Imlie gets Mithi ready as a bride. Mithi shies. Adi gets Satyakam ready as a groom. They both insist and take them to a temple. Constable informs inspector about Satyakam’s location. Satyakam asks Adi and Imlie why did they bring him and Mithi to a temple. Imlie says to perform their wedding. Mithi scolds if she has gone mad. Satyakam warns not to scold his daughter. Mithi scolds him. Imlie says she needs both a mother and a father, she is ready to bear their scolding and wants to see them together. Adi asks them to accept their love for each other and marry with god as evidence. Satyakam says she is ready as he wanted to marry her since before and decision will be on Mithi though. Mithi says she is proud of him and never sought his support as she thought people will humiliate an unmarried mother, but he always supported her and her daughter; if he is ready to accept dirt in his life, she will spend rest of her life as his wife. He says she is a kajal and not dirt which he wants to keep in his eyes forever. Adi and Imlie perform Satyakam and Mithi’s wedding. Seeing Satyakam applying sindhoor in Mithi’s hairlines, Adi remembers applying sindhoor in Imlie’s hairline.
Rupali asks Aparna if she spoke to Malini. Aparna says Malini doesn’t want to return to their house, but its not her mistake as Adi never respected her and gave her a wife’s right, don’t know what happens to people when they visit Pagdandiya. Rupali says Adi is relaxed as he knows his family will support Malini, but there is no one to support Imlie and she will be kicked out first. She says its better if Adi and Malini stay separate for sometime. Taiji says returning to maika is not a solution if there is a problem in marriage, they can save the marriage with talks. Rupali asks what is the use of marriage when 2 people are not happy, but Taiji wants to become a typical Indian mother and talk about society and relationship even if 2 people suffocate in that relationship, why is she behind 2 people who don’t want to be together. Taiji says she will not understand as one needs to sacrifice to keep family united and they cannot be selfish. Rupali asks if she means she should have been with her husband even bearing humiliation and shouldn’t have thought about herself. Aparna says they didn’t mean that. Rupali cries that they want Adi and Malini to stay together forcefully, they should give them a chance to think about themselves. Aparna says they gave many changes, its not a question of Adi and Malini now as Imlie has come between them.
After Satyakam and Mithi’s wedding completes, Adi says he will feed them a nice lunch. Imlie says marriage not complete yet as Dadda has to promise her something. Satyakam agrees. Imlie holds Adi’s hand and asks Mithi to hold Satyakam’s hand and repeat that she gives equal right to him, their bonding will be equal and nobody will be superior to each other. Adi repeats that he will give her a right on him, their bonding will be equal and he will not let anyone insult her. Mithi and Satyakam extend hand towards each other when inspector shoots Satyakam’s hand and warns to dare not move or else he will shoot Satyakam, orders his team to arrest Satyakam. Adi asks if he has a warrant. Inspector shows him warrant and asks if he is related to fugitive Satyakam. Imlie says he is not, he is a reporter. Adi introduces himself. Inspector says he knows. Adi says he shouldn’t have shot Satyakam and is breaking rules, he will write an article against him. Inspector says Adi can do whatever he wants, he will get a medal anyways for arresting Satyakam. Satyakam says if inspector arrests him, he will get medal and I will get a jail; he was a farmer and then become a rebel; his daughter Imlie will complete his incomplete task; he asks Mithi to be his wife and never remove her suhagan’s dress even if he is hanged. Inspector yells to stop his drama and drags him towards car. Satyakam looks at Mithi. Inspector gets him into car and leaves. Mithi cries vigorously. Imlie consoles her. Mithi says her fate is really bad and she is always betrayed in life. Imlie says she and Dadda taught her since childhood to fight for her right, then why didn’t she ask her right from her baba 20 years ago. Mithi says even if her baba had accepted her, his family wouldn’t have accepted an illiterate bahu, they wouldn’t be happy and she doesn’t want to make anyone unhappy. Imlie reminisces Aparna telling Malini is well educated and perfect for Adi, her family is well respected in the society.
Precap: Malini returns home with Adi and Imlie. Taiji says at last Adi brought Malini home. Malini says Adi brought Imlie home instead.

Yeah, Actually all the people in the show are quite volatile. All of them are never sure of what they want to do in the life. If the elder people themselves in the show are like a camouflaging chameleon, what can you expect from the young leads..?

The 3rd point, you said Shraddha di, I was pondering upon the same. Actually Tripathi’s are being portrayed as a typical Indian parents. When a woman faces issues in marriage due to indifferences between people, their parents can always force their respective child to give a chance to the marriage or tell them to compromise. Because for a small indifference if marriage dissolves, that would be too shameful. But if women face issues like infidelity, domestic violence or things like compromising career on partner’s insistence or violence, then also if parents force the women to compromise just for the sake of protecting the marriage from dissolving or due to loss of respect in society, it is beyond doing sin…
A woman can bear anything, some even compromise self-respect, but any woman can’t bear infidelity… I guess no woman can and many end up seeking divorce. That’s the reason many men are Pro in hiding extramarital affairs and tehre are men who don’t even care and readily give divorce to the his wife and spoil some other person’s life.
That’s so wrong of Indian parents to force the woman counterpart to adjust always and that too in situation like I said. And also why aren’t many men, not satisfied with one’s wife..?

Maana jaye tho, you are very very very correct. I don’t know why in many shows women leads ko mahaan, self-sacrificing, even devi maa se bhi bahut calm dikhaya jaa raha hai. Infact in mythology, Parvathi devi ko bhi jab krodh aa gaya, tabh unhone kaali maa ka avtaar dharan kiya. But I don’t know why female leads are shown calmer than godess herself.

Infact these words like romance, chemistry, crap shouldn’t be given importance in shows…love is not romance always. But the show viewers are always concerned with who romances whom rather than watching who loves whom without inviting romance or things.

I am simply talking about chemistry which is must upto some extent if the show is mainly a love story. I didn’t even mention romance or love. My comment was regarding Jodha Akbar show. If you watched it, you must know that Ayaan and Saniya were kids when they acted. I don’t think words like romance suit young kids. It was mainly their chemistry, how they acted very well and had a strong onscreen presence. In hindi, ‘unki jodi jammti thi’. Adult actors can be judged for their romance. I m neither talking about not aware about other shows. This show Imlie is also a love story basically, that’s what fans love and watch it for. I personally don’t see any chemistry between this couple.

Umm..Hmm…sorry @Rockstar. Infact the way you placed Imlie and Meethi in the same place of showing sympathy made me get confused on what you were trying to say. Haan, Imlie shouldn’t get sympathy in the view as she is letting others take advantage of herself. And agar Meethi ki baat kare tho she did a sin either knowing!y or unknowingly, getting physical before marriage is not legally correct deed even if the man was married to Anu or not. And for this Meethi is nowhere to be sympathised. She was just being cheated by Dev because she herself gave the chance to Dev to cheat her by getting physical and for believing a unknown man from city.
And haan Imlie should have confronted Aditya bitterly atleast once when Aditya came behind her to Pagdandiya that why he cheated Malini and didn’t listen to her when she said not to marry her. And like one day even he might cheat her for some other woman.
Well as I said show makers tend to make women goddesses and men rakshas, helpless, cheaters, weak and confused. And inke muh lagna bhi bekaar hai.
So let’s just enjoy direction, acting and screenplay of the show..
Aditiya lecturing police about breaking rules haha, the man who himself broke all rules of marriage laws and decency is threatening police. The honest reporter should first report his own bigamy and cheat before writing about anyone else.
I don’t get mithi at all, why on earth she would get intimate with a stranger without marriage. No village women is naive enough to be like this. In fact villagers are extremely cautious of outsiders. He could have been a perv and infect her with STDs or a psycho who could have killed her the next morning. She never thought to check on his life and inform he has a daughter he needs to be responsible for. These kind of characters are not pitiful at all. They destroy their own life and drag down everyone else. When confronted sheds some crocodile tears and acts as sacrificing devi. I find anu so much better than these chameleon characters at least she doesn’t give in and then self-pity herself. She is consistent with her personality and whatever she is just show is face-to-face to everyone.

Actually many village women are not too naive but too much intelligent-careless people. It is just of their carelessness that they ruin their own lives and don’t agree themselves to be responsible for their acts. They just tend to blame the man. The thing I am saying is quite true. Infact infidelity, or extramarital affair rate is higher in any village then in the city. Even many married women get into extramarital affairs….and if I talk about many married men, just leave it, they are among the first people who are spoilt beyond remedy from being drunkard to getting into extramarital affairs.
Many people nowadays are getting more and more careless in this matter.
I don’t know about Meethi but from my own experience, in some villages I went to including my village to where my father belongs to, I have seen both village men and women flaunting about their extramarital affairs behind the back of their wives or husbands. Only in this Pagdandiya, women are insulting Meethi…
I don’t mean that women are not insulted for these acts in villages but many take even the insult as pride… that’s to say. Some women are somewhat like Meethi who can’t take insult as pride but bother about it throughout their lives.
Coming back to your point, the points you cited is actually right and that rural women are not too naive to be cheated and trusting others.
@Rock Star I couldn’t agree more. I am irritated how mithi and imlie aren’t holding the sasur-jamai duo accountable. Even malini is disappointing me, she is basically serving a cake in a silver plate in form of divorce. This is exactly what he wanted and is getting it without effort. Divorce is not enough, after divorce he will be living happily with his new toy while she will be stigmatised and discriminated for being a divorced women. He needs to be exposed publicly and prosecuted for bigamy. Nothing would be more entertaining than anu, mithi, malini, imlie joining hands to destroy dev and aditiya haha
@Shriharshita i had no idea village women are so bold. And people says cities women or abroad living women are fast and audacious lol. Villagers are 100 steps ahead of everyone 😆. These villagers really needs some support system and education. It is really dangerous to have relations here and there without protection.
This show could have focused on this, like how imlie brings awareness and education into remote areas. She could have introduced laws and rules that protect women from forced marriage and limit extra marital affair. It would have been really empowering to see how she breaks free from a forced life and give freedom and knowledge to others. And in the process falls in love with a nice guy. But no, same disgusting formula sisters sharing same husband and suffering while the creep roam around guilt-free.
@Bani. Bare in mind Aditya knows Imilie is Malini’s half sister and he has still not shown any remorse or respect for this relationship. He is now officially a damad of a criminal family from Imilie’s side (SK) and cheater from Malini side (Dev).

I know lots of people don’t like new promo but for once I liked it. Imlie is right before clearing the whole mess they have created of Malini life, They can not be together can not live happily. They have wronged Malini and they need to pay for all the pain they have brought to Malini and families. Work on their mistakes and relationships, and earn forgiveness and acceptance from everyone then only they can be truly together. If their love is strong enough to overcome this then I have all the best wishes to them.
I don’t understand Aditya. He brags about being a big reporter and threatened to make a big story of the situation, etc. Like he was threatening the police officer over a criminal’s arrest. So where was this patrakari when he was forcefully married to Imilie ?? Where was his patrakari when he was buried alive?? What has Imilie done to this man called Aditya? He has lost all logic. @Bani, had your idea been applied in the show, it would have been great to watch. But just as you said, the same disgusting formula of creating a triangular love story. Had it been a triangular love story, it would still have been better, but nah…show makers do want to go beyond it, “The triangular marriage”.
Imlie can surely introduce laws to forbid forced marriages from happening but the second thing you said about “Minimising extra marital affairs” is impossible. Jab takh ek insaan ko khud se in cheezon par control nahi aata, until then nothing is possible. Amendment or minimising this issue tho dhoor ki baat hai.
Generally, yes, any person living in city strictly believes that city culture is so flourishing and spoilt and think that villagers are too backward people in any aspect. But the thing is that in terms of cheating, gambling, bigamy, extramarital affairs, villagers are too fast. Without even being mordern in looks, many rural women are so characterless. It is infact my own insult to say that (except my family from my maternal grandma and grandpa and paternal grandma and grandpa generation to my present generation) , many of my other relatives living in village are drunkards, some are even characterless including women who are not committed to their respective husband’s. And one thing I must say is many men in villagers are only drunkards but they do not cheat their wives, but women loghon ne wo seema bhi lang di.
And this is not the case of my village only. I have payed a visit to many villages during vacation in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh too. I have seen that in these matters, no village is an exception. Perhaps your village too, but you won’t know until you get mixed into them and converse with them. The degree of these acts will be more or less the same in villages. Even there are many women or men who are very loyal to their life partners.
Generally, if I go to villages from that moment onwards, I and my family avoid to talk to villagers much and the thing I only like about villages is farming, the peaceful life, the greenery. I like farming too. That’s the interest I inherited from my father. It’s my belief that whatever heights upto one reaches, it does not matter but its a must to know how is farming done to know the value of food. Avoiding the society due to these cheating, extramarital affairs or drunkard people is also very difficult. After all we have to live in this world’s so called society, right.
I think more than the so called extra-marital affairs, issues like molestation, rape, these inhumane and barbarous acts should be hanged at the stake. And the doers should not simply die by being hanged on the stake but tortured and killed. In this aspect, I have immense respect for Saudi Arabian government, for killing even rapists to dangerous thieves by torturing them and there is a Street display too. Everyone who pass by the street has to watch these inhumane people being killed. That’s the real punishment any rapists or inhuman people deserve.

I am damn sure that most of you ( including me)are at least representing a upper middle class or super rich category. Or have a luxurious life due to the good governance of your state . Are you people still believe that 130cr of Indian population have enjoying equal privileges. Please criticise the creative elements. Stop bashing the characters based on background especially when they represent minority groups. It is well known that even in up and Haryana there still exists khap panchayats and all. Basically this story also starts by the punishment given to 2 persons by such a barbaric community. I am damn sure that makers will not touch into that much deep into issues they are just beating around the bushes of love triangle. Some situations really exists are beyond your imagination. so don’t put blame on women like meethi. She is representing a un married mother due to the exploitation. Makers are created the character as flawed but actually she represents the victims from tribal communities who is going through same pain. So please don’t make harsh comments based on class of character
Just as the city has its own faults with the system, even the village has. Here the matter isn’t about village or city but acts like cheating, bigamy, extra-marital affairs. Here we use terms like village because Meethi belongs to a village. And also this Pagdandia village is a fictious village, so there is no point of us mocking about any existing real village. See either you agree or not, in terms of drinking alcohol or engaging into extra marital affairs, or dictatorship of panchayat at some places, villages are quite ahead of city. This is not just an assumption for me but a personal experience as I had been to many villages so far.
Second thing is that class and character are never equal. Maybe you just feel that we all over here connecting these two things. We all say that just as Dev has been characterless same is the case of Meethi when she committed the mistake. Here, we also say that Dev is more characterless than Meethi. So, we are saying that a high class person is more characterless than low class woman. So here we indicate that irrespective of class, many are characterless. Where do you find the harsh comments linking class with character…there might be some people who are doing so, but maximum of the people don’t biase.

@Bani with respect to awareness of forced marriages I was of the same impression that may be the story would have shown Imlie fighting for women’s rights and their ability to choose whom they want as a life partner. Instead we are seeing her as accepting this fate despite her being portrayed as intelligent. I cannot comprehend the use of SITA Maiya’s name in all this drama. If rape is a serious crime then forced marriage is just as serious crime .
