone have to do nothing with a person’s place of birth. Because you can find more bullies even in the villages. I hope you will understand our point of view.
Yoyo… Sorry dear not judging but stating points where others show misconduct in a few comments I have constantly read on this forum…Opinions I understand, but the hate and often atrocious language…sry, I don’t π … and if a person agrees to the inhumane points made here and continue to add fuel to the fire, then I have nothing further to communicate in that area…please respect my point of view…ty π
….
Sorry to hear about your demise π
…
As for the last point, I disagree… I have a few friends from villages who are constantly targeted for being naive to the city/town world…the city/town people talk badly (sometimes very loud) about their clothing, hairstyle, even their accessories…from an old fashioned or outdated pen to a slightly discolored shirt, even a battered shoe π and why?? Just for fun…not nice no…
tbh, I am yet to see a village person shame or degrade a city/town dweller…ππ
….
I would just for one day like to see opinions without shaming…a response without degrading….us trying to understand each others thoughts even if opposed to it…if you understand what I mean… However, my comments are just that, my comments….. that’s all… π
@Yolande, please note that I read the word ‘demise’ as death.
You said to Yoyo “sorry to hear about your demise”.
I suspect you used incorrect word in error.
“Sorry to hear about your demise”. Did you mean what you wrote Yolande.
Yes Yoyo…I mean everything I say…hope ppl understand and don’t take it in the wrong way…if anyone feels uncomfortable by my comments then please accept my humble apology…π I sometimes put too much emotion in my words..sry about that too π
…
btw… Yoyo, I get called by many nicknames…yo, yoyo, yolie, yoohoo, yolandee ππ I think it’s a very friendly name don’t you?? π
What nonsense Imlie wining a cooking competition as best bahu ? TANK UH LOL really irritating serial she is a magician yes the best thing they promoting on TV. These writers need to rethink as to what garbage they are spewing for all and sundry to look at. Imagine I am a foreigner looking at this serial and am feeling so ashamed to know that my grandparents are Indians .Hmm please write something that makes us living abroad proud of who we are and where we come from . Promote positivity.
i watched snippets of the episode on TV… and i noticed that the first thing Radha says about Pallavi when they enter the venue is ‘My DIL is looking the most beautiful amongst all, is she not?’ Like… what is this competition? Deck up and compare who looks most beautiful, she who can cook the best dishes, what else? The competition itself is so regressive, the society aunties look like the stereotypical gossip aunties, Aparna and Radha are also behaving the same way… is there not a single good person in the entire society complex? Why would anyone even want to participate let alone win a toxic event like this? if they wanted to showcase Imlie’s talents they could have shown her taking part in some inter-state college event. She could have won a debate or quiz. i am not saying cooking or such things are not worthy qualities, but that doesnt itself decide the worth of any person. Imlie was supposed to be about how she achieves her dreams despite all hurdles… but now its all about a 19year old being a superowman and shutting people up who speak against her family’s honour. I know the makers will make Imlie win. and the show will go on.
@Dhara exactly I was of the impression that this show was about a young woman finding herself , becoming educated and independent ,however all we see is the emphasis on her getting accepted as a wife and a Bahu not caring whom she hurts . Really silly Show indeed. This show is a grand circus with Imlie being the chief clown and Magician .
Kally…Dhara… thanks for support and understanding ππ
Wait a sec, I never ridiculed Imlie for not being able to USE mobile phones. Really, I know that even today we have people who don’t have access to technology. I just found it weird that she doesn’t know about mobile phones. I mean, her village isn’t shown to that backward or tribal. They’ve sent their son to city for studies, they’ve now dined in restaurents, they even know about telephones. And Imlie has studied till 12th! I might always be wrong, you know. I was just expressing my opinions of what I think. And regarding English, I agree with your points. What I said in my comments is what I seriously believe. Not knowing a word leukemia after topping 12th is strange for ME. But then, I am not really into general knowledge and facts about what is happening in our country even today. I never say that I’m correct. Everyone makes mistakes, you know. Don’t think that I’m judging the character. In fact it is just a character of a fictional show. Please understand that it’s prone to be judged, criticized or praised as well. @Yolande A. K. A. Naina, the points you mentioned in your comments are all very true and even I agree. But don’t judge the commentators for their views on a character. Have you not noticed, I never say anything about the real life people nor make fun of them for not being fluent in English. I know that’s mean. Don’t take the comments too seriously, and please try to understand the purpose behind my words. I never mean to hurt or offend someone.
Yes Tara
You are right. I like your realistic approach towards life. After all we are not living in a utilitarian society where idealism is possible. So I like your every point of view.
And don’t worry, there are people who will give sermons to others for not judging ultimately lending up judging themselves.
They won’t let you speak up your opinion. So it’s better to pay least heed to them.
Also, even making fun of a ‘fictional character’ isn’t ‘cheap’, bcs it has no resemblance to real life people.
@Tara, I understand from where you are coming, I agreed with your comments as I too felt the same, that the village or environment Imlie comes from is not isolated deep in a forest without outside contact.
This is just a fictional drama, we vent our frustrations on how the characters are portrayed, nothing wrong with that and we’re all entitled to our opinions.
Personal attacks are not needed or required.
I love reading the comments, I don’t always agree but so what.
