“Mumma you take rest”kanav pulled the blanket up as ragini lied on the bed.sanskar smiled at kanav’s concern.”so I should sneak out now”sanskar chuckled while ragnav nodded.”good night papa”kanav hugged his legs smilingly.sanskar patted his head and giving a hesitant smile to ragini he went away.”don’t worry I will take care of mumma”kanav whispered to sanskar running to close the gate.”now sleep”ragini held kanav’s hand as they slept hugging each other.
“Good morning”Sumi parted the curtains as ragnav twitched their brows feeling the start sunlight suddenly.kanav cooed to ragini closer groaning as his sleep was disturbed.ragini patted his arms smiling in half sleep.”get up it’s your mehendi today ragini”Sumi chided them for their laziness.kanav immediately got up jerking ragini who yawned getting up.ragini moaned in pain as her hand still stung with pain.sumi looked at them confused as kanav massaged her hand lightly to relieve her pain.”I guess I slept on mumma’s hand”kanav sheepishly said covering for ragini.sumi nodded and went out to prepare for the function.”I don’t think it is fine to tell them ,they may get worried”ragini told kanav who nodded in understanding.”I am going to washroom first”kanav ran excited as ragini ran behind him chuckling at their game.”you better get out soon”ragini faked a threat as kanav donned a winning smirk.
“Ragini beta eat your breakfast soon then you have to decide your mehendi design also… you know sanskar has got the best mehendi designer of Kolkata”Sumi exclaimed happily as she put parantha in her plate.kanav opened his mouth as ragini forwarded morsels to him asking for help.”Nani…we should not talk while eating”kanav told seriously winking at ragini who flashed a grateful look.sumi pouted sheepishly and sat down to have food.”I want the decorations apt…I told you to keep it mixture of green and orange and you got light green..
I asked for dark green… hurry up the function is today”ragnav looked as rachna marched in huffing due to anger.”come”ragini patted the seat at her right as rachna sat there.ragini forwarded her a morsel as rachna took it sighing to calm down.”maasi chill”kanav came to her side bringing yogurt for her.rachna smiled as they tried to cheer her up.”what about me?”kavya pouted complaining as she saw ragini feeding rachna.”you were left”ragini shook her head as kavya chimed happily stepping forward.”aaa”kavya opened her mouth but Karthik came and ate the morsel from ragini’s hand.”Karthik”kavya screamed at him as he ran for his life.evryone else giggled seeing the siblings fight.”yes the dj is arranged”Kabir told shekhar as they entered in.”mamu”kanav looked at him eagerly.”yes I have got the dj you said”Kabir lifted him up as he clapped excited.
“maa I am finally getting married to my love”ragini caressed janki’s smiling face as a tear tripped down her eyes.”laado”dadi came with her jewelry but stopped as she found ragini holding a photo frame.ragini hugged dadi as they sobbed remembering the pure soul.”don’t worry laado, you have got three mother’s actually more than that”dadi said as a matter of fact.ragini looked at her boggled.dadi smiled saying”me,Sumi, sujatha, Annapurna, your son and your friends and sanskar also cares for you no less”. ragini smiled through her tears hearing her and hugged her again pouting.dadi made her wear the flower jewelry as ragini smiled thinking something.”Nazar na lage”dadi put a kajal dot behind her ear as she looked breath taking with her natural Aura enhancing her beauty.
Ragini was brought down who blushed feeling a passionate gaze on her.sanskar felt desperate to see her, with the nearing time to their marriage he felt more restless not finding her around,it felt to him that his breath hacked when she was not around, slowly she was turning the most important part of her life which he can’t give away for anything.sanskar felt his breath steady as he saw her who looked ethereal.everything around was so happy and jovial that he feared if it was surreal but ragini’s smile gave him the relief to get out of his silly thought.ragini gazed around trying to sneak a look at him.swara stood in front of her smirking as ragini looked at her innocently.”awww my sister”swara pulled her cheeks as she stepped away and ragini felt her heart stop and thump rapidly seeing her love as they had a loving eyelock expressing their irritation waiting for each other.their eyelock was broken as kanav looked at ragini impatiently blocking her view.”what happened”she asked her motherly concern taking over.
“can I get mehendi done?”kanav asked innocently as ragini widened her eyes but composed in no time.”just a little… not full hand”ragini warned as kanav smiled widely.she didn’t wanted the societal prejudices to hurdle her son’s desire, mehendi was seen as girl’s concern only but she could not turn patriachal in raising her son restricting his choices.the ladies around looked at her critically but she avoided their stares as she didn’t wanted to spoil the mood.”we all know that it’s ragsan’s mehendi and sangeet so let’s do one thing…play antakshari”swara clapped happily as she set down the mike.laksh came to her asking whose turn it will be.swara smirked saying “boy’s family” as laksh conceded to his wife’s command.songs were sung Pertaining to the relation, situations and occasions as everyone enjoyed happily.
“yeh vada raha”ragini sang as no one was able to think of any song but the song expressed her emotions aptly, she promised herself that she will always stay with her love, her family.sanskar felt overwhelmed hearing her as her words touched his heart as he understood her message.”ek Dil hai ek jaan hai”sanskar sang as a blush creeped on his cheeks feeling her surprised gaze.she looked at him and then adverted her eyes as their eyes played hide and seek.sanskar felt this song suitable as he could relate to every word of it with his life.laksh coughed as he finished the song.sanskar looked at him blushing when laksh smirked understanding what they were doing.
“Now dinner time”kavya exclaimed gaining everyone’s attention.the people moved to the food counter as the maheshwaris and gadodias settled in chairs with the men bringing dinner for their ladies.”what are you doing champ?”sanskar raised his brows seeing kanav’s plate full with food more than he required.”I am taking food for mumma”kanav exclaimed happily moving to ragini.sanskar shook his head moving after him.”mumma I will feed you”kanav spoke seating besides her.”what about your mehendi?”ragini twisted her lips as kanav smiled sheepishly showing his wiped off hands.”kanav you must be feeling hungry right… you eat I will feed your mumma”sanskar tried to persuade him but he didn’t budged.”no I will feed her””champ don’t worry I will feed her”father son duo were trying hard to get to feed ragini showing their possessiveness for her , hearing their rants everyone smiled.
“ok you both feed me one by one”ragini offered a truce to which both agreed and everyone started to eat.sanskar made even kanav eat as kanav did the same with him.ragini smiled seeing their bond, just now they were fighting and now feeding each other with love, she felt her dream come true.ragini always felt kanav will be happy in his father’s presence but when sanskar was around the spark in her son’s eyes which was a mix of innocence, naughtiness, carefree and the secure feeling he felt around sanskar amazed her.she had known kanav and sanskar will make the best pair of father and son and now seeing all this happening she felt her world filled with only joy and happiness.
ragini sighed as she looked at her mehendi after settling down in her room after function.she still felt bad remembering sanskar’s face when they had to leave.it was visible he just wished to stay around and enjoy her company.ragini convinced her heart saying it’s just one more day.she shook off her worries and looked around for kanav and remembered he went to rachna to get his pajama’s knot untied.she smiled remembering his expressions as he said so.he was still her kid who never left any chance to amaze her.he would turn caring, mature a moment and innocent in another.ragini somewhere felt bad that the absence of father made him mature before time and regretted to let the time take effect on him but seeing his innocence returning with all the functions and sanskar’s company she felt relieved.
“dadi I have prepared for the haldi for tomorrow”rachna informed dadi who nodded smilingly. “I still can’t believe all this is happening… my laado is getting married among her loved ones… she had to go through a lot”dadi stifled a sob as the agony of parting from her grand daughter hit her.”she is getting married to sanskar who loves her unconditionally….he will keep laado and kanav really happy…. my laado’s tapasya of 5 years will pay off… she took care of a child who wasn’t her own and struggled so much and now sanskar would not let a tear come in her eyes”dadi continued looking lost as rachna sighed smiling.she turned around widening her eyes as she saw kanav standing at the door step with his pale face.’did he heard dadi saying that he isn’t ragini’s son?no it can’t be possible… I hope not’ rachna thought as she saw kanav running from there.she rushed after him but thought to inform ragini first.
“ragini…ka… kanav…he ran outside…he..he heard that he isn’t your son”rachna stuttered taking a deep breath as she rushed from there to look for kanav.ragini felt her world freeze as she analyzed her words.yes she wanted to tell kanav about his mother but not now, not like this,he was still too small to know the whole thing.she composed herself as she dialled sanskar’s number,she needed him to know it as he was kanav’s father.she rushed out with her heart pounding fastly in her chest.”sanskar come to baadi”ragini just said this much in her worried tone as sanskar got up rushing out.
so how was it?I know a bit boring and fast but I had promised to upload at least once in a week so had to keep up the promise.how will kanav react?will ragini find him in time?
I am late just because of the writers ,they write so engaging stories that I can’t leave them in middle.so my reader side was ignited and I completed reading some fanfictions and I am still in the hangover.
