Anika, Gauri and Bhavya entered the room and found it dark. Seeing darkness Anika panicked.
Anika(scared): Bhavya Gauri let’s go from here. It’s too dark. I can’t go. Please…..
Bhavya: Aare bhabi relax. Nothing will happen. Calm down. We need to find out the matter right so let’s go.
Gauri: Haa Bhaujayi. We are there naa. Don’t be scared.
Anika got some strength but did she really get? No her light, her Sun, her Shivaay wasn’t there to give her strength. Only he has that ability to bring her out of this panic attack. But he is no where to be seen nor even talking with her properly. Every time they clash they argue either on Ragini or discuss how to bring Ruvya and Gaurika together. But whenever their talk comes he just ignores her or indirectly insult her and go away. Still she is trying to bring back the old tazibaaz Shivaay which was lost 3 months ago. Her thoughts were interrupted by Bhavya who said them to follow her. They were following her but lost their track and tripped over something or rather someone. They tripped over their respective partners. Anika on Shivaay and her eyes closed due to fear of falling and of coarse darkness, Gauri on Omkara and Bhavya on Rudra. While Gaurika and Ruvya were having an eyelock on the other hand Shivika has in other state. Shivaay understood that Anika was getting panicked due to darkness. He slid his hand in her waist and started carenessing it to loosen her.
Shivaay: Relax…. You are with me…… Nothing has happened….. Relax……
Anika visibly relaxed under his touch and opened her eyes to come across blue green ones. Everyone was captive by their partners and was in blissful atmosphere when a giggle interrupted them. The boys eyes widen on hearing it while the girls looked on confused. They got up and looked at each other. Someone switched on the lights and the secret got revealed. There laid a cute baby wrapped in a blanket. The girls looked at their partners with questionable eyes while the boys were mum. The baby cried gaining their attention. Anika was the first one to react. She went towards the baby and picked him up in her arms and rocked him back to sleep.
Rudra: Wah kya baat hai. Bhabi ke aatehi baby chul ho gaya. Bunty toh baara dagabaaz nikla.
Om: Absolutely right. He instantly understood a mother’s touch.
Shivaay(taunting tone) : She and mother? Really! She couldn’t fulfill the role of a wife and the role of a bahu then how can she be a mother?
Everyone gasped in shock hearing him and had tears in her eyes. She didn’t look towards them, placed the baby back on the bed and left the room. The moment Anika left the room the baby started crying. They tried to make him quite but failed.
Rudra: Bhabi can only do this. Bhavya go and call her.
Bhavya went out to call Anika. After sometime Anika rushed into the room and took the baby in her arms.
Anika: I need to change his diaper.
Rudra: Yaa bhabi but you should give him some privacy too.
Om: Duffer he is a baby and doesn’t need any privacy.
Rudra: But still….
Anika: Rudra he is a baby and baby’s don’t need to be shy in front of his mother.
Shivaay: And who said you are his mother?
Anika: I never said I am. I had left him and went but Bhavya called me and said that he is crying and you all can’t control him so I had to come. I will change his diaper and leave you all. Don’t worry you don’t need to bear me too much.
Her answer shook Shivaay. But she only knows how much stone hearted she had to become while telling those things to him. She changed the diaper and made the baby sleep.
Anika: Your Bunty is actually a girl. So she should be called Babli. She has slept I will leave.
And she left again before anyone could ask or say anything. Rudra couldn’t control himself anymore and was about to burst on Shivaay but Om stopped him.
Om: We can’t forget the promise we gave to bhabi.
Rudra: But O I can’t see my bhabi like this.
Om: That even I also can’t but we have to wait for sometime. Until we solve this baby mystery we can’t do anything else.

Everyone slept around the baby to keep an eye on her. But sleep was far away from two people- Shivaay and Anika. Here Shivaay was thinking about the day when Anika had broke all the relations and disrespected all his family members while Anika was thinking how could one day change his whole picture of hers. They were in their own thoughts and finally sleep took over them.
*NEXT DAY*
Rudra and Bhavya were going out with the baby for a walk when Dadi stopped them.
Dadi: Where are you going Rudra and what are you doing with this pram?
Rudra(fumbling): Dadi…. Wo…. Wo……
Bhavya: Dadi it’s a doll and Rudra is practicing for his college drama where he is playing the role of a father. Right Rudra?
Rudra: Me father’s role? (seeing her glared eyes) Haa Dadi father’s role.
Dadi: Then toh it’s awesome. But why does this bunny look so real?
Rudra: Because it is real baby….
Bhavya: Because Dadi it’s remote controlled naa so it looks real. Rudra let’s go you need to practice.

They were about to cross Dadi when the baby started crying. Rudra panicked and picked her up. He tried to cool her down but failed.
Rudra(shouting): Bhabi….. Anika bhabi……
Dadi(shocked): Baccha??
*AFTER SOMETIME *
Everyone had gathered in the hall and Dadi was holding the baby in her arms. She kept the baby in her basket and looked towards the youngsters.
Dadi: Whose baby is this? I thought my grandchildren were very good and they never hide anything from me then.
Tej: Tell me whose it is?
Pinky: Of course either Om’s or Rudra’s because my Shivaay is very careful about it.
Janvi: Just shut up Pinky. When Tia came and claimed her child as Shivaay’s you accepted it.
They kept on arguing and finally stopped when Dadi shouted.
Dadi: Stop. If you keep on fighting amongst yourselves then we won’t get any solution. (looking towards Anika) Anika putter you tell me. Do you know whose it is?
Anika: Dadi….. I…….
Pinky: What will she say Mummyji? Waits waits is this your baby? I won’t be shocked if it is yours. I know what types of a girl you are. The baby looks like a year old. So there is high chances that the baby is yours only. God knows whose bad blood is flowing in her…..
Anika(shouted): Just shut up Pinky aunty. Yes she is my child…… Meri beti hai woh….. And I won’t hear any bad words against her. Dadi she is my daughter and I am her mother.
Everyone was shocked hearing her especially Shivaay. He thought she must be joking but seeing her raging eyes he again misunderstood her. While Rikara and Ruvya knew that she did this just to protect the brothers from further humiliation. Anika picked up the baby and went towards the room. Gauri and Bhavya followed her to help her.
*Shivaay’s room*
Anika placed the baby on the bed and sat beside her.
Anika: I know I am not your mother but seeing you reminded me of my childhood and struggle days. I don’t know whether you have a family or not but from now you are my daughter and I am your mother. You are my only family now. My brother Sahil has also misunderstood me and isn’t talking with me. But don’t worry I will always protect you and be with you. You don’t have a name I will give you one. You came as a blessing in my life. When everyone had turned their face away from me you came and accepted me. I will name you Rabia… Rabia Anika…..
The baby smiled indicating that she liked her new name. Anika had tears seeing her smile too. Just then Gauri and Bhavya enter the room.
Bhavya: Bhabi why did you accept the baby as your when you know that she belongs to one of the Oberoi brothers?
Anika: I know. But I can’t anyone pointing finger at them. I have faith on all of them. I just played the role of a good ‘Wife’ and ‘bhabi’ that’s it. I have been accused of not being a good wife and bahu of this house so I just fulfilled that.
Gauri: But Bhaujayi like this yours and baade bhaiya’s relation will break more and not mend?
Anika: I don’t care now Gauri. Shivaay hates me and it is clearly visible in his eyes. And after all he has announced his engagement with Ragini so I am happy for him. And more over Pinky aunty will also be happy to get her as her bahu. I had came for a mission to bring Shivaay back to himself and when this is done I had to leave this house naa. Though I had challenged Pinky aunty that I would return back to this house again as Shivaay’s wife but when Shivaay himself broke my heart I can’t mend it again. I lost…… I lost…..
GauYa hugged her and consoled her. Later they all became busy with the baby.

Shivaay was thinking about the incident that happened in the hall.
Shivaay(thinking): Was she trying to use that baby and enter my life again? If it is the reason then I will surely not forgive her. But how can she do like this with me? I can never forgive her. Never. I thought of making her jealous by using Ragini. But she isn’t worth of my love and feelings. I should have understood that when she walked over my feelings that day. But I thought she would change. No she can never change. I had done this engagement drama to make her jealous but now I will move on and start my new life. I will make my engagement official.
Thinking so he called Ragini to come to OM. She instantly agreed and came. Shivaay gathered everyone in the hall for making some announcement and surprisingly media was also present. So Anika decided to keep Rabia away from lame light as it wasn’t good for her.
Shivaay: I have called everyone to make an announcement.( he held Ragini’s hand) I and Ragini Manhotra are getting engaged very soon and you all are invited.
Everyone was shocked hearing it but Pinky was flying in the air. Anika had a neutral face hearing it. She neither shed a tear nor was shocked.
Reporter: Sir when are you planning to get engaged?
Shivaay: Within 2 days. I can’t wait to start my new life. Thank you so much for coming and covering this event.
Media went and only the family members were left behind.
Dadi: Billu you took such a huge decision without even talking with us? And how can you do such a thing.

She almost ran from there to his room. She closed the door and slid down taking the support of the door, covered her mouth and started sobbing badly. The last hope she had was also gone. She didn’t want to live anymore. She wanted to end her life but stopped looking at the sleeping angel in front of her.
Anika: I can’t be weak. I have to live for her. I will do what Shivaay wants me to do. Then I will leave this house for ever with Rabia and lead a peaceful life. I am that much assured that Sahil is in good hands and I don’t need to be tensed. Now I and Rabia will lead a happy life.
She wiped her tears and went down to take milk for baby. She was working in the kitchen when Ragini entered.
Ragini: Anika…… What had you said me that you will kick me out of this house? But see your ex husband is only getting engaged to me in 2 days. Isn’t it fantastic?
Anika: I’m happy that he is doing that. And congratulations for your engagement.
Anika went away and Ragini stood dumbstruck seeing her reaction.

Anika was feeding Rabia when Shivaay entered the room in anger. He pulled her by her arms forcefully.

And regarding this baby then let me tell you Mr. Oberoi she isn’t mine…. Yes you heard it she isn’t mine. I am still pure and virgin. Shivaay felt humilated and left. But one thing had surely struck him hard.

Anika was seen doing something and Bhavya was helping her.

Shivaay was going through the photages and he found out that Anika hadn’t done anything to Ragini. He felt bad that he unnecessarily shouted at her. He was thinking of appologing to her. But her words from the morning came back to his mind and he decided against it.
Shivaay: I had started believing that whatever you had done that day maybe out of pressure or blackmailing. But within few momemts you broke my illusion. You have played with my emotions and it is my turn to play with yours.

Anika was looking around and instructing the workers about the decorations.
Anika: Bhaiya, I said purple and white theme….. So with that you should have brought white and purple coloured flowers. Now go and change it.
Ragini was seeing everything and thought of irritating Anika. She saw Shivaay passing by and started her acting.
Ragini : Anika…. I had said I want red and yellow theme…. But here it is something else.
Anika: Sometime before only you said white and purple theme and now you want red and yellow.

Anika: Janvi Aunty…. Am I so bad that Shivaay is insulting me like this? What crime have I done to bear such insults from him? My only fault was I had set up an alibei to make him hate me so that he doesn’t get to know about his birth truth. Is my crime so big that I am getting such a punishment?

He looked up and saw Janvi. He couldn’t understand what to do.
Shivaay: I don’t know Baadi maa. I just did that in a fret of anger seeing that the baby is hers.

Anika: I, first have to find a house where I can stay temporarily. Or wait I can simple sit in a train and go somewhere where it takes me to. That would be better. Then no-one can ever find me or trace me. That would be better. I will leave immediately after the engagement without anyone’s notice. That would be better. (saw towards the bed and saw Rabia playing with her toys) She is my responsibility now and I will fulfill every single duty of a mother.
She thought she was alone in her room but someone, well to be precised Shivaay was hearing that she was saying. Did it effect him? Of course it did after thinking over his Baadi Maa’s words he came to a conclusion that he should think about the matter once more. Maybe there are many loop holes in it and he is unable to trace them. He has to find them out fast before it becomes too late. He saw her smiling face while playing with the baby. He had no doubt become so attached with the baby then why was he ignoring her now. He didn’t know. Slowly he walked into the room as if he was hypnotized. Luckly, Anika didn’t feel that someone had entered. He walked towards the other side of the bed and sat down in front of Bunty…. Naa Babli. Seeing him, she became happy and crawled towards him. Shivaay caught her in his arms and rocked her to and fro. Anika was silently seeing everything. She wanted to interupt but seeing them so happy made her very happy. She didn’t want to disturb them, so she was about to go out of the room when his voice stopped her.
Shivaay: Where are you going?
Anika: To get milk for Rabia.
Shivaay(confused): Rabia who?
Anika: My daughter, Rabia.
Shivaay: Nice name. What does it mean?
Anika: Blessing……. She has came in my life as a blessing…..
Shivaay: Can we talk Anika?
Anika: Regarding what? Everything is over Shivaay…. You have moved on and you are even doing engagement the next day then why suddenly you want to talk now?
Shivaay: I have understood that….
Anika(cutting him in between) : That maybe whatever I had done had some reason behind it….. If you think like that they I would say it’s too late now….
She walked out the room and he stayed with Babli looking at her enchanted smile…..
Shivaay: Your mom is very angry young lady. I need to pacify her soon or it will be too late. (baby giggled) Ha… Ha…. Laugh even you are also on her side. But don’t worry I will surely make her cool after all she is my wife and I know how to handle my Paanika.
Anika returned to see them laughing and playing. She smiled lightly but instantly hide it from him. She took Babli from him and made her have the milk. Soon enough she slept off in her mother’s arms. Anika placed her on the bed and covered her with a small blanket.
Shivaay(chuckled): Such an irony. When we were taking care of her, she wouldn’t sleep without making us dance or sing. But now with you, she slept so easily without any tantrums.
Anika: It all depends on the baby’s mood. When they want and what they want.
Shivaay: Unlike we elders who don’t know what we do and why?

Anika: Let’s wait for tomorrow Mr. Oberoi.
Shivaay was shocked hearing her. Though he knew that she would be going away from him somewhere far off but he didn’t know why he was feeling something more will be happening which he had never imagined.

Shivaay was thinking about Anika’s words and Ragini’s acts. He has to do something but what? OmRu came there and saw him lost. They took this opportunity and went to him.
Om: Shivaay what happened?
Shivaay(absent mindedly) : Anika….
Rudra: Bhabi? Why are you thinking about Bhabi?
Shivaay(coming back to reality) : When did I say that? You must be hearing to much.
Om: Aacha leave all these. Tell me what is bothering you?
Shivaay shared them everything about Ragini. Hearing it they were shocked.
Rudra: Anika bhabi was right. She is Nagini and doing all these wicked things. Oh my maata, she is a psycho.
Om: Yes, Anika bhabi was always right. I guess, you should apologize to her for your behavior.
Shivaay: I can’t because seeing her makes me remind of the day when she had insulted you Om. I can’t do it.
Rudra: Why bhaiya? Just because Anika bhabi did that you lost faith on her.
Shivaay: I can’t built up my faith on her again. Let me think about it once.
Om: Shivaay, I would say just one thing – maybe whatever you are seeing isn’t the truth and the truth maybe something else.

Om: You are intelligent enough to understand. Let’s go Rudy.
OmRu left leaving Shivaay in deep thoughts. He was thinking about it deeply when his phone pinged notifying him about a message. He saw it and went to study for some work.

Anika woke up feeling fresh. She didn’t understand why. Maybe because Shivaay will be moving on with someone who is worth of him or something else will happen.
Anika(to Babli) : I don’t know why today I am so light. Something will surely happen today that will change many lives. Don’t worry I won’t let anything happen to you and Shivaay too.
She went to freshen up leaving Babli alone. Someone entered her room,” Today I will make everything fine…. ”
Since morning, Anika was busy with work and didn’t get time for herself at all. After all it is Shivaay Singh Oberoi’s engagement. In all this hustle and bustle she didn’t see Shivaay anywhere around. She thought maybe before he becomes someone elses she will see him fully to live for the rest of her life with his memories. But seems like, her luck isn’t with her. She sighed and continue unaware of what is waiting for her tonight.
*Evening*
Everything was set. Guests had arrived, media was present and all was set for the grand engagement. Anika was ready in a white indo western outfit and doing last minute checking. Gauri and Bhavya were helplessly seeing everything and didn’t know what to do. OmRu were missing since morning along with Shivaay. Don’t know what the Obros are upto?
Gauri: Bhavya I am very scared. What will happen if the engagement takes place? All our plan will be wasted.
Bhavya: I know bhabi. But I am as helpless as you are. I want to do but can’t do anything as well. Even I am unable to find about the baby’s identity.
Gauri: Now only Shankarji can help us to sort out everything.
Shivaay entered in full glory along with his brothers in a black sherwani looking handsome as usual. He had this huge smile on his face when he saw Anika. Why? Let’s see. Ragini too entered and clinged onto him. His smile dropped to a fake time
Shivaay(thinking): Control yourself Shivaay, just a few minutes more and then everything will be sorted.
Ragini: Shivaay, when is the ceremony starting?
Shivaay: Just now but before that I have a surprise for you.
Ragini(excited): Really? Wow Shivaay I didn’t know that you were so romantic.
Shivaay(smirked): You haven’t seen many things about me. Let’s go. Rudra……
Rudra took his sigh and went while Om went towards Gauri and Bhavya.
Gauri: Omkaraji what is happening?
Om: Just wait and watch the show.
Anika was clueless about everything. But seeing Shivaay and Ragini together made her heart clunched. She was sad but masked her expression very efficiently. One of the waiters came with drinks and offered her one. She took it and drank it fully. Rudra set the projector and started to show some video clips. Seeing them everyone was shocked and Ragini’s face was worth watching. Her face was devoid of all colours. Soon two men entered giving spice to the scene.
Shivaay: Ah Siddhart welcome. Won’t you like to meet your Wife Ragini….? I bet she has missed you a lot.
Sid: Of course after all I missed her as well. Well Mrs. Ragini Siddhart Shukla…. Won’t you invite your husband in your engagement?
It came a shock for everyone specially Pinky and Anika. Again history was repeating.
Shivaay: You all must be thinking how did this all happen. Then let me tell you. Miss. Ragini oops sorry Mrs. Ragini had said me that someone was attacking her in my house under my tight security. So I thought of looking into it and guess what I found that every attack was done by her brother Samar. I met him and got to know that she had blackmailed him saying that if he doesn’t help her then she would kill herself. Being a caring brother he helped her but her obsession level just went on increasing. I contacted Siddhart and got to know the whole truth.
Ragini: Listen Shivaay, it is all false. I am telling you… I really love you Shivaay. Don’t listen to them. I really love you.
Shivaay: You don’t love me. You have an obsession for me. Do you even know the meaning of love? (looking at Anika) It is the feelings where you give the other person whatever you have without any second thought. Love means sacrificing your feelings and giving joy to others. Which you will never understand. Samar I am thinking of sending Ragini to mental health center for her treatment.
Samar: I don’t have any problem. Infact I was also thinking of the same.

The nurses came and took her away. Samar and Siddhart too went away after appologizing to others.
Shivaay(to the media) : Thank you so much for comimg. But now there won’t be any engagement party. You all can leave now.
Media went away and now only Family members were present.
Pinky: Oh my maata, I did not think that Ragini will be like this Thank god, you are safe now Shivaay.
Shivaay: But you should thank Anika for this. Not me.
Pinky(raged): Why her? What did she do?
Shivaay: It’s because of her only I got saved from this psycho Ragini. And moreover I want to make an announcement. From now onwards Anika is the owner of all my shares and properties.
Everyone was shocked hearing especially Pinky and Anika.
Pinky: Have you gone mad Shivaay? You are giving all your hard work money to this good for nothing girl. You can’t give anything to her. You can’t whatever you have is mine just mine. I won’t allow you to do this never.
Shivaay: Mom you don’t know what has Anika done for me. She knew about my birth secret still she protected me… She has….
Pinky: Which secret? It is not any secret… It is not truth at all…. (looking at Anika) Your mother had said a lie to her so that she leaves your life forever.
Everyone was shocked hearing it. Anika stumbled but Gauri and Bhavya saved her.
Pinky: I had said a lie to her regarding your birth that you aren’t my son. You are Shaktiji and Kamini’s illegitimate child. I had blackmailed her saying that if she doesn’t leave you within 3 days then I will tell this to you which wasn’t true at all.
Anika(gaining her voice) : Why?
Pinky: Because you weren’t eligible for him at all. That time to save his family name, he got married to you and brought you here. But I never liked you. Never. Shivaay was changing and I never wanted that. I had made him this stone hearted person because I wanted him to be the CEO of the Oberoi industry. I made him believe in Naam Khoon Khandan so that we get profits in business by business murgers through marriage. But you came in my way and made everything wrong. So I decided to move you away. I planned all these and emotional blackmailed you. And you believed it and went. But 3 months later you again came back and claimed this house as yours. But I didn’t step back. You had challenged me that Shivaay himself will bring you back to the house. But he didn’t do that. And he can never do that.
Everyone was shocked hearing her. Everyone could understand the amount of hatred she has for Anika. Anika’s condition wasn’t less either. She was suddenly having problem in breathing and her vision was becoming foggy. But she ignored it.
Anika: Toh Mahi?
Pinky: His face was only similar but he wasn’t Shivaay’s brother. What do you think Shivaay’s kidnapping Mahi coming to OM was only Kamini’s plan. No it was both of ours plan. So that Mahi uses you and later when you get to know that you have cheated Shivaay, then he will throw you out of his life.
Anika suddenly felt sick hearing her thoughts. She started coughing badly and her breaths were coming in short turns. Still she managed to ask her futher.
Anika: The baby? Is also your plan?
Pinky: Yes…. I have kidnapped that baby from an orphanage and sent it here. So that Shivaay or you any of them see it. I wanted you to take it but Shivaay got it first. I thought he will notice the ganzi eyes of the baby. But you did and I thought you will leave him seeing his disloyalty But you still stayed back and not only that accepted that baby as yours too.
Everyone was in shocked state hearing everything. Shivaay couldn’t understand what to say. Is this the same mother whom he loved more than God? Why did his mother had to ruin his life like this? He wanted so many answers but Gauri’s sudden scream starled him.
Gauri(screams): Bhaujayi……
Everyone looked towards her and saw Anika lying on the floor unconscious. Shivaay reacted fast and was instantly beside her.
Shivaay(patting her cheek) : Anika…. Anika…. Open your eyes….. Anika…. (sensing something) Why is her body becoming cold? (rubbing her hands) Anika…..
Bhavya: Bhaiya, bhabi’s pulse is dropping. We need to immediately take her to the hospital.
Shivaay(scared): But she was fine a while ago. What happened suddenly?
Bhavya: Bhaiya, it isn’t the time to waste. We need to take her immediately.
Shivaay picked her up and was about to exit the main gates when Pinky’s words made him numb.

Shivaay was calmly sitting outside the ICU ward. Through out the journey he tried waking her up but failed. Rather her condition detoriated more. He could see her face becoming pale as if someone has removed all the blood from her body. Now he felt nothing less than a lost person. He doesn’t know what happened to her and what will be her condition. In the same way Babli was also not responding but her condition wasn’t detoriating like Anika’s. A voice brought him back to sence.
Nurse: Sir, please fill the forms of the patients.
He took it and started filling it. He sighed and returned it back.
Nurse: Sir… relation with them?
Shivaay(after a long time) : Wife and daughter…..
The nurse went and OmRu came to him.
Om: You never divorced Anika bhabi. Why?
Shivaay(low voice) : Because I had a belief that she would return one day and say that Shivaay it was all lie. I didn’t mean anything what I said. Please forgive. (chuckled) I guess that’s why we still are legally married.
Om: Shivaay…. are you fine?
Shivaay: I am fine Om. Till Anika is fine…. If something happens to her I don’t know what will I do.

Rudra: Haa bhaiya. Nothing will happen to bhabi. She is my superwoman. And Bunty… I mean Babli will also be fine.
Their talks halted due to the doctor.
Shivaay: Doctor how are they?
Doctor(sighed): I have a good news as well as a bad news.
Shivaay(prepared himself) : Just say it Doctor.
Doctor: The baby, I mean your daughter is out of danger. Someone had given high dose of sleeping pills in her food thats why she wasn’t responding. We have cleared her stomach and now she is fine. But….

Doctor: Your wife is very critical. I won’t be giving you false hopes but she is sinking. She was given high amount of deathly poison. We have cleared her stomach and everything. But I guess, it has already effected her brain and other vital organs. We had almost lost her twice in the procedure. I am afraid if she can make out…..
Shivaay(grabbed his collors) : How dare you say that….. Do you know who is she… She is Mrs. Shivaay Singh Oberoi…. Do every damn thing to save her…..
Om(removing Shivaay’s grip) : Shivaay control yourself. Doctor, I am sorry on his behalf. Please try to save her. She is very impor….
Shivaay: She is my life….. Please save her…. Please…..
Doctor: I will try my level best to do it. Please excuse me.
The doctor went and Shivaay sat down with a thud.
Shivaay: Om… She is leaving me and going…. She said that she will go somewhere so far away that I won’t be able to find her ever. Om, Anika… My Anika is leaving me….
Om(consoling him) : Shivaay…. have strength…. If you fall weak like this then how will we bring bhabi back. Don’t loose hope Shivaay…. Don’t loose hope…..
Everyone had tears seeing him as well as for Anika. They could do only one thing that is to pray. Later that night, Babli had gained consciousness and was as jolly as ever. But our Anika was still the same. Maybe this time she was a way more tired than before and was sleeping so long.

Shivaay entered as a dejected person and saw her. So many wires and equipments were attached to her body. Seeing it made his heart sink. He slowly sat beside her on the stool and kept looking at her face. Though most of it is covered with oxygen mask still he could see her. He slowly took her hand in his and kissed it.
Shivaay: I know, you are very angry on me…. Not only angry but upset on me. And you should be…. I have always misunderstood you…. always…. and see today I am getting the fruits of it. Anika, you can’t leave our fight like this. You have to show your anger and throw water on me. Come-on you have to do it. So you still won’t listen to me. Then I have to go back being SSO. I am ordering you Anika… Get up now. Come-on get up. How much will you sleep? See I have become SSO and showing you tadi. Now get up and take the glass and throw the water on me. Come-on….Get up….. (tears were falling down his eyes. He kept his head on her hand and whispered helplessly) I love you Anika….. I can’t live without you…… Please come back to me….. Please…..
Magic worked…. Her hand showed some movement giving him a ray of hope. He looked up seeing her trying to open her eyes. He instantly called up the doctor who arrived immediately.
Doctor: Mr, Oberoi can you please go out I need to check her.
Om: Shivaay let’s wait outside.
Shivaay: But Anika….
Om: Shivaay… Doctor are checking her. Come out.
After 10 minutes, doctor came out. Everyone was waiting patiently for him.
Doctor: She is out of danger…..
Shivaay got his breath back while Gauri prayed to be Shankarji for saving her Bhaujayi. Rudra was happy so was Om.
Doctor: But she is very weak. When I say very weak means she won’t be able to breath normally. She needs oxygen mask at least for a week and maybe for somedays she might not be able to speak and smallest of the smallest activity may exhaust her. So she needs complete bed rest for at least a month.
Shivaay: You don’t worry about it Doctor, she will be treated very well. Thank you so much for saving her and I am sorry for misbehaving with you that time.
Doctor: I can understand Mr. Oberoi. Take care of her.
Doctor went. Everyone was thinking about meeting Anika. So one by one everyone went except Shivaay. Because before meeting her, he needed some scores to be settled.
*Police station*
An angry Shivaay entered and everyone literally became scared seeing him.
Shivaay: Where is she?
The officer showed him the way and he went towards the cell. Seeing him Pinky was delited.
Pinky: I knew you would come to bail me out. See naa Shivaay what they have done to your mother.
Shivaay: I didn’t come here to bail you out. I came here to ask some questions and make you pay for the condition in which my Anika is now.
Pinky: Is she dead?
Shivaay: When, her Shivaay is with her, then no-one can even touch her hair. Now tell me why did you do all these? Why did you make me this heartless. Why?
Pinky: Because I never got love from your father. So I also never allowed you to experience the feeling of love. I saw only money maters to everyone. So I made you that way so that in future you become the CEO of Oberoi Industry and people come to know me as Shivaay Singh Oberoi’s mother. I wanted fame, money and title.
Shivaay: Never ever once you thought my feelings? Never?
Pinky: No… Love is pain and I didn’t want you to experience it.
Shivaay: Yes, love is pain. And that is what you gave me for loving you immensely. I always thought you above God. But what you did. Tried to remove that Girl from my life who was my everything…. Even if papa forgives you… I will never forgive you… never and I will make sure you get the deserved punishment for attempting to kill my wife and daughter.
Pinky: Daughter? Are you talking about that orphan? She doesn’t have naam khoon khandan and god knows whose bad blood is running in her body.
Shivaay: Not a word more against my daughter and wife Mrs. Oberoi. Or you will see the worst of me.
He walked out of the cell and headed towards the hospital.
*Hospital*
Shivaay saw that everyone was standing outside the ICU and sudden fear gripped him.
Shivaay: What happened? Why are you all standing here? Anika… Anika thik toh hai na?
Om: Relax Shivaay, bhabi is fine. It’s that we are going home with Babli. She got discharged. Doctor said, bhabi has to stay for a week in the hospital.
Shivaay: Oh okay. You all go I will stay back with Anika.
Om: Okay. Tomorrow morning we will come.
Shivaay: Say Dadi that, I will return with Anika only. And not to fear everything is under control.
Om: Take care of yourself and bhabi.
Shivaay bid them bye and prepared himself to face her. He entered the room slowly without making any noice to see her eyes closed. He thought, maybe she is sleeping. He slowly tip toed towards her and softly kissed her forehead. He was about to go when a soft hold on his little finger stopped him. He turned around and saw her eyes half open and looking straight into his. He was hypnotized and he sat down beside her on the stool. Their hold didn’t go loose and they kept on looking at each other for god knows how long. He slowly interwind his fingers with her and held them tightly. She was too weak to each reciprocate back. Finally, after a decade maybe Shivaay broke the silence.
Shivaay: You should rest Anika. You are too weak.
Slowly nodding her head as no, telling him that she doesn’t want to. He sighed stubborn as always. He slowly patted her head and she eventually went into deep slumber due to medicine effect and extreme tiredness. Seeing her sleeping, he thought of taking some rest too. He tried to free his hand but it was quite impossible. He let it be and slept by keeping his head on the bed.
The dark night of their life went by and a bright new morning was arriving for them.
*Next day*
Shivaay has already awake and looking at Anika who was sleeping peacefully. He felt so relief seeing her in front of him alive. He just couldn’t express his feelings.
Shivaay(talking to sleeping Anika) : Seeing you in front of me all fine is making me so happy. You don’t know what was my condition when doctor said that you won’t make it. I felt as if someone is snatching someone previous from me. And then I realized that I never stopped loving you. I fell in love with you way before but my ego and my ideologies would always stop me from accepting. But now I realised that I love you even more and it has no limit to it now. I can’t live without you Anika…. You have become my heartbeat… My breath… I can’t live without you….
A knock on the door brought him out of thoughts. He composed himself and Dadi and Janvi entered.
Dadi: Billu, Anika kaisi hai?
Shivaay: She is fine Dadi. But very weak. The poison was too deadly for her. She is still sleeping and I guess, she would be sleeping for a while.
Janvi: Why don’t you go back home now? You were here the whole night. Don’t worry, we are here.
Shivaay: No Baadi maa. I will return with back home with Anika only.
Janvi: But at least freshen up. You look so tired.
Shivaay(sighed): Okay, I will just go and come soon.
Dadi: Take your time and eat something and come. We are here with our bahu.
Shivaay nodded and went. Dadi and Janvi sat down on the couch and waited for Anika to get up. While they were unaware that she was already awake and had listened everything means everything.
Anika(thinking): Shivaay loves me and I don’t know what to do. I want to shout it out to him that even I love him. But I am helpless. Seeing Shivaay’s face yesterday made me go crazy. He looked so broken. First Pinky Aunty’s truth and second my condition. I know that he hasn’t shared anything with anyone. He is feeling guilty about what all happened and also about his behavior towards me. I need to do something. But what? First let him come back then I will think and tell.
After an hour Shivaay returned and Dadi and Janvi went back home. She was still having her eyes closed. Feeling his presence made her open her eyes. Shivaay saw it and instantly sat beside her.
Shivaay(cupping her face) : Anika, how are you feeling? (she nodded her head indicating that she is fine) Wait let me call the doctor.
Her hold stopped him and he looked towards her. She was begging him to sit down and he did as said. She tried to say something but nothing came out of her mouth. She tried moving her other hand to remove her mask but weakness engulfed her. Shivaay understood what she wants. He leaned forward and removed the mask but warned only for few minutes. She agreed and said him to come towards her.
Anika(stammering and low voice) : Ma… Mar…. Marr…. Marry…. M… Me…..
He was stunned hearing her and looked at her in shock.
Anika: P… Pl… Ple… Plea… Please….
Her eyes showed some sort of fear which he didn’t like at all. He placed the mask back and went out of the room. He returned back within a minute and went towards her.
Shivaay: I promise to protect you and keep you happy always….
With that he filled her hairline with vermilion claiming as his again. A lone tear escaped her eyes feeling happy which he wiped it off instantly.
Shivaay: No more of these tears in our lives. Now we will be together always.
She smiled and tried to tighten her hold on him which she failed but he tighten his hold on her. Promising of never leaving her alone.
The week went in a jiffy and Anika’s condition had improved a lot. Why wouldn’t after all her Shivaay had taken care of her. Doctor had already removed her mask and now Shivaay could easily see her beautiful face. Though speaking was quite a strain workg for her now, they still didn’t feel uncomfortable because, they didn’t need words to communicate. Their eyes were enough for it. Today, Anika is getting discharged and Shivaay was the most happiest person. He didn’t like seeing her lying on the bed like this and that in a hospital. So in short he was hurrying about to finish all formalities to take her back home. OmRu had also accompanied him and was with their bhabi telling her about Babli. Soon everything was winded up and they were ready to leave. OmRu had left before hand to bring the car, while Shivaay stayed back for Anika. She was trying to get done but seems like her body wants to be in his arms and bingo. He scooped her up in his arms earning a small gasp from her. She hid her face in his chest feeling shy and he walked out of the hospital without giving any attention to others.
*Oberoi mansion *
Dadi was eagerly waiting for them and her wait was finally over. The eldest bahu of the house was back and now everything will be back to normal. She did thier arti and welcomed them.
Dadi: Billu, take Anika to the room. She must be tired. Let her rest for a while.
Shivaay: Sure Dadi.
Without any hesitation, he picked her up again and walked towards their room.
*Shivika’s room *
Anika had instantly went to deep slumber as soon as Shivaay put her on bed. Her weakness is killing her bubbliness and craziness. She had held his hand in hers and was sleeping on it. Shivaay sighed in relief seeing her back to thier room beside him. They had a lot of things to talk and sort but his first priority is her health. So he decided after her recovery, he will surprise her.
Days flew by and they didn’t understand when one month went by and there was vast improvement in Anika’s health.
Babli had eventually taken up place in everyone’s heart specially Shivaay and Anika. They could never think of anything else other than her. Her one smile was enough for making their day go good. Shivaay was even planning of adopting her and had discussed about it to the elders. He wanted to give surprise to Anika so he didn’t say her. Everything was planned, he was fully ready to tell her about his decision but a sudden storm came in their lives.
*Day of Adoption*
Shivaay had called everyone to the hall and Gauri had went to bring Anika. She arrived and Shivaay made her sit on the sofa.
Shivaay: I have an announcement to make. I have decided to adopt Babli officially as my and Anika’s daughter.
Anika was so happy hearing it and her happiness flowed in the form of tears. She looked towards Shivaay with love and he reciprocated. The lawyer was present and it was just two sighs away when police entered through the doors along with a Lady and an Old man. Everyone was shocked seeing them.
Tej: Yes, inspector…. You here?
Inspector : Mr. Oberoi, the baby in your house had been given for adoption from where Mrs. Pinky Singh Oberoi had kidnapped her. But now her real mother wants her child back.
Shivaay: How is that possible? I had investigated about her fully and got to know that she doesn’t have any family.
Lady: That’s because my father had removed all information regarding her.
Old man: The baby is my granddaughter but it was my daughter’s before marriage child so I didn’t accept it. But seeing my daughter going into depression I couldn’t hold back and said her to bring my Poti back.
Lady: Can you please give my daughter back?
Everyone was shocked seeing the turn of events. Shivaay looked towards Anika to see her sitting with a blank look. But instantly her facial expression changed and she got up. With slow steps she went towards their room and brought Babli. She had a huge smile on her face. She slowly went towards the Lady and gave Babli to her.
Anika: She is such a sweet child. Never was a trouble for us. Very jolly child she is. (giving her a toy) This is her favorite toy….. And she doesn’t sleep with songs…. She hates plain milk… But loves chocolate milk…. And she catches cold very easily… And…
Shivaay(holding Anika’s shoulder) : Anika, she is her mother and she would know all of them….
Anika: Haa… her mother… Yes, she would know about it….. (to the Lady) Take care of her…. I had given her a name……
Lady: Really? Can I please know because I haven’t named her yet.
Anika(whispered) : Rabia…..

Shivaay held Anika from behind as she gave up on standing on her feet. She was feeling as if a part of her heart is going away. She didn’t cry because Babli was getting what she never got. And she was happy for it. Everyone bid her bye and Anika silently went back to their room. Shivaay could feel that she was effected the most and he had to do something to cheer her up.
