Chapter 39
Love and Cuddles !!
“What ?!!” Naira asked totally confused.
“Yeah, you were shivering badly in your sleep. I tried to calm you down many a times, also wake you up but all you did was sleeping and dreaming some terrific nightmare.” Karthik explained.
Naira pursed her lips. Was that really a dream ?!! She was so confused right now. What was happening around her ?!!
“We did go downstairs to have dinner, right ?!!” She asked.
“Not we, I went to have dinner with Keerti dii and Naksh jiju. What’s wrong with you ?!! Are you not well ?!!” Karthik asked, a frown marring his face.
“Why wasn’t I with all of you during dinner ?!!” Naira asked.
“Because you are such a sleeping freak. When Dii and Jiju went to their room saying that they will get ready, you fell asleep. Me, Dii and Jiju tried a lot to wake you up but we were so helpless in front of your sleep.” Karthik said and chuckled.
“You kicked and punched us when we tried to shake you. All you kept on asking was to let you sleep since you were very tired. So we felt pity on you and went for dinner. Although, I brought parcel for you. If you want, you can eat it now.” He explained casually but there was concern hidden in his voice along with care, affection and love.
Naira looked at him, competely smitten. So it surely was a dream. Otherwise why would he be sitting beside here on the bed and taking care of her. She had a dumb smile plastered on her face as she adored her loving husband.
Karthik creeped out a bit on seeing Naira smile at him in such a way. He thought that she has gone mad. Naira realised that she was scaring Karthik now, so she took control of herself.
“Are you okay now ?!!” Karthik asked.
“Much better. Why were you awake ?!!” Naira asked and Karthik raised an eyebrow mockingly.
“Seriously ?!! Your shivers woke me up. You were almost crying and shouting in your sleep. How could I sleep, when you were in such a bad condition.” Karthik said.
“Sorry.” Naira murmured completely embarrassed. Karthik smiled warmly at her before switching off the bedside light and laying down on the bed.
“Sleep now. Its too late.” Karthik said and almost pulled her beside him on the bed.
He asked her to sleep, but that didn’t came easily to her, not after that dream. Why did she even get such a dream ?!! Was it because she is feeling intimidated by him or because of the talk that she had with Keerti Dii earlier ?!!
Well any reason was not valid enough to result in a wierd dream of her husband and Gayatri together. Was it really a dream because it felt so real to her ?!! If it has happened really, then how did Karthik find her ?!! Why is he behaving normally with her ?!!
“Stop over thinking.” her heart snapped at her. Karthik has already told you that it was nightmare right ?!! Why would he lie ?!! And anyway, she trusts him more than herself so whatever he is saying must be true.
“I love you Karthik.” her words from her dream came running back in her mind. Did she really say and feel that ?!!
“Seriously ?!! Do I love him ?!!” She asked herself. The answer ‘Yes’ came to her immediately. A smile also slowly came on her face and she turned crimson.
She bit her lower lip and turned to Karthik, who was already sleeping. The only good thing about the Nightmare was that it helped her in realising her feelings. The Nightmare made her realise that she was in love with Karthik.
“I love you Gayu.” Naira scowled as Karthik’s words from her dream came back to her. She moved towards him and rested her head on his chest. She cuddled him just to make sure that he was here next to her and also belonged to her.
Making sure that he is asleep, she slowly raised her hand and caressed his cheek. A small smile formed on her face. She took a minute to savour his dear, dear face. He looked so much at peace while sleeping.
Thinking of him and Gayatri worried her and surprisingly her heart started beating fast out of fear. She wrapped her arm around his torso, inhaling his scent which was soothing her worries, and snuggled more into him.
Karthik is here, with her now. And thus, every worry and tension drained away from her body. She never felt so comfortable in presence of anybody else. Least she knew that Karthik was awake, enjoying the moment and cherishing it.

Next morning Karthik stretched his limbs, opening his eyes after a peaceful sleep. The first thing he saw was a completely fresh and clean Naira, standing in front of the mirror brushing her hair with a comb.
“Good morning, Husband.” She wished him, looking at his reflection in the mirror.
Karthik grinned sheepishly but suddenly the grin fell from her face. He observed her and asked, “Were you awake all the time ?!!”
“Yeah…and I think that’s not a big deal because I have had enough sleep yesterday…really enough sleep.” Naira said. Her cheeks turned pink out of embarrassment and Karthik laughed.
“It will be really difficult for me to wake you up in future.” Karthik teased her more.
“I don’t sleep that way every time. I was…just…stop teasing me.” She begged and he smriked teasingly.

Here is the next update for all of you. It was Naira’s nightmare. Hope all of you are happy now as you got all worked up.
I won’t be able to update this weekend and will be posting the next Chapter on Monday maybe. Tomorrow we have Ganpati bappa coming at our home and on Saturday its my cousin sister’s birthday so I would be busy for the next two days. I will try to update on Sunday but can’t promise.
