Hi friends, as u all know that Leenesh has quitted Ishqbaaz and Rudra track will end in the show. I know it’s really disappointing and sad news for us, especially OBros fans. I don’t know what the makers will do with the character of Rudra. What’s more unfortunate is CVs never focused on him or his love story, when he was actually supposed to be a lead. OBros were over long ago, and now they are officially over with one brother leaving the show. Honestly, the show never really focused on OBros bonding which was actually supposed to be “ek Kahani ke teen hisse”. IB always focused more Shivika and DBO is focusing on Rikara along with Swetlana torture. Ishkara and Rumya never got their due and remained incomplete love stories. I hope Gul never gives such fake promises, coz it hurts to get cheated. The show which I loved once has now nothing more than crap. So many stupid illogical tracks with so many bloopers, so much negativity and with vamps dominating screen space more than leads. Okay, enough of my rant. . So as the show never focused on OBros bonding, I thought of writing an FF on OBros, with some more focus on Rudra coz we are not going to get them anymore. This FF will be short and will not have many chapters.
Intro: This FF is based on the current track of IB and DBO, which includes Tej and Jhanvi’s divorce drama.
Scene 1(Oberoi mansion): Tej is shouting at Jhanvi in his room. Jhanvi is crying. Om and Rudra enter hearing the noise. Om sees Jhanvi crying and gets angry.
Om(angry): Mr Oberoi….how dare u shout at my mom??? She’s not your slave.
Tej(arrogantly): Even I don’t want a slave like her….I just want to get rid this woman. (Jhanvi sulks hearing this)
Om(angry): Mr Oberoi…how many times do I have to tell u??? This marriage is not over, until my mom says it’s over.
Tej(angry): U are know one to take decisions of my life…It’s my life!!! I’ll decide who stays and who leaves.
Jhanvi(crying): Tej!!! Why are you doing this to me??? We can work on our marriage…we can work on our relationship…we can save our marriage…breaking our relations will only give pain to us our children.
Tej(smirking): Oh My God!!! I can’t believe it!!! I’ve never seen such a shameless woman like u…There is no relationship or marriage left between us Jhanvi…U are asking me, why I’m doing this to u??? Should I tell your TRUTH to your children, who love u so much??? (Jhanvi gets panicked)
Om(shouting in anger): Mr Oberoi….just shut up!!!!
Rudra: Truth?? What are u talking about Papa???
Tej(grinning): Truth!!! Bitter truth!!! Which will be hard for you all to digest.
Shivaye(entering the room): What’s happening here???
All turn and look at Shivaye.
Shivaye: Om, Rudra, Bade papa, Badi maa….what’s going on???
Tej: Oh…It’s good that u are also here Shivaye….I was going to tell a dark secret of Jhanvi.
Jhanvi(fearing): Tej…no!!!
Tej: Why no?? Let them know the truth….It was my mistake that I kept this secret in my heart for so long, just coz of the reputation of the Oberoi family… but not anymore….Let the whole world know your real face now.
Om(suspiciously): Mr Oberoi…what are u talking about???
Tej(arrogantly): U all think that I’m an Unfaithful husband na, who cheated Jhanvi by having an affair with Swetlana….but do you know why I had an affair with Swetlana??? It’s bcoz your mom cheated me by sleeping with another man.
Om(gets angry and almost pounces at Tej, shouting at him): Mr Oberoi!!! ( Shivaye and Rudra hold and stop him from attacking Tej.) Mr Oberoi…I’ll kill u…how dare u even say that about my mom….how dare u put such an allegation on my mom’s character???
Tej(arrogantly): If u don’t believe me…then ask your mom yourself.
Om(furiously): Even in my wildest dreams, I can’t think of my mom doing something like this.(Om again almost pounces at Tej, but Shivaye and Om stop him)
Shivaye: Om….plz control yourself.(Shivaye hugs Om)…control yourself.
(Jhanvi bursts in tears seeing all this)
Rudra: Papa…I don’t believe u….mom can never do this.
Shivaye: yeah bade papa….I can never believe such allegations on badi mom.
Tej(arrogantly): huh…Why don’t you yourself tell the truth Jhanvi??? For how long will keep this guilt inside u??? Tell them… that it was u who cheated me first…it was u who had an affair with a guy and u slept with him.
Om(shouts in angry): Mr Oberoi!!!! (Om slaps Tej in anger..Everyone gets shocked seeing this…Tej was yet to recover from the shock, when Om grabs his collar…Shivaye and Rudra try to stop Om)
Shivaye: Om….plz…leave him.
Om: Mr Oberoi…I’ll not hear anything about my mom, from your dirty mouth.
Shivaye: Om…just leave him.
Shivaye and Rudra take Om away from Tej….Tej gets furious.
Tej(furiously): How dare u slap me??? HOW DARE U SLAP ME???
Om(furiously): Mr Oberoi, HOW DARE U??? don’t even think again of saying something about my mom, or I will kill u!!!
Tej(shouts at Jhanvi): Why don’t u tell them the truth??? For how long will u keep this guilt inside u??? If u have any shame, left…then tell him the truth.
Tears roll out of Jhanvi’s eyes and she cries.
Rudra: Mom…plz don’t cry…We believe You….We can’t even think in our dreams, that u can cheat dad. (Jhanvi looks at OmRu and starts crying more loudly..Rudra goes and hugs Jhanvi…Jhanvi stops crying)
Tej: Oh God!!! So much of emotional drama.
Om(furiously): Mr Oberoi…..
Jhanvi: Om…don’t say anything to Tej.
Om: But mom….
Jhanvi: Om….Tej is right!!!
Om: right?? What…what are u saying???
Jhanvi: Om..Rudra…time has come to tell u both the truth….yes… it’s true…I…I cheated Tej.
Shivaye, Om and Rudra get shocked hearing this
Shivaye: Badi maa…what are you saying???
Rudra: Mom……( Om was just looking at Jhanvi silently, without saying a word, with a shocked expression on his face)
Jhanvi(busting into tears): Yes, I cheated Tej (Jhanvi starts crying, Tej grins)…I broke the trust of Tej…I had an extra marital affair.
Om( goes to Jhanvi and holds her by her shoulders): Tell me this is not true….tell me this is a lie…TELL ME !!!
Jhanvi looks at Om with tears in her eyes and guilt on her face.
Jhanvi(Caressing Om’s cheeks): I’m sorry Om…(Jhanvi closes her eyes, her head goes down in guilt and more tears roll down on her cheeks)
Om removes Jhanvi’s hands from his cheeks in anger and gives a disgusted look to Jhanvi without saying anything.
Shivaye: Om….
Jhanvi breaks down from outside and inside seeing hatred on Om’s face for her.
Jhanvi(holds Om’s hands and cries): Om…Om….plz listen to me….I know I did wrong….and I feel guilty about it….(Om removes jhanvi’s hand and was about to leave from there)
Tej: Where are u going Om???
Om(turning back to Tej): Now there is nothing left to hear.
Tej: oh of course there is left to here…..Jhanvi only told u the half truth…I’ll tell u all the complete truth….I would have never came to know to Jhanvi’s extra-marital affair if she herself wouldn’t have told me out of guilt…Yes, she herself told me the truth…and it was then, when our marriage hit the rocks….Jhanvi was guilty that she cheated on me and she herself told me the truth, but it was not enough for me to forgive her. So I started an affair with Swetlana, to take revenge from her…to tell her that how it feels to know your partner cheating on u….but that’s not it….There is another dirty secret of Jhanvi….She has an illegitimate child from her extra marital affair (Shivaye, Om and Rudra get double shock hearing this revelation)…and that illegitimate child…. is non other than…. RUDRA!!!!!
ShivOmRu get astound hearing this.
Shivaye(shocked): what???
Rudra: Pa…papa
Tej(arrogantly): I’m not your Papa…U are nothing to me Rudra…you are bad blood….dirty blood of a person whom I don’t even know.
Om(furiously): MR OBEROI…U can’t talk talk to Rudra like this!!!
Tej: I can do, whatever I want to do now…no one can stop me….The fact is Rudra is not my son…he is not an Oberoi….Jhanvi told me about her extra-marital affair and Rudra’s illegitimacy, when he was 15 years old. His biological father never cared about Rudra and that’s why Jhanvi used my name, to give it to his son…..15 years!!! For 15 long years Jhanvi hid this truth from me, and when she told me the truth, all my love for her and Rudra vanished in a flip of a second. I tried hard to forgive Jhanvi and accept Rudra, but as Shivaye says…dirty blood is dirty blood!!!!
(Hearing this, Shivaye recalls his blood and lineage ideologies, and then his love for Rudra. Shivaye now had to question his own ideologies and beliefs which weren’t completely removed yet, even after accepting his marriage with Anika)
Shivaye(shocked): No…this can’t be true…this is not possible.
Rudra (goes the Jhanvi and holds her hands): Mom…plz tell me that this is not true….I’m your and papa’s son na??? I’m an Oberoi…I know I’m an Oberoi (Jhanvi cries and looks at Rudra with guilty eyes)
Rudra(crying): Mom…tell me…I’m an Oberoi na?? I’m a child of u and papa na??? (Jhanvi nods no to Rudra while crying as she wasn’t able to speak….her guilt killed her voice for a moment.)
(Rudra breaks down and bursts into tears. Shivaye goes and hugs Rudra tightly….lafzon ka rishta plays)
Shivaye(in an emotionally choked voice): no…no Rudra…don’t cry….nothing has happened!!!! You are still a brother to me and Om. You are still a member of this family….nothing will change between us…We will always remain, one for all and all for one. (Tears roll down from Shivaye’s eyes too….Om also joins them in hug).
Shivaye: Don’t worry!!!! I’ll make everything right…I’ll solve everything…you both don’t worry.
Tej: There is nothing to solve Shivaye….Everything is a mess. Rudra isn’t an Oberoi…all these I hid this truth, in fear of me and my family’s reputation…but now, I don’t give a damn….Let the whole world know the truth of this shameless ,characterless woman(pointing at Jhanvi)….Rudra has to leave this house now along with Jhanvi..He can’t live here anymore.
Om(furiously): He’ll live in this house only…
Shivaye: Om….no !!!! Okay bade papa, Rudra will leave this house along with Jhanvi, but along with them …we all will also leave…
Om: Shivaye…what are u saying????
Shivaye: I, Om, Anika, Dadi, Prinku, mom, dad….will also leave from this house..Then u can stay here alone…happily ever after.
Tej(arrogantly): huh…and u think, they will agree with u???
Shivaye: Maybe not everyone, but Om and Rudra will definitely listen to me….we brothers, will always stay together, no matter what…in every phase of life, whether it’s joy or sorrow, nothing can break us…coz,” hum saath hai, toh baat hai”
(Om and Rudra hearing this, look at Shivaye…Shivaye holds Rudra’s hand and leaves with Om from the Tej’s room…lafzon ka rishta plays.)
Scene 2(Shivaye’s room): OBros are sitting on the bed beside each other. Rudra is crying. Shivaye and Om are trying to console him.
Shivaye: Rudra…..u don’t have to cry…nothing has changed between us…absolutely nothing
Rudra(crying): But bhaiya….I just can’t believe that I’m not the real son of mom and dad…..Dad doesn’t loves me coz I’m not his blood.
Shivaye: I’ll slap u…if u again talk about blood.
Rudra(crying): But bhaiya it was u who talk about it…..doesn’t it matters to u, that I’m not an Oberoi.
Shivaye(bursting into tears): are u crazy??? Today you have said it, but don’t say it again…My beliefs, my ideologies broke into pieces then only, when I came to know that the truth….I said na, nothing can break the OBros…..nothing…even if this world ends, our bond, our relation will never end…NEVER EVER!!!
Rudra(crying): But bhaiya…..I don’t want this family to break coz of me……Mom and dad are fighthing coz of me…I’m responsible for their failed marriage…..I’m responsible for the sorrows of mom and dad.
Om: No Rudra…it’s not your fault…They are themselves responsible for their failed marriage….They cheated on each other and ended their relationship….and nothing….I said nothing hurts more than betrayal in a relationship…u are not at fault…..so stop blaming yourself.
Rudra: But O…..mom is guilty for her deeds…I saw the pain, the guilt in her eyes.
Om: If she was guilty, then she would have told the truth long ago….why she told us the truth now??? All my life, I was hating Mr Oberoi coz I thought he is the one, who is responsible for all the sorrows in Mrs Oberois life….But what Mrs Oberoi has done is worse than her husband.
Shivaye: Mrs Oberoi…Om…
Om: My mom is dead Shivaye…the people who cheat, the people who betray…I have no love for such people in my heart.
Rudra: But O…mom loves all of us…and she didn’t tell us the truth coz she doesn’t want us to break apart…she knew that we all will feel hurt knowing the truth.
Om: These all are just excuses….she didn’t tell us the truth coz she was afraid…she was afraid to accept her sins…she was afraid to face her guilt, and nothing else.
Shivaye: Om…u are not understanding….
Om: No Shivaye, there is no excuse for cheaters, liars and betrayers…..I can never forgive such type of people..but Rudra, u don’t have to take any stress…..if u want to keep your relationship with your mom, then it’s fine…I’m okay with it…and I promise, our relationship with u will always remain the same..It’ll never change.
Shivaye: yeah Rudra, U are a part of our family, our relationship is above blood and lineage.
Om: yeah, our relation is not based on words…it’s based on emotions.
Rudra wipes his tears and smiles… OBros share a group hug and all again teary eyed…lafzon ka rishta plays….
