Chapter 35
When the world turns upside down !!

Naira opened her sleepy eyes the next morning, when she felt like someone was shaking her vigoursly.

“We need to go !! Get up sleepy head.” Karthik said and removed his hands from her body once he was confirmed that she is awake. Naira shook her head in a no and pulled the comforter to her chin. It looked so adorable to Karthik.

“Suddenly, I am suffering from fever. I don’t want to go.” Naira purred and rolled on her stomach.

“Naira !!” Karthik groaned.

He started tickling her and she got off the bed, pouting. She turned towards the room’s window and observed that it is still dark outside.

“Where are we going at this time ?!! It looks like 5:00 in the morning.” Naira complained as she removed her clothes from the suitcase.

“Yeah !! If we start now, we will reach Goa by afternoon. Then we can enjoy the evening there.” Karthik said.

“Ohkay !!” She gave him a smile and went to the washroom to get fresh. Soon, they reached the car where their siblings were waiting for them.

After a few hours of driving, Naksh stopped the car near some hotel on the highway. All of the them were hungry and so they ordered loads of food.

After finishing their breakfast, Naira felt like someone was staring at her. When she turned back, her heart raced along with her breath.

“How can this happen ?!! Its just my hallucination.” She whispered to herself.

She tried to calm herself down after seeing a familiar person but he was standing with his back towards her. She shook her head and got inside the car.

Even though she was scared and confused as to how that person can be him. Naira covered her fear with a smile so that Karthik doesn’t get to know that something is wrong.

As she sat in the backseat of the car, her eyes went wide with surprise. She thought that Keerti would sit beside her as usual but much to her surprise, Karthik occupied the seat. For some reason, her cheeks flushed pink.

To avoid the awkwardness, she simply stared out of the window. Her eyes started to drop because of the fatigue. She closed her eyes as the deep slumber consumed her. She unconsiously leaned onto Karthik’s shoulder and fell asleep.

Naira opened her eyes when she felt Karthik tapping her shoulder. She scrunched her face in irritation and turned to her left only to see a smiling Karthik, really a smiling Karthik that stole her heart. He looked breath takingly handsome with that smile.

“Look there.” Karthik shouted and nudged Naira to see the secenary. Naira turned around, rolling her eyes but her jaw dropped seeing the view. A perfect sun rose as they were descending through the valley.

“Is this the reason you have planned an early morning journey ?!!” Keerti asked. She was equally mesmerized. Naksh gave her a smile , still driving the car.

“Its beautiful.” Naira murmured and leaned back. Her head touching Karthik’s shoulder but both of them didn’t notice it, maybe they have started getting comfortable with each others touch.

“It was really nice. Thank you.” Naira chirped once she and Karthik entered their room. Karthik closed the door behind him.

“Your most welcome wifey.” Karthik said and Naira blushed pink.

They both made a quick tour of the room.

“Go get ready. We have lots of things to do.” Karthik said.

“Yeah, we should go shopping. I want to buy a gift for my dad.” She informed unpacking her luggage.

Karthik’s expression changed from shock to surprise to confusion to happiness. He knew that Naira was a bit angry at her dad from the talk they had many nights ago. He guessed that she had probably cleared the misunderstanding.

“Oh….Ohkay. I know a perfect gift for him.” Karthik said and smriked.

Keerti and Naira threw themselves on bed along with their shopping bags. Karthik grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and finished it with in two minutes. Naksh just smiled tiredly at the trio in front of him.

“One must never go shopping with girls.” Karthik said panting, as if he had run a marathon.

“I am happy to know that you have finally realized it.” Naksh said and was hit by a pillow immediately by the two girls. Keerti and Naira shot daggers at him and he shrugged innocently.

“So what is the plan now ?!!” Keerti asked. Naksh shrugged and turned towards Karthik.

“Well I am really hungry after all the shopping so let’s get some food in our stomach.” Karthik said.

“Okay then. We will be ready in half an hour. Let’s meet at the dinning hall.” Naksh declared before leaving the room. Keerti followed him.

Naira got up from the bed and searched for a suitable outfit but ended up wearing a simple, plain pink cotton kurti with white salwar. She left her hair open.

Grinning like a lunatic, she stepped out of the bathroom to find her husband waiting for her, dressed in casuals. Surprisingly, he too wore a pale pink shirt with black jeans. They were colour cordinated.

Their eyes met for a moment and it felt as if they could just stare into each others eyes for lifetime. Karthik forwarded his hand towards her and Naira gladly accepted it. With interwined hands, they moved towards Keerti and Naksh’s room.

Both the couples met in the lobby and moved towards the restaurant. Naksh and Karthik went to the reception area to get a table booked.

“What’s worrying you ?!!” Keerti whispered in Naira’s ear. Naira turned towards Keerti with a confused face. Keerti rolled her eyes.

“You are looking tensed from morning. Since our breakfast, you have an expression as if you have seen some ghost.” Keerti said.

Naira’s face now became clear and tension replaced it. Of course, what she had seen was still running in her mind but she tried to assure herself that’s every thing is fine, every time she remembered seeing him. He was her past and she would not let it affect her present.

Naira nooded her head in a ‘No’, chuckled nervously and walked towards Karthik who was standing a few feet ahead.

When she reached him, she felt him being stiff. She followed his gaze and froze for a moment. Little did she know that another shock within fourty eight hours awaits her.

So here is a long update for today. Hope you all liked it. Its 35th Chapter. Another milestone for this FF. So thanks to all of you for the love and appreciation that you all shower on me.

Coming to the shocking part. Gayu is back in kaira’s life. What do you think will happen now ?!! Also who do you think Naira saw at the dhabba, that got her so scared and worried ?!!

I know I am not supposed to vent out my anger over her, but I think that the CV’s are just spoiling Keesh’s track by over doing Kaira. Sometimes I am so irritated by kaira that I fast forward their portion. The CV’s need to focus on keesh and give kaira a break.
