Jay Bhanushali was all set to host the second season of the music reality show Superstar Singer. However, the launch of the show was delayed because of which Jay said yes to ‘Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 5’.
In a recent interview with BT, Jay confirmed the news and shared, “Yes, I have taken up DID Li’l Masters 5. Superstar Singer has been delayed and the dates I had allotted to the show were free. Hence, I decided to go ahead with DID. I am still in touch with the makers of Superstar Singer. We will have to wait to see what they decide. You never know if I end up hosting both (smiles).”
Jay made his debut as a host with Dance India Dance in 2009 and was also seen anchoring the second edition of Dance India Dance Li’l Masters and the first edition of Superstar Singer.
The actor was last seen in Kairi – Rishta Khatta Meetha in 2012. When asked about his plans on returning to daily soaps, he said, “People have made this perception that I only like to host and I’m averse to taking up daily soaps. I want to break the perception. My first love will always be acting and that’s what I am looking forward to doing. I was offered a couple of daily soaps, but they didn’t materialize.”
Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 5 will be judged by Sonali Bendre, Remo D’Souza, and Mouni Roy.
