“Tu kitna jhoot bolegi, ab jab mujhe sach pata chal chuka hai toh jhoot bolna band kar de!” Angre yelled at Riddhima who was defending herself for the past half an hour.
“Main sach bol rahi hoon, main Vansh se milne nahi gayi,” Riddhima defended herself, again.
“Tu kal raat apne kamre mein nahi thi, toh kahan thi?” Angre asked, crossing his arms over his chest with a raise of his brows.
“Main bathroom mein thi!”
“Raat ke baara se lekar saadhe baara baje tak tu bathroom mein kya holi khel rahi thi?” he screamed and Riddhima flinched.
“Tum meri behen ho Riddhima, sach bola karo. Jhoot nahi,” he told and sat down on the couch in the hall.
“Riddhima!” Vansh’s voice beamed in the hall.
He saw standing upset, looking at an unknown direction, he ran to her and wiped her tears.
“What happened? Why are you upset?” Vansh wiped off a tear that adored her cheek.
“Bhai ne daata!” she complained like a kid.
Vansh turned to Angre, “Ab tum meri Riddhu ko kyun daant rahe thae? Tumhe aur koi kaam dhanda nahi hai kya?”
“Nahi hai isse koi kaam dhanda, tabhi toh raat ko Angre, Ragini ke ghar par tha, parso!” Ishani yelled as soon as she saw Angre, “Aur mujhse jhoot kaha ki woh so raha hai!”
“Bhai aapne jhoot kaha, lekin aap toh kabhi jhoot nahi bolte na?” Ridhima asked, innocently.
“Angre, tumne Ishani se jhoot kaha?” Vansh asked.
“Tumne bhi toh Riddhu se jhoot bola tha ki tum meeting mein ho lekin tum toh office mein so rahe thae,” Angre revealed and saw Riddhima’s shocked expression.
“Tumne mujhse jhoot bola, kyun?” Riddhima asked, not able to believe her brother’s words.
“Main thak gaya tha…” but was interrupted by Riddhima, “Mujhse thak gaye thae ya sach bolkar thak gaye thae?”
“Sweetheart, meri baat toh suno,” he tried to speak but Riddhima turned her face.
“BAS!” Ishani screamed and added, “Abhi hum sa sach bolenge, koi bhi jhoot nahi bolega, baitho!”
Everyone sat in the hall, Vansh sat besides Riddhima, when she saw him coming next to her she stood up but was pulled back by him, she huffed in annoyance.
“Angre tum start karo,” Vansh said and Angre gulped the saliva stopped in his throat.
“Main uss raat Ragini ke ghar par issliye gaya tha, kyunki usne bulaya tha, meri gaadi kharab ho gayi uske ghar ke bahar,” he was about to say but was interrupted by Ishani, “Tumse kisne kaha ki Ragini ke ghar ke bahar gaadi chalao, mere ghar ke bahar nahi chala sakte,” Ishani frowned.
“Ishu, main mere friend ki house warming party mein gaya tha aur raat ho gayi aate aate, tab gaadi kharab ho gayi, coincidentally, Ragini ke ghar ke saamne,” he shrugged.
“Aur phir tumne Ragini ke ghar pe uske saath kya kiya?” she asked, annoyed.
“Uske boyfriend ke saath fifa khela!” he said.
Ishani’s face got bright with happiness, “She has a boyfriend?”
Angre nodded and received a hug from Ishani.
“Ab Riddhima tum batao,” Angre said.
“Kal raat main Vansh se milne nahi gayi thi,” she got interrupted by Angre, “Sach batao Riddhu!”
“Sach bol rahi hoon, main usse milne nahi gayi balki woh mujhse milne aaya tha,” she revealed in her breath.
“Par woh aaya kab aur kahan se?” he asked, confused and staring at Vansh.
“Woh 11:45pm ko aaya tha aur khidki se aaya.”
“Lekin tum apne room mein nahi thi.”
“Hum dono bathroom mein thae,” Riddhima closed her eyes in fear and when she opened them, she met her brother’s shocked face.
“Yeh sab sunne se pehle, tera bathroom tuth kyun nahi gaya?” Angre exclaimed.
“Abbey, mar kyun nahi gaya hota hai!” Vansh corrected him.
“Tum dono ke romance ke liye main kyun maru?”
“Tujhe problem kya hai, mere aur Riddhima ke milne se?” Vansh asked the question, he wanted to.
“Problem raat mein milne se hai, tujhe toh pata hai, meri behen musibaton ke maamle mein magnet. Din ke ujaale mein yeh itni problems mein padti hai, toh raat ke andhere mein toh problems mein doob jayegi, warna mujhe koi problem nahi hai,” Angre revealed the truth.
“Ab Vansh ki baari,” Riddhima said, glaring at him.
“Woh maine tumse jhoot isliye bola tha, kyunki main kaam karke bohot thak chuka tha aur sona chahta tha.”
“Toh main kaunsa tumhe neend se utha deti agar tum sach bolte,” Riddhima rolled her eyes.
“Jaanta hoon, Sweetheart, lekin mujhe thoda ‘me time’ chahiye tha, isiliye jhoot bola ki meeting mein hoon, warna maine aaj tak tumse aur koi jhoot nahi bola.”
Everyone now looked at Ishani, “Main jhoot nahi bolti!” she tried to avoid the situation.
“Tumhari shakal pe likha hai ki tum kitni badi jhooti ho, ab sach batao,” Vansh said.
“Meri phone mein jo ‘Sneha’ ka number hai na, woh actually ‘Sunny’ ka hai!”
“KYA!!” All three exclaimed, together.
“Lekin aisa kyun?” Angre asked after recovering from the shock.
“Woh tumhe Sunny se jealousy hoti hai aur tum mujhe usse baat nahi karne dete, Riddhu aur Vansh Bhai ko toh woh bilkul nahi pasand, issiliye!” she revealed.
“Mujhe toh batati!” Riddhima said.
“Taaki tu aakar Vansh Bhai ko bata deti,” Ishani answered, knowing her friend’s action.
Riddhima nodded.
“Ab block kar usse! Mujhe woh nahi pasand!”
“Mujhe bhi!” screamed the two.
“Yeh cheating hai, sach bolna tha lekin uske baad ke consequences nahi discuss, main usse block nahi karungi, woh mera friend hai!” Ishani said.
“Theek hai, lekin thodi kam baat kiya kar, woh toh humare break up ka wait kar raha hai,” Angre said and Ishani pulled his cheeks, “Okay!”
“Aaj se hum sab sirf sach bolenge,” Angre declared and everyone nodded.

Riddhima was going through some photos in her phone with Ishani by her side while the boys were busy in making coffee. On looking at a picture, Riddhima remembered something and asked, “Vansh, where’s the red hoodie, I gave you?”
Vansh stopped in his tracks and looked at Riddhima, “It’s gone for laundry, I had worn it the other day but mistakenly dropped coffee.”
Riddhima nodded in understanding, and looked into her phone again.
“Jhoot bola?” Angre whispered into Vansh’s ears and Vansh nodded in response, “Woh hoodie jo Riddhima ne mujhe di thi woh kho gayi!”
Angre thought to keep silent, he’s thinking about his benefit as well. You never know when he would need Vansh help.
Riddhima whispered into Ishani’s ears, “Your brother is colour blind,” on seeing Ishani’s confused face she added, “I never gave him a red hoodie, it was black!”
“You lied?” Ishani asked in shock and got a nod.
And that day, they had decided to speak the truth, ALWAYS because there’s a saying, ‘Jhoot Bolna Paap hai.’
