JISNE MUJHE PYAAR KARNA SIKHA DIYA – CHAPTER 5

IN THE PARTY 

Kunj was continuously staring at Twinkle, because of which she felt embarrassed and looked away. Kunj sensed that someone was standing behind him, but his eyes never broke the gaze from Twinkle. Yes he found her very traditional but still he was getting attracted towards her and that is why dnt want his eyes to leave her and was continuously staring her.

Kunj was busy in his own job of staring Twinkle, when someone patted his shoulder from and all of a sudden a girl came in front of Kunj.

Hi Jiju, I am Mahi, your sister in law- Said Mahi.

Kunj looked at Mahi and found her to be very confident and younger to Twinkle. She was waiting for him to shake his hands.

Kunj- Hi, I am Kunj, he replied on which Mahi became really happy and gave a wide smile and eagerly shook hands with Kunj. Kunj couldn’t help but smile. He found her to be very optimistic girl.

Kunj saw that Twinkle was quite uncomfortable in front of him. Mahi started teasing her in front of Kunj. While Mahi was teasing and started slightly hitting on her shoulder with her shoulder, to which Twinkle mumbled slightly something to Mahi. Kunj smirked at Twinkle’s disapproval, but he thought that at least Mahi was polite enough to shake his hands.

Kunj continued to watch Twinkle. He found her pretty in her own way. She has beautiful skin with beautiful eyes and her lovely hair which reached all the way down till her waist. He was literally admiring Twinkle’s beauty. He immediately remembered that he needs to talk with Twinkle.

Kunj- Twinkle, I need to talk to you.

Twinkle and Mahi who were busy talking and giggling immediately turned their attention towards Kunj. Twinkle look at Kunj when Kunj said- I want to talk you but alone

Twinkle hesitated for a moment but followed him. Kunj walked and by passed the crowd in the party and stopped in front of a closed door. He opened and walked in letting Twinkle also in. He locked the door on which Twinkle eyes grew wider and asked “Aapne door…k kyu lock kar diya” while stammering (Why u closed the door)

Kunj ignored that question and asked her- Twinkle, mujhe tumhari help chahiye please (Twinkle I need your help, please)

Twinkle- Thik hai, kaisi help chahiye (Ohk, what kind of help you want)

Kunj started walking closer to her and stood next to her, very close. Twinkle took a step back trying to keep some distance but Kunj moved ahead and she again moved back.

Kunj- Twinkle, Kya tum mujhse shadi karna chahti ho? (Twinkle, do you want to marry me?)

Kunj was continuously looking at Twinkle for an answer and Twinkle could not understand what to reply. She was definitely very happy and excited to get married.

Kunj- Twinkle, please meine chahta hu ki tume is shadi se mana kar do

Twinkle looked at him in shock, her eyes grew wide and big out of shock and she opened her mouth a bit. Though she has never met Kunj before but she liked him and he broke her heart. She turned away to hide her tears and managed to ask him

Twinkle- Kyu, kyu aap mujhse shadi nahi karna chahte hai (why u don’t want to marry me)

Kunj- Twinkle, please ye mat samajhna ki mein tumhe mana kar raha hu par mein abhi shadi karne ko taiyar nahi hu (Twinkle, please it’s not you who am saying no, but m not ready to get married right now)

Twinkle’s eyes were wet, but yet she managed to look up. She was just imagining that whom she considered to be so caring, can be so heartless. She can’t say no to her father, he will be disappointed and rejecting an alliance will definitely be not good for her family. She was in dilemma to what to do when Kunj again spoke.

Kunj- Twinkle, please mujhe tumhari help chahiye, please is shadi ke liye mana kar do. (Twinkle, please help me, and reject me for this marriage)

Twinkle couldn’t help but decided if he is so reluctant not to get married, then there is no point of thinking all these things and just bit her lower lip and nodded her head in yes and started walking out of the room. Kunj was happy, so he just smiled at the succession of his plan and followed Twinkle out of the room.

They came out of the room entered the hall and Twinkle started finding her father in the party. Once she spotted her father, she moved towards him and stood near him.

Twinkle- Papa, mujhe aapse kuch zaruri baat karni hai

RT- Ghar chal ke beta abhi nahi

Twinkle- Nahi Papa, zaruri baat hai, abhi, please chaliye

RT looking at Twinkle’s face understood that something is urgent and he will need to talk to her said- Ok, chalo

RT and Twinkle went outside the hall in the lawn where they found some less crowd and less music.

RT- Bolo beta, kya kehna chahte ho

Twinkle- No

RT- Kya No (RT’s smile started fading and confused to what Twinkle trying to say)

Twinkle- Papa, mein ye shaadi nahi karna chahti hu

RT (a very disappointed look and with anger too)- Aur wo kyu nahi ?

Twinkle got the hint that her father was disappointed and angry too. She does not have courage to look into his eyes. She knew he was trying to calm him down as he does not want to create any scene in the party. She looked up and her eyes met with Kunj who was not standing very far from them. He was standing with other guests but his mind was totally to what RT and Twinkle were discussing.

RT- Twinkle, I asked you something, why not

Twinkle on not finding any answer just replied- Papa, Kunj ek bahut hi rude aur arrogant larka hai, mein ek aise larke se shadi nahi kar sakti jo meri respect na kare. She lied as she found Kunj to be a sweet person, but any how she needed any excuse for the refusal.

Twinkle again looked at Kunj whose eyes were on Twinkle and RT only. He heard to what Twinkle has told her father and somewhere he did not like and had hurt expressions on his face, but he plastered a fake smile on his face as he was busy talking to some the business delegates of his company.

RT- Twinkle, agar aisa hai to hai, compromise karo. (in his angry and strict voice, while gritting his teeth). Kunj ek accha larka hai, acchi family se hai. Wo tumhe khush rakhega

Twinkle yelled- No, Mein usse shadi nahi karungi!

A few people standing near them turned their gaze towards Twinkle. Twinkle who was looking at Kunj, who also had a shocked expression on his face. Twinkle looked back at her angry father.

RT holding Twinkle’s hand from her elbow strictly said- Twinkle, tum yaha koi scene create nahi karogi, samjhi

Twinkle said nothing. She just looked at her father with a blank expression. Other people who were staring at Twinkle turned back to their normal conversation as they understood that no more drama is coming up, only Kunj was looking at Twinkle. He took a step to go towards them but Twinkle signed him not to get involved. He ignored her and walked further.

Kunj- Is everything alright? He asked RT

RT- Yes beta, everything’s fine

Kunj- But meine suna usne kya bola, dekhiye agar wo shadi nahi karna chahti to….

RT- No No No. Twinkle is very happy actually. Wo tumse shadi zarur karegi. Ghabrane ko koi baat hi nahi hai. RT assured Kunj

Kunj and Twinkle looked at each other.  RT who already had grabbed Twinkle’s hand dragged to the other side and said- Twinkle, tum Kunj se shadi karogi, aur agar aisa nhi hua to samajh lo ki tumara hamare ghar se rishte nate khatm. Mein samjhunga ki meri sirf ek hi beti hai aur wo sirf Mahi hogi.

Twinkle was completely aghast to what her father said. She was looking at her father in shock and tears started coming out from her big eyes. She was not able to understand how his father could say something like this to her that he will disown her if she will not marry Kunj. She has never seen this side of his father.

Twinkle while sobbing and in that voice only- Pa…pa…..please I ca….nt maaarry

Kunj – Twinkle (Kunj interfered)

Though RT has dragged Twinkle to the other side, but Kunj was listening to them. He heard to what her father told her. He himself was completely shocked as to what RT said. How could he give this kind of ultimatum to Twinkle, thought Kunj. At that time RT was looking seriously like a demon to Kunj. A demon who was no less than his father.

Kunj said firmly- Twinkle, we will get married.

RT smiled after Kunj replied to him and he smiled

RT- Good, mein aur Manohar, abhi announcement karwate hai.

RT left from there, he turned and looked at Twinkle who was still crying but didn’t made any attempt to comfort her. He just walked off to Kunj’ father to give the good news. Kunj who was there with Twinkle was looking at RT and Manohar. When RT told Manohar the good news, they were very happy and they toasted excitedly. Kunj was angry and tightened a fist that whose parents are happy when their children are not?

He turned back to Twinkle. That poor soul was still crying. Some people stared at Twinkle and started gossiping that don’t know what the matter is. Kunj quickly held up Twinkle’s hand and walked out of the hall. Once they were walking out of the venue, he heard Twinkle whispering something

Twinkle- Papa mujhse aise kaise keh sakte hai? Wo itna kyu adamant hai is shaadi ko leke

Kunj – Twinkle, tumhe sach mein nahi pata hai kya?

Twinkle looked up at him with a confused and nodded her head in no as in questioning ” What I don’t know anything?”. She was calmer as compared to before but still tears were rolling down her cheeks. Kunj saw her and moved closer to her to wipe the tears from her cheeks, but she moved back and cleared her face from her saree.

Kunj- Chalo mere sath

He held her hand and walked out of the venue. Once he reached the venue parking he went near his car and from his car spare keys (as the driver was not near his car) he opened the door and took a file out and gave it to Twinkle

Twinkle- Ye kya hai ?

Kunj- Just open and read.

Twinkle started just flipping the papers and she could not make out much just, they are some deal papers and of course the profit projections on the paper that showed that whatever work it is will give them a huge profit margin.

Kunj- This business is our marriage, that is why we are getting married, just to strengthen our father’s mergers

Twinkle (now totally shocked and broken)- What….matlab…..hamari shaadi…..business deal hai??

She again, started crying. Kunj was feeling bad for her and of course he was feeling more bad that because of him she is crying all the time. First his plan made her cry, then her father and now again him revealing that their marriage is nothing but a business deal.

Kunj- Twinkle, he whispered and really want her to stop crying, and calm down.

Twinkle- Papa mere sath aisa nhi kar sakte and she started crying more harder. Kunj wanted to hug her to calm her down, but something was stopping him doing it. He thought it won’t be appropriate. Even though this wasn’t totally his fault but somewhere he was also to be blamed. He have never made any girl cry.

Kunj- Twinkle, please, Twinkle I am sorry

Kunj apologizing which he has never done and also when he wasn’t fully at fault. How could Kunj Sarna apologize when he was not at fault, but yes that’s right he apologized Twinkle that night.

Twinkle- Isme aapki koi galti nahi hai. She said wiping her tears.

Kunj- Hame andar chalna chahiye

Twinkle- Hmm

They both went back to the venue where at the entrance they met Mahi

Mahi- Di! Jiju! Kaha the aaplog? Di Papa aapko bula rahe hai and Jiju aapko bhi Manohar uncle bula rahe hai. Wo dono aapko stage ke paas bula rahe hai

Both twinkle and Kunj went ear the stage. All four of them climbed up the stage.

Manohar- Ladies and Gentleman…may I have your attention please.

The crowd diverted their attention on the stage.

Manohar with RT standing next to him and Kunj and twinkle standing next to their father. – Today we are here to celebrate my friend RT’s new international ventures launch party.

Manohar patted RT’s shoulder and the guests gave them a round of applause.

Manohar- However, we decided we should take our friendship to a new level. We have already announced our mergers but today here we announce that we will soon be a family.

RT and Manohar hugged each other as soon as they announced it.

RT- Ladies and Gentleman, we have decided marriage of Twinkle my daughter with Kunj and to seal the relationship we are getting them engaged today. Again, a loud noise of clapping was heard. Soon RT’s family and Surjeet joined them on the stage. Photographers were taking their pics.

This was the biggest shock for both Kunj and Twinkle. Kunj and Twinkle both looked at each other in shock. Kunj nodded his head in no saying he was totally unaware about it. Both of their father moved aside and now Twinkle and Kunj were standing close to each other.

Mahi- Twinkle Di and Kunj Jiju….Kaisa laga surprise, am damn sure man me laddo fut rahe honge aap dono ke to, hai na. She chirped excitedly.

Others laughed hearing Mahi’s talk and Kunj and Twinkle just gave a fake smile to her.

Surjeet gave Kunj Twinkle’s ring (https://i.pinimg.com/736x/ef/7a/eb/ef7aeb1875d946df3763584552ea4a6f–solitaire-diamond-diamond-wedding-rings.jpg) which was a diamond solitaire ring. Kunj while taking the ring looked at Surjeet who in return just gave a smile. Kunj took the ring and unwantedly he took Twinkle’s hand made her wear it. Everyone clapped for them. Kunj was sad looking at Twinkle and with the sudden happening but still inside he was having some other feelings which he also was not able to understand, as he realized when he touched Twinkle’s hand he had some kind of sensation in him which he was not able to realize, what was that feeling or sensation.

RT and Leela hugged Twinkle and Kunj and Manohar and Surjeet also hugged both of them. Twinkle and Kunj took everyone’s blessings after coming down from the stage. Mahi hugged Kunj being very excited.

Now a big shock for both our Twinj, they never expected that they will met and at last get engaged. But what sensation is Kunj having, why he felt awkward, why he apologized which he never did when it was not his mistake. Let’s c further whether they will be able to accept it or not this decision of their parents.
