Despite being away from the screen for some time, Ishita Dutta has kept her fans engaged through social media, sharing delightful moments from her new phase of life. The actress joined the motherhood club in July last year and has been sharing content about her bond with her baby boy, Vaayu, and the various facets of being a mother.
Recently, Ishita took a brief work trip, leaving her little one at home. She later opened up about experiencing mom guilt. In a story on her official Instagram handle, Ishita shed light on this common issue.
The Instagram story features a selfie of Ishita looking radiant in a no-makeup look and casual outfit. Alongside the photo, she wrote a heartfelt note about her feelings.
The Drishyam actress shared, “Travelling for work hits different now. Happy to be back doing what I love the most but leaving my baby home makes me so sad. Not to mention the mom’s guilt which seems to be living rent-free in my head, my heart. Happiness is knowing it’s a very short trip and I will have him in my arms soon. #momslifebelike.”
In addition to discussing mom guilt, Ishita has also opened up about her battle with postnatal depression. She shared that she experienced severe postpartum depression, saying, “I would cry for hours not knowing what happened. Additionally, I used to stress out due to Vaayu’s colic issue. So, sab mil milake kafi halat kharab ho gayi thi.”
The 33-year-old actress emphasized the importance of support while dealing with this condition and credited her family for helping her through it.
Ishita Dutta began her career in the entertainment industry with the South Indian film Chanakyudu. She later transitioned to television, starring in shows such as Ek Ghar Banaunga, Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar, Kaun Hai? Ek Naya Adhyay, and Bepanah Pyaar, among others.
She made her Bollywood debut alongside Ajay Devgn in the 2015 film Drishyam and also appeared in its 2022 sequel.
On the personal front, Ishita is married to actor Vatsal Sheth. The couple welcomed their baby boy, Vaayu, on July 19, 2023.
