Imlie: Megha Chakraborty, Karan Vohra, and Seerat Kapoor on being the new faces of the show
TV show Imlie is headed for a 15-year leap. The lead actors Fahmaan Khan and Sumbul Touqeer have bid farewell to the show paving way for the new faces to lead the story.
Megha Chakraborty, Karan Vohra, and Seerat Kapoor will now be the new faces of the show where Megha will essay the role of Imlie and Aryan’s daughter, while Seerat will play the grown-up Cheeni and Karan Vohra will be the new male lead.
For the unversed, Karan Vohra and Megha Chakraborty have shared the screen space earlier as well where they were paired together in ‘Krishna Chalo London’, three years ago.
Megha talked about it during a recent interview and said, “It is a huge challenge playing Imlie because Sumbul is a great actor and she has put forward a great task for us to achieve.”
Karan also added to the conversation and said, “I kept away from TV for 3 years and moved back to Delhi because I wanted to focus on the web. I do agree that it is a mammoth task to carry forward the story in an existing show and many times after the leap a show goes off air in a few months due to low viewership, but I will try my best.”
Seerat also shared, “The story will evolve gradually, so people should not jump to conclusions about whether the show will work or not. Let’s be positive and give our best.”
