Jigyasa Singh’s exit from Thapki Pyar Ki 2 has been a major shocker for the fans. While there were reports about the actress, quitting the show because of medical reasons, in a recent interview with BT, Jigyasa talked about it in detail and shared, “I decided to take a break because I have been struggling with some health issues for the past four-five months. I assumed that all the tiredness and restlessness were a result of a hectic shooting schedule. However, after a few tests, I got to know that I had developed a few problems because of continuous shooting. It took a toll on my health.”
She added, “I informed the makers about my decision earlier this month. In fact, I tried my best to continue and discussed with the producers if they could reduce my working hours. Also, my brother is getting married in Jaipur in eight days and I need to be present there. I guess they couldn’t manage with me being away for over a week, as we don’t have a healthy bank of episodes. So, unfortunately, we had to take this call. Otherwise, kuchh manage ho paata.”
Talking about the decision to quit a show so close to her heart, she said, “It was extremely difficult. I was quite disturbed on the last day of the shoot. But I have accepted the fact that I have to move on. Everything happens for a reason. For now, I just want to take some rest and focus on my health. I want to be absolutely fine so that I can work for a long time without any break. It was a very tough call for me, but I feel that everyone should put their health on priority.”
Jigyasa shot her last episode on Sunday. “Honestly, I wasn’t prepared for it. I was told on the set that it was my last day on Thapki Pyar Ki 2. It was an emotional day for me, as the show is my baby and the unit is a dream team. The makers have been cooperative and equally concerned about my health and want me to recover soon. I wish the new Thapki (to be played by Prachi Bansal) all the best for the character and hope that the show does even better.”
Jigyasa had to quit the previous season, too, after she was diagnosed with swine flu. She says, “I was away for three weeks and unfortunately, the show wrapped up in a month’s time after I returned. However, this time around, it is a final goodbye,” she concludes.

Actually, I can’t understand the makers. Don’t they supposed to shoot at least a week earlier before telecasting the episode?? This show they were shooting the episodes just three days before telecast. Like seriously?? Pity the artists for struggling to do their jobs in the tight schedule. I still remember last time I watched Yeh Teri Galiyan after leap. The episode started on Monday but the actors shot the first episode on Saturday. This show also no less than that.
That’s true. it gives so much stress, I think
I thought all of these happens bc of covid 19
Very nice
