The promo for Sony’s upcoming show Kaamna is out now. The promo suggests that the show is based on the story of a family where the wife (essayed by Channi Sharma) believes in the power of money and has the desire to be rich while her husband (essayed by Abhishek Rawat) is a person who believes in simple living.
In the promo, Chandani can be seen narrating the benefits of being rich while the husband says that money can’t buy happiness. Now interestingly this setup reminds me of a movie Judaai featuring Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, and Urmila. The movie had a similar track where the wife inspires to be rich while the husband believed in the values of simple living and high thinking.

Now it will be interesting to see if a character is also introduced similar to that of Urmila’s role in the movie. For the unversed, Urmila played the role of a young rich girl who falls in love with Anil Kapoor and gives Sridevi her money in exchange to marry her husband.
