Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 5th May 2021 Written Episode Update: Sara traps Vansh

Hi all! I hope all is well. Today’s episode was again pleasant, but we had to make do with the one (4 minute) RIansh segment that they gave us haha. Although the rest of the episode was dedicated to both Vyom and Sara plotting against Vansh and RIddhima, respectively, we did see an interesting side to our classic, soft target Aryan… Was he willing to do a small task for Vyom, which would mean him betraying Vansh…Yes, but, he wasn’t motivated by money or revenge, but rather to ensure Siya’s safety from Vyom…..if Vyom had the old Siya “captive,” perhaps I would have cared more about her, but honestly I don’t given that Siya 2.0 is horrible…However, it was nice to see that Aryan has a beating heart after all! Also, though I was slightly irritated or bored, since so much of the episode was dedicated to another atypical way that Sarah was planning to kill Vansh, I know that Sarah’s story arc will be short, so it made sense that she got some limelight. We may not get many or any important revelations this week, but I have a sneaking suspicion, we’ll at least find out why Sarah is harboring such an immense grudge against her former bestie Riddhima! Let’s see, but as always, I’m excited. Now on to the episode:
1. The RIansh scene: Okay, now this scene was a perfect blend between the innocent touch and depth of emotion that ITV produces with the slight cheekiness that the OTT platform allows. As Vansh was getting ready for his meeting, RIddhima walked out of the bathroom in her favorite pink/black vacation sari lol….she had worn the same sari during their snowy night in Manali and we know how romantic that evening was, except for Vansh being in mute mode lol. Also, though it seemed strange seeing RIddhu in a sari after her more modern fashion displays recently, it was still a nice look and I knew it would signal a romantic moment because Vansh loves his woman in a sari lol. In any case, Vansh then questioned RIddu about why she had asked him to go to the doctor after he had consumed the drink, but she said she was just worried as Gayu has the habit of pulling strange pranks….girl, I really think it’s time that you tell Vansh the truth…he’ll throw the girl out of the hotel in a second! When he pressed the matter further, RIddhima distracted him in the best way she knew how…asking him how she looked and initiating some romance….she knows her hubby so well! When Vansh asked her what her intentions were as they didn’t seem innocent, while scanning her from head to toe, she replied that, “my intention is to trap you in my veil/end of my sari,” Then, she enveloped him in her circle (vyom style lol) by tucking the end of her sari into his pants and then walking around him, so he couldn’t leave her grasp. However, as she was walking around him, her sari slipped revealing her bare shoulder and we know that this was all that was needed to activate the naughtiness in Vansh, while RIddhima flashed an innocent look….he said, “No, no RIddhima, you want to tie me up with your veil/end of your sari, so you need to make it a little tighter….why don’t you do this, make another round. Well, if my wife wants to tie me with her veil/sari end then there should be some benefit. What did you think, that you would tie me up with your veil/end of your sari, and you wouldn’t get tied to me too”….oh that naughty Vansh! Also, it’s funny that in the ITV version, Vansh was always tying the sari around RIddhima (as you do lol), but as everything is the opposite in the OTT version, here RIddhima was draping the sari around Vansh haha! After her little innocent move to get Vansh to stay failed, she asked Vansh if it was necessary for him to go and requested him to stay back with an emotional and sweet look on her face. Never being one to heed RIddhima’s warnings or requests to stay back from a deal (boy RIddhima is always right when she senses danger, so why don’t you listen to her for once), Vansh just planted a sweet kiss on her cheek. He then placed his big hands on her small face and calmed her down by saying that this was just his work and that he would be back in time for their dinner date. He then promised to definitely be extra attentive of his surroundings during his meeting and said “definitely” in the most adorable way as if he were cheering up/consoling a little child! He then asked RIddhima if she was happy/satisfied, but when she still had a look of concern on her face, he reiterated that, “ you have to take care of yourself and be less stressed, for me, for yourself, and even for this mister (Dottu) (while placing his hand on her stomach),” after which he planted a loving and reassuring kiss on her forehead…..Although I loved Vansh’s words, I found it funny that he said RIddhima had to be less stressed “even” for this mister (Dottu) (“in janab ke liye bhi”)….He should have said that she should be less stressed “especially” for Dottu….”in janab ke liye hi”….but as always our Dottu is just an afterthought haha, but I digress lol! They then hugged, and he ran his hands down her hair to her face, and put his finger on her chin and said, “I’ll see you for dinner tonight…look pretty.” He then walked away, blew her a kiss, and closed the door behind him….the way the scene was staged, it signaled his impending demise, but as we all know, Vansh wouldn’t die so easily. RIddhima, knowing that she had failed to keep Vansh from leaving, resolved to “do what she needed to do” in order to save her husband….let’s just hope that she doesn’t harm herself or Dottu in the process! In any case, I wasn’t planning on writing this much, but this was four minutes of pure bliss right here lol.
2. The Vangre scene: Did I see correctly…did Vansh and Angre just play catch with a gun lol….who does that? In any case, Angre informed Vansh that their business partner (Mr. Augustine D’Costa’s) flight was delayed and that would change the timing of their deal…let’s see how this impacts Vyom’s plan for the better or worse! In any case, Angre said that he didn’t foresee any interruptions or threats to their plan…boy clearly you’re Black Mamba/working with Vyom or you’re not doing your job. As the deal was delayed, Vansh said he would go for a run and then to the sauna….we all know that this would give Sarah the perfect opportunity to plan her next attack!
3. The Vyom Hotel scene: Okay, for a split second, when I saw a mystery man entering the hotel and extending his hairy arms so that the guard could check his temperature, I got excited thinking it was Kabir as Kabir too had hairy arms. But alas, my dreams were dashed and it was just Vyom…shuniya/0. In any case, Vyom tried sweet talking the receptionist for a room near Augustin D’Costa (the room where Vansh’s deal would happen), though I don’t think the girl was really impressed by him…she was just doing her job haha! In any case, he found a room right in front of “Mr. D’costa” and then made his way to the pool to intimidate and annoy our classic soft target, Aryan….honestly, the boy can’t catch a break…he has to spend his time with Dadi and Ishani on vacation (the former of which threw a fork at him), RIddhima spies on him all the time, and here Vyom is blackmailing him lol. I laughed when Vyom, in a masked face, tore up Aryan’s newspaper and the latter said, “do you know who I am, I’m Aryan Rai SInghania, the owner of this property”….haha, try saying that in front of Vansh lol! And after Vyom failed to intimidate Dadi and RIddhima, he picked on the weakest link, Aryan….he held a blade against his throat (causing him to even bleed a bit) and then asked him to get the master key to the hotel. Surprisingly, Aryan wasn’t willing to help Vyom even for 200 crores rupees or for 50% of the VR empire out of fear of Vansh (since when did Aryan get so scared of Vansh…the boy literally never has harmed any of his family members, including Kabir, despite all of their funny business)! In any case, when Vyom saw that he couldn’t sway Aryan with his words, he had to stoop even lower and remind him that Siya was still in his captivity (though I don’t think Siya is actually with him..perhaps Aryan was made a fool of yet again)….In a surprising turn of events, Aryan switched into his protective, big brother mode and genuinely seemed concerned for Siya at the mention of her name….he finally consented to helping Vyom as long as nothing were to happen to Siya! Honestly, with each passing episode in Goa, I’m starting to understand Aryan’s POV a bit more….at least he has a beating heart in that he genuinely cares for Siya (whom I think everyone in the family loves, with the exception of Anupriya…although Siya 2.0 is intolerable). Plus, he’s constantly spied upon and blamed for conspiring against the family by RIddhima (though I can’t completely blame her because the boy’s shady), he’s not respected by Dadi at all (the lady threw a fork at him…though it was hilarious), and he doesn’t even have a stake in the business along with his other cousins, despite being a Rai Singhania (everything belongs to Vansh…though Vansh is probably the only one capable of managing the business anyways). I’m not saying that I like Aryan’s character any more or less than I already did, but I think his resentment towards RIansh and general rebellious attitude is much more understandable to me now….though it doesn’t erase or justify all the horrible things that he did to RIansh in the past! In any case, Aryan’s “task” was simple, he had to go to the main office, find the master key to the hotel, and slip it under the door of Vyom’s room….Aryan accomplished it with ease, though the manager/another employee saw him, but the former just told him to do his job…..for some reason, if Vansh’s plan goes awry, I’m sure Aryan will be blamed for it (the poor thing), because if this task was so simple, Vyom could have just done it himself. As a side note, I found it funny how they didn’t even take down the paper signs in the office saying “Novotel”…so much for VR Hotel and Residences lol.
4. Riddhima locks Gayu in the bathroom: Though RIddhima tried to lock Gayu in the bathroom, I knew the girl would get out…she’s a trained assassin after all, so picking a lock should be child’s play for her. However, I’m happy Gayu didn’t confront Riddhima in the bedroom right then and there, otherwise it would have been bye bye Baby Dottu today lol.
5. The Vansh sauna scene: Though I was really uninterested in seeing yet another way that Sarah was trying to murder Vansh, I was instantly captivated by how beautiful Vansh looked shirtless and relaxed with his eyes closed in the sauna (I love it when he’s at peace…though I don’t want him to “Rest in Peace” lol bad joke)! In any case, Sarah plan’s was simple too…after escaping from the bathroom with the help of a Swiss Army knife, she followed Vansh to the sauna, locked him in it, and then turned up the temperature, so that he would suffocate….she even revealed that she had mixed something in Vansh’s alcohol that would make him dehydrated (if I heard correctly)…so I suppose the drink scene wasn’t just a prank! In any case, as much as Sarah’s backstory is interesting, the way Sarah devolved into her monologue about how she would exact her revenge against RIddhima and was planning to kill Vansh in a very intricate manner, while saying “Vansh will die a very painful death” and laughing like a cartoon villain, all seemed a little strange to me haha!
6. Precap: As implied in the precap, tomorrow’s episode should be very emotional and perhaps RIddhima will finally tell Vansh about Sarah….girl, if at this point you don’t, I have no words…you clearly can’t protect Vansh by yourself! The precap features Vansh realizing that he’s locked in the sauna and gasping for air, as Sarah walks away with a sense of assuredness that she succeeded in her mission. However, as RIddhima is wandering through the hotel, presumably looking for Vansh, she finally makes her way to the sauna and realizes that Vansh is inside….but will she be able to save him in time?…I’m sure we all know the answer to this one!
7. Final comments: Okay, as always, I wrote more than I had intended to for a rather uneventful episode. Though, I would have preferred that the episode focus less on Vyom and Sarah, since I believe that Sarah’s story arc will only continue for a few more episodes, it makes sense that she was featured more in today’s episode. I hope we get to know who was her lover by the end of the week and what exactly turned her against Riddhima. Plus, it would be interesting to see Sarah’s and Vyom’s interaction now that they are in the same hotel….if Black Mamba supposedly knows both of them, do the two villains know each other as well?…Let’s hope that they don’t team up! Additionally, now that Vyom has booked a stay at VR Hotel and Residencies, it will be interesting to see how he will plot against Vansh as well. Let’s see what happens, but as always, I’m excited about what’s to come! TIll next time!
