Present day… morning 7
A girl is shown waking up unwantedly. She is an insomniac so she can never sleep at night, but when the time comes for her to wake up, she can barely even open her eyes.
ANIKA :- (to herself) uth jaa anika, late hogayi toh phir se dracula tera khoon choosne lag jaegi.
Her mother was no less than a dracula. though she was anika’s real mother, she never had that motherly love for her, infact somewhere in the corner of her heart she hated anika. she could never see anika happy, she always took away all her happiness, whether it was hockey, or music or even her friends. she snatched everything from her. her mum doesn’t even let her to talk to her friends or meet them, with whom she spent 8 years of her life, who taught her to smile and to live life. no one knows the reason why she does this, not even her mom herself.
While anika was fighting with herself to get up from the bed she heard something from the living room.
ANIKA :- dont tell me ki inn dono ne dobara jhagadna shuru kar diya. ek din bhi kya yeh chain se nahi jee sakte.
This was something she hated the most. ever since she was born she only saw her parent’s fighting, and trying to kill each other.
She didn’t pay attention to them and got ready for her school. while leaving her room, her mom dashed in.
ANIKA’S MOM :- beta jaate time apne papa ko bol ki tujhe kapde khareedne hai isiliye 5000 rs. chahiye.
ANI – par mujhe toh kapde nahi khareedne.
MOM – mujhe khareedna hai par woh itne paise mujhe nahi denge, toh isiliye tu aise hi bol.
ANI – mom aap jaante hai na abhi thoda financial problem hai toh itne paise woh kaise denge, aapne waise bhi last week hi toh shopping ki thi, yeh jhooth pachaas baar bol chuki hu main, iss chakkar mein maine apne liye ek saal se kuch nahi khareeda. main dad se aur jhooth nahi bolna chahti, i am sorry.
MOM – mera banaya hua khana kha ke mujhe hi mana kar rahi hai. agar main nahi hoti toh tera yeh baap kisi sadak par phek deta tujhe. tere liye main yaha reheti hun aur tu mere liye itna nahi kar sakti, tujh jaisi nalayak ko paida karke maine bohot badi galati kar di, tera dad tere liye pyaara hai na, unhi ko bol breakfast dene tujhe.
she leaves with an upset anika behind.
her mom’s words always hurted her but she didn’t cry and left the house without even looking at her dad who didn’t even care about his daughter.
all the while she thought that her mother was right. if she and her selfish needs weren’t there then she would have left to her native place leaving anika and her elder sister with a man who doesn’t care about anything other than himself.
AT SCHOOL…. library….
ANI : – palak yaar not again, tu sab jaan ne ke baad bhi mujhse yeh kyu bol rahi hai.
PALAK : – sab jaanti hun isiliye bol rahi hun, yaar mujhe teri fikar hai, main tujhe aise nahi dekh sakti. veer bohot achha ladka hai, he really likes you phir tu haan kyu nahi bol rahi, kab tak bhala uss ladke ke liye aasu bahati rahegi jisse teri inn aasuon se koi farak hi nahi padhta. kyu tu uske liye abhi bhi apni life ki band baja rahi hai.
ANI :- dekh palak, peheli baat, main uski jagah apne life mein kisi aur ko nahi de sakti, second, main kisi pe bharosa nahi kar sakti. kisi se dosti karte waqt bhi sau baar sochna padhta hai mujhe, ki kahi dobara koi mujhe shivaay ki tarah sirf apne matlab ke liye dost na bana le. and the last thing, veer mujhe sirf like karta hai aur woh bhi timepass wala, dekhlena thode time baad woh kisi aur ko propose karta hua dikhayi dega.
PALAK :- main teri baatein kabhi nahi samajh paungi.
ANI :- thats Because tu abhi iske liye choti hai.
( palak is a student of 9th, and anika’s only friend in this new school of hers. anika joined this school in her 11th and now she is in her 12th)
Anika’s school has a very huge scarcity of girls. though it is one of the top most school in mumbai, yet there r limited students, because it is located near a village, and people in that village cannot afford this school. the only people over here are filled with so much attitude of being rich that anika hates them to the core. palak, though is younger than anika, always supported her whenever she needed a shoulder to cry. ever since leaving her previous school and friends, palak was the only person with whom anika was free to talk to and could share everything with.
Their conversation was stopped by two boys of anika’s class.
RAGHAV : – hey ani, kya kar rahi hai. woh book kaunsa hai, library ka book toh nahi lagta ( pointing towards her personal diary ) dikha toh kya hai.
he tried to snatch the book, but she managed to save it, but not for long, the second guy, arjun took it and gave to raghav.
ANIKA :- raghav book de, please usse khol mat.
But it was too late.
RAGHAV :- ” i saw that you were perfect and i loved you, then i saw that you were not perfect and i loved you even more ……”.
it was loud enough for the entire library to hear. everyone present over there burst into laughter. anika got teary eyed, not because they laughed, because she didnt expect raghav amd arjun to do that. she grabed her diary and left the library. arjun raghav n palak noticed her eyes. they ran behind her. they reached their class room.
ARJUN :- hey tu ro mat yaar, humne intentionally nahi kiya. hume nahi pata tha ki it was ur personal diary. really sorry yaar.
RAGHAV :- am sorry ani, mujhe nahi pata tha, sorry yaar, tu please ro mat.
ANIKA :- guys am fine, main nahi ro rahi tum jao, its ok, tumhe pata nahi tha.
Arjun and raghav left after few more apologies. ( even those two are anika’s friends, not close friends but they are really sweet and kind towards her unlike the rest)
PALAK :- tune unhe kuch nahi kaha
ANI :- chodh yaar unhe nahi pata tha. tu bhi jaa, tere class ka time ho gaya.
Palak knew she wanted to be alone so she silently left.
anika sat near the window recalling her past. after half an hour arjun came back.
ARJUN :- ani i know tune uss diary mein kuch aisa likha hai jo shayad you don’t want anyone to know, isiliye u reacted like that. pata nahi kyu mujhe thodi curiosity ho rahi hai, i know am not supposed to ask but can i know woh lines jo tumne start mein likha tha woh kiske liye tha….??
ANI :- jis insaan se main pyaar karti hun uske liye…… Shivaay ke liye…..
ARJUN :- can i know kya hua tha tere past mein…. if u don’t mind….
ANIKA :- smiles and says….. it all started 6 years back…
