Naz,any guesses what is going to happen here,Sumer and Meera look fine with each other,Infact seems to be in love with each other. To be frank,I am getting weary of Vivan’s character. He is always seen holed up in his room with his lap top,,doing nothing and talking to no one except for those hush hush secret conversations with someone unknown. We know that he is very rich, owns the house ,loves his sister and doesn’t allow anyone to peek into his life, other than this ,no insight into this character , his family background, positive points ,weaknesses,…absolutely nothing ,not much we know about the lead character after ten episodes. How the writers want to take this story forward from now on ,I don’t have any idea ,Infact when Meera reveals that they are only caretakers of the house ,I thought Sumer will back off ,but no,he seems to be absolutely smitten with Meera.I think Meera’s bua is going to play spoil sport by insisting on fixing Silky’s marriage with Vivan, otherwise she won’t let Sumer marry Meera.Whatever it is ,the plot looks interesting ,,,,something novei ????Hope they won’t experiment too much.
Yes you are write Lakshmi
Cant guess the upcoming plot but I hope that in the upcoming plot there will be some nok-jhok between meera and vivan . These days vivan is just sitting alone . Let’s hope that the upcoming plots will be nicer
Lakshmi, I think that writers would end up making Sumer the villain.. Don’t bash me OK…that’s why he’s so goody two shoes right now…the calm before the storm because this serial isn’t going to be all sugar and spice and all that’s nice…it would be boring!!! I think as well, that under the bravado and brawn, Vivaan is covering up his real self. Maybe he is nice underneath or socially insecure but hides behind his wealth and status to make him look tough…who knows
but the writers!!
i am liking sumer more and more after every episode..you can tell that both he and meera love each other so what are the writers gonna come up with to make meera and vivan fall for each other..like you said lakshmi there is no insight into his character..all we know about him is that he’s snobish, obnoxious and rich and only thinks that meera and her family are gold diggers…i like that sumer continues to like meera even though she told him about the house not being their’s…i think he will like her no matter what comes their way…
we know that vivan and meera will end up together eventually so wat will happen to cause sumer and meera not to be together…her aunty looks like she’s gonna cause some trouble so it could be that or they let meera and sumer get married and something happens to him which i hope not as i like him…
so i guess we gotta wait to see wat these writers have in store for meera, sumer and vivan..
What do you think friends…shouldn’t Summer be the lead after all? I like this character very much and I agree with your comments Lakshmi and Seema concerning Vivaan, he’s getting on my nerves at the moment, so icky picky, obnoxious and highfalutin… Lol. Meera needs to bring him down to earth.. Lakshmi, I don’t really understand why writers are bringing Sumer and Meera together in this way, when we know it’s Vivaan she’ll end up falling in love with… This will make things uncomfortable when the relationship falls apart and I bet you when that happens, we will see another side to Sumer’s character… after all, there must be a villain in the storyline. By this time, Amaaya will have feelings for Sumer, may have to put up with crap to get his attention whilst he plots to keep the lovers apart… You never know!!! Just thinking out aloud na…
I too think sumer should be the lead Naz .He appears to be good than Vivaan .But since Vivaan is the male lead I think the makers will put a love triangle(meera, sumer,Vivaan) or quadrangle ( between Meera, Vivaan, sumer,Amaya)
But writers should show the good side of Vivaan at the same time they shouldn’t make sumer’s character negative
I agree with you Naz, Indian serials can n’t survive without a villain ,he/she gets more importance than the leads like it happened with …..you have already guessed, how can we ever forget our ADDN and the most famous of antagonist community , Preeti ,who could manage to rule the roost till the very end ,so Sumer ,no doubt will turn into a villain but at what stage ,not sure,May be I am imagining but when Meera reveals that that the house is not theirs,he does n’t respond quickly….as she awaits his reaction,he turns back and takes his own time before responding, have we already seen some negative streaks …if so,why should he agree to marry Meera and get engaged to her? Anyway ,as you said if Sumer is not for Meera, they should n’t be brought too close, otherwise it will be uncomfortable later .And I like Amaya, though brought up in London ,she seems to be in love with her indian roots ,as of now she is a sweet but mischievous girl.Let us see what role she will play in this story ,may be she will fall in love with Sumer???
I too like Amaya, she loves her roots and that’s commendable of the writers to show that not all who comes from abroad are ungrateful and critical of the motherland. As to Sumer’s deliberate closeness and intended engagement to Meera, I’m going with the notion that writers are providing Sumer with the motive to justify his actions later on, mind you, I’m saying this because I know there’s no serial without a villian and I can’t see anyone so far with a clear cut pass to this role, other than Sumer,he’d be trying to prove that Viaan stole Meera from him…. Lakshmi, I think the writers have hit a reality chord concerning the scenario with the fact that in real life, this partnering of couples should be handled with confidentiality and due diligence where marriages are concerned. I personally know of this happening here as well, believe it or not!! Sometimes it isn’t wise to introduce someone who you are in love with to any other woman because the intentions of others may not be as pure and respectful as it ought to be when it comes to relationship and the ones who we may think we know having our best interests at heart. In this case, Meera’s grandma went behind the back of her own daughter’s daughter, to fix a marriage alliance with her son’s daughter, with the same said suitor, how uncomfortable that is!! Both girls are her granddaughters but because Meera’s problem is finalising a suitable husband for herself, her grandmother thought it necessary to resort to this action, which doesn’t make things better for the family at all….
While this is entertainment, this thing actually happens. My own neighbor, who was bethrothed to a very wealthy man, not that the money played a factor I’d like to think, introduced her sister,by her father’s second wife, to him, and her sister deliberately went on to snap him away from the woman he had years relationship with… I would say that he married the second sister, had two boys but maintained the relationship with the other one till he died 3 years ago, at 60 yrs old, mind you,the original intended bride is still unmarried to this day…she said she never loved anyone but him, I guess hers was true love, his wasn’t!!! BTW…my father had gone to see a prospective bride zillion years ago, he’s passed on now but when when he saw my mother, who had brought refreshments, though younger than her cousin, he asked for her hand instead…(eye roll) …..and the rest is history… with a happy marriage, four children, though he died at 56, my mother is 70 yrs old now and still looks awesome for her age, good genes from my maternal grandmother….and mom’s cousin never married!! No nice but destiny at play…
Naz,it was a norm in our families that the younger sisters or cousins of the bride were not introduced to the boy and even to his parents till the marriage got fixed and engagement over.I told you that from my mother’s side,I have more than 20 cousins and 8 of us are almost of the same age group including the one in London now.We were all in16 to 17 age group then…..the beautiful and innocent teens. One day she told us that a handsome medico studying in UK would be coming to see her along with his parents.Naturally we were all excited and wanted to see how he would look like. But when he arrived,to our dismay and disappointment, all of us were mercilessly locked up in a room by our mothers till they left.Of course she got married to him only after two years when he finished his studies. But even now during family get togethers whenever this topic comes, he pulls her leg saying that our mothers had played spoil sport by locking up all the young girls. And her marriage was such a fun that all the seven of us wore the same kind of silk sarees specially ordered two months before the big event. There were many young boys in the marriage party from the groom’s side and you can imagine where their attention was through out the marriage,of course to the utmost annoyance of our mothers.Naz,really nostalgic memories, those days will never come back. But as you said this sort of coming for one girl and liking another do happen ,that’s why in those days, our elders never used to allow the same age group unmarried girls to be seen by the groom and his family.I think they are all things of the past now but definitely there was a charm in some of those old traditions and they were meaningful also.
Lol… yes, those were the days!! Nostalgic till this day…..today’s a different story altogether, how times have changed but still ….nothing has changed!!
Thanks for the update MA
