KAHI UNKAHI – Episode 14

Recap: Dev and Sonakshi’s pictures were published in newspaper…ishwari warns dev to never meet that girl…Later on Ishwari was hospitalized…Sona reaches the hospital as her nutritionist…family comes to know that sonakshi and dev have worked together…

Sonakshi comes out of the room…and dev follows her…
When Radharani asked what you mean to each other …her answer was just colleague and that just is…..not just hurting him but he was all burning inside and in that rage he came out and pulled her arm forcibly…

Dev: what you said inside…?
His tight hold was hurting her and in that pain she can see his eyes burning red…
Dev: hum sirf colleague hain Sonakshi….? (are we only colleague Sonakshi ?)
And now he looked at the tears that came from her eyes…he was hurting her…and so looses his grip and releases her slowly…
Sonakshi gets her senses back…
Sonakshi: toh kya hai hum….tumhi bta do..(then what we are…you tell me…)
Dev:…….**he also knows very well what they are but he finds the moment not correct to give her explaination**…..: dost hai hum…(we are friends)
Sonakshi was so hurt with those words…he can never fall for her…
Sonakshi lowers down her eyes and holds the wall…she was tired…tired of making him speak up
Sonakshi: I meant the same…

Sonakshi turns and starts walking away…by support of wall…with those unnoticed tears coming down from her eyes…
Dev: tum toh ja rhi thi………fir….(you wer about to leave….then…)
Sonakshi: shaam ki flight hai….(evening flight)
Before dev could talk to her about it ….she left…

Dev(in his mind): right moment….aur right moment ke liye ruka…toh right girl miss kar dunga(if i waited for right moment any more i will miss the right girl)….i think I should I tell her now….
And he looks at his mother through the glass window…
Dev(in his ming): maa ka kya….unhone toh saaf kha ki….par unhe sonakshi isliye pasand nhi aayi kyunki…humare bare mein galat tareeke se samne aaya….samne se btaunga….she will agree….after all unke Pathar se beta ko phool banana wali jo mill gyi hai…Ok dev let’s go for it…..!! behno ki bhabhi…aur maa ki bahu…ko btana hai ki….unke would be husband unse bahut pyar karte hain….I LOVE YOU SONA !
(what about mom…she said it clear…but she didn’t liked sonakshi…coz the news about us came infront in a wrong way..if i will try in better way…she will agree..after all…someone made her rock like son turn into flower…ok let’s go dev…sisters’ sister-in-law….mom’s daughter in law…we have to tell you that your future husband loves you a lot…I LOVE YOU SONA!)

Dev runs happily to Sona’s room…

Sonakshi is crying by standing by the window…
She sees the phone screen that shows “Dad calling…”
She picks up the phone…but was not hearing what he was saying…
Bijoy: sona…I have seen all the proposal and have finalized few of them…even one of them is in mumbai as well….since you are there..i am thinking that we should come up there and meet them….what say?…….SHONA….. SHONA !!!
Sonakshi: ….hain…hain baba…
Bijoy: I you listening….
Sonakshi: yah!
Bijoy: so you are ready for marriage….this mumbai boy is really good…
Sonakshi reminseces her moments with dev…there first fight…how he used to hug her to make her calm…his touch…and when she asked who are they…he said friends…
Sonakshi wipes her tears…
Sonakshi: yes baba !…..

Dev opens the door suddenly…Sonakshi cuts the call feeling his presence behind her…
Dev: uhmm…..Sonakshi….Sona!
Sonakshi doesn’t turn around to face him…tears keep rolling from her eyes…
Dev: I wanted to say….
Sonakshi***whatever you say…it will never change the present situation…now we are only friends…***
Dev(in his mind): dev go for it….yah! you can do this….
Dev: Soankshi….I…..I…..
Sonakshi tighten her grip on the curtain…..
Dev: I’ll talk to you later…

He turns around and opened the door….
Sonakshi turns back and moves to the table…
Her eyes were red…face all wet…swallowing in her eyes…mouth numb…and she had hard throat…chocked..
Sonakshi: dev…**she said with her heavy voice**
Sonakshi: I am getting married…

And as those words reached him…sudden dew drops of tears rolled…it was like something broken inside…he lost her…lost ! everything !!!
Dev tightens his grip over the door…to balance himself…with sudden change in his life…it was storm!!…
Dev without turning to her…as he had lost all his guts to face her…and to see what……. someone else’s wife…would be wife my boy…
Dev: I’ll….wish…you get all the happiness of the world…

And he leaves…like….a broken……. dead body….
Sonakshi falls on the floor and holds the leg of table…
Sonakshi: all the happiness of the world….to me….were meant only with you….

Dev was crying….and he was not understanding what happened to him…he is feeling like he gave wrong treatment to someone and his patient died…he was blaming for being late….and someone stole her girl…she is gone….taken from him….
Dev couldn’t walk anymore thus he sits down on the floor…
Dev: HOW………… HOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…..HOW can someone come and just take her……..SHE IS MINE!!!….Sonakshi is mine…I can’t let her go….
He beats him self…slaps…smashes on his head…
Dev: I LOST HER….but she agreed…if she loved me…she wouldn’t say yes…I know her…I love her…I know her the most….she don’t love me…and considers me a colleague only…Sonakshi….But I can’t stop loving you…
Yeh ek tarfa mohbaat ki baat hi kuch aur hoti hai…yeh baki rishton ki tarah do logon mein nhi batti….ispe sirf mera haq hai…. #aedilhaimuskil
(this one sided love is all the way different feeling..it is not divided between two people like other relationships….it is only mine…)

Ishwari’s ward,
Ria: maa…yeh kissi Mr. Gupta ka phone hai….(ma…some mr.gupta is calling is…)
Ishwari: hain…hain…de de mujhe de…..(ya..yah….give me that..)
Ria hand overs the phone to her…
Ishwari: Ji gupta ji…….ji…to wo log kab aa rhe hain……kal….ji…ji…(yes gupta ji….when those people coming….tomorrow…ok )
Radharani: kaun tha jiji…..kaun aa rha hai kal….(who was there jiji…..and who is coming…)
Ishwari face was lighten up…as she got gold medal in olympics…
Ishwari: jab aayenge toh bta dungi bhabhi…(when they will come i will tell you bhabhi…)

Dev enters… he was a collapsed body…the soul is taken away…..only body is left…she has taken his heart from their first meet…and now his brain is also over her only….
Ishwari: array aa gya tu dev….(oh dev…you came…)
Dev looks up coming back from his senses…her thoughts…
Ishwari: Ria…mami ke saath tu yeh saman…gadi mein leja ke rakh de…aur dev tu mere pass…(ria…go with mami…and keep these things in the car…and dev you come to me…)

Ria and Radharani leaves the ward….now only Ishwari an dev are in room…as they leave…
Dev hugs Ishwari tightly…and cries loudly…Ishwari thinks it was because…..she is hospitalized and and he was afraid of losing her…
Ishwari: dev kya hua hai…tu darr gya…mein thik hun….(dev what happened…are you scared….see! i am fine…)

Dev wipes his tears and breaks the hug…and realizes if he kept crying…she will question him…and he won’t be able to answer it…
Ishwari: mujhe tujhse ek zaruri baat karni thi…..(i have something important to talk to you…)
Dev: bol na maa….(say it mom..)
Ishwari:wo…meine teri shaadi ki baat ki hai…(hmm..i have decided to get you married…)
Dev: kya??????????? (what?….)
Ishwari: chilla mat….baat samjh dev! (don’t shout dev…try to understand…)
Dev: agar yeh sab tu….uss newspaper wali scene ke wajah se kar rhi hai toh….please! rehne de…(if you are doing all this because…of that newspaper scene…please! don’t do this..)
**with deep breaths**
Dev: mere aur uss ladki ke beech kuch nhi hai…(there is nothing between me and that girl..)
Ishwari: janti hun…bharosa hai mujhe tujh par…par tu kabhi toh shaadi karega na….toh fir…(i know…i trust you…but one day you will marry…then why not..)

Dev was in her thoughts…how he met her at traffic signal….how he used to care for her…there long hugs…the night they spend in admin block….the cockroach…and when she said she is getting married…
He couldn’t say yes…as he was not able to forget her…and couldn’t say no as well….and no on whose hopes…she is getting married…and he have no right to stop her…

Evening!
Dev was doing the formalities…Ishwari was going to be discharged…
Satakshi came from behind…and patted on his back…and as he turned to look….she smiled at him..
Smile…was not usual one…as she knew….sonakshi is not happy…her condition is not hidden from her…she is getting married to someone else…even when she loves him…
Dev: Hi…You here….for the camp?
Satakshi: Yah!…but not medical camp….Sonakshi’s wedding camp…you know na she is getting married…
Dev*with fake smile*: yah! …I know…
Satakshi: even then you are not doing anything….
Dev looked at her wide eyes….
Satakshi: I mean…farewell party…you asked her for yours now its her turn….
Dev: yah!…we will plan something…
Satakshi: the boy is from mumbai…so me and sona’s family…we all came here…

Dev smiled and left as he was not interested in knowing anything else…And Satakshi can understand what he didn’t said but always meant…I don’t know why the rest of the world understands the whole tale…but these two don’t….Satakshi…Radharani….Reporter…Ishwari….when will these two people gonna understand….huh!

Morning!
Sonakshi’s family has reached…
Sonakshi is yet not in mood…but she have no other way…she won’t wait whole life for him….when she knows that well he will never return…never!
Asha was finalizing dress sonakshi is going to wear!….

Dev is pressing Ishwari’s legs…she is back to home….
Ishwari: dev…
Dev:hmm….
Ishwari: tu meri kissi baat ke liye mana nhi karta…fir….man ja na…(dev you never say no to me…then…please agree..)
Dev: kis cheej ke liye…(for what..?)
Ishwari: shaadi!(marriage !)
Dev:maa…..fir wahi baat…(maa…again…)
Ishwari:koi aur hai….woh newspaper wali…(is there anybody else…that newspaper girl..)
Dev: koi nhi hai..!!!….thik hai mein shaadi karunga…..khush! (there is no one…ok! i will marry….happy)
Ishwari caresses his face…and hugs him…but he didn’t reciprocate…
Ishwari: Bahut Khush !…aaj shaam ko wo aa rhe hain….tu ladki dekh lena…(very happy…they are coming in evening…you can meet the girl..)
Dev: tujhe pasand hai….? (you like her..)
Ishwari: hain….(yah..)
Dev: phir mujhe bhi…(then i like her too..)
And he walks out of the room…
Dev(in his mind) jisse pasand kiya tha…wo toh mili nhi…aur kissi ko pasand karke kya karun…

Ishwari(in her mind): mujhe toh wo tabhi pasand aa gyi thi…jab usne auntyji namaste kaha tha….nootrishan tu meri bete ke liye ek dum thik hai….(i liked her the moment she said…auntyji namaste…nootrishan..you are perfect for my son..)
