Hello to all the readers of my Kamalanayani series. I am gonna tell you all an important information before skipping in to the story. All that happened, in Kamalanayani’s life till now was fine. But what’s gonna come next has the predominant importance. OK, Shall we move into the story.
Kamalanayani was unable to sleep, that night. She went to the window of her room and saw the moon, I mean a full-moon. She was feeling like, she was seeing her prince. Then, she also saw all maids, including Chandrika were sleeping peacefully. So, she was not ready to disturb them and was continuously looking at the moon without even a blink. Chandrika woke up by some suspect and saw Rajkumari Kamalanayani looking at the moon in mid-night.
She went close to her, yet the princess was not disturbed by it. She whispered “Kumari, What are you doing?”. Kamala was shocked to see her awake. “Didn’t you sleep, Chandrika” replied Kamala with whispers. “No problem, but you are simply looking at the moon.. and by now you should be asleep…” said Chandrika. “I don’t know Chandrika… I feel like, I don’t want anything like food, water, sleep… I just want to see him, I don’t even want a word from him… Simply the sight of his smiling face is enough…” said Kamala.
“But what is the use in seeing the moon at mid-night…” asked Chandrika. Kamala looked at her eyes and said, “He is a Chandravanshi…. I feel like looking at him while looking at the moon”. “So, my Rajkumari is also going to become a Chandravanshi in future..” pranked Chandrika… Kamala slightly starred at her and went back to her bed. “I understand I cannot sleep… But I don’t that my eyes is not letting the sleep into it or sleep is not coming into my eyes… I feel like, he has filled my eyes too.. But this night is also not understanding it and it’s too long..” said Kamala. “If you are in wait, even regular times feels too lengthy.. But try to sleep Kumari… Tomorrow is going to be a big day in your life. So, you must be fresh…” advised Chandrika. Both then slept.
Suddenly Kamala woke up. She saw that the Sun is yet to rise. She started screaming, “it’s late…it’s late”… She had to bath but the maids said, “Rajkumari today you have to do Divya-Snaan, as this day is Friday”. She knew Divya-Snaan will take much time, but she had to…
After that, the maids helped her make-over. Chandrika came with a gift – a new pair of golden earrings embedded with peacock feathers… She wore them. She then rushed to her father’s room, for his daily ritual. Kamala has to do his make-over for the sabha.
Lord Krishna was ready. While she was doing the make-over, he asked her “Did you sleep well last night…Putri”. “No Pithashree…I was simply looking at the moon.” replied Kamala. “So, you saw him inside the moon…” pranked Lord Krishna. Kamala smiled with shyness.
“Whatever it is Pithashree, I first of all, want to thank you, I am grateful for being your daughter. I don’t know How many births I have to take to repay this…” said Kamala. “Not only you, but I am extremely proud that you are my daughter… Every day, you take care of my make-over and serve me food like a mother. You never hide anything from me, it is the greatest respect and affection that a daughter gives to her father…” replied Lord Krishna with a pride in his face.
Kamala joined her hands and payed respect and said “What can I hide or ask more, when Lord Narayam himself is my Pithashree…”. Lord Krishna patted her head and blessed her. Kamala then, continued her work. She then asked Lord Krishna to give some inescapable job to her brother Yuvraj Pradyumna. “I don’t know whether he is doing disturbances intentionally or un-intentionally. But he ruined my effort to talk to Rajkumar Abhimanyu yesterday.” said Kamala. Lord Krishna simply smiled and asked her to tell him to go forward while walking back to the dining hall and I will also tell him to do so. “Don’t worry Putri…” said Lord Krishna.
Kamala finished the makeover of Lord Krishna. She went back to her room and wore her simple costume fit for war practice. She also braided her long silky-black hair for making it fit for war practice. She took her personal sword and was about to leave to the war practice camp and Chandrika wished her good luck. Kamala prayed to Tridev (Her eternal Pithashree) to help her.
She reached the war practice camp and saw that her brother was not there and Rajkumar Abhimanyu was practicing alone. She smiled and went in. This time the guards did not block her. Rajkumar Abhimanyu asked her to take a bow. She saw that his bow was also there, she gently touched it but then took another bow from the weapon area.
He asked her to recall everything she learnt till now. She willingly mis-positioned her bow. He came near her and scolded her and then corrected it. She smiled. Then, Yuvraj Pradyumna came there and started practicing sword along with Rajkumar Abhimanyu.
Kamala felt irritated by her brother. She challenged Yuvraj for a competition against her. She then took her personal sword and challenged against him. Rajkumar Abhimanyu said “So, if you think that you can win over the Yuvraj of Dvaraka, who is a great sword-fighter. Then let me see it…”. Kamala smirked and but thought it as a chance to prove herself.
She fought vigorously against him that her hair got unbraided. Yuvraj asked her to take care of her hair as they are fighting with the sword. She said “Jyest, please do not care about my hair, but mind your sword..” while fighting. Finally, she won over his sword by throwing it away with her sword. She then, turned to Rajkumar Abhimanyu who was shocked and said “It looks like, you can train sword to our soldiers… You fight great with sword and won over your brother… Can you win over me…” challenged Rajkumar Abhimanyu. The pride in Kamala’s face disappeared. She said “I can’t… I can’t fight against you.” and turned back.
Rajkumar Abhimanyu was confused… and asked her “If you can win over the Yuvraj of Dvaraka, then why not me ?”. Kamala found her heart pounding, gasped and said “A student should never raise weapon against a guru… I do respect my guru… You may teach me another weaponry, but fighting against you is Adharma..”
Rajkumar Abhimanyu said, “Now, I am not your guru.. Simply a warrior… So, how about now?”. “Anyway I cannot… My mind is not allowing… Please excuse me…” said Kamala and then moved away. Rajkumar Abhimanyu pranked her “Then, will you accept that I have won over you ?”… Kamala turned back and looked at him with gentle tears and nodded. She actually thought “You have already won over my heart, Rajkumar… Still the problem is you have not recognized your victory… No issues, I will try today to help you recognize it, as per Pithashree’s orders…”
Yuvraj Pradyumna said to Rajkumar Abhimanyu “You simply won by words, but she is kind of a tough competitor by sword… Do you know that reason behind that?”… Kamala was shocked that will her brother reveal her love to Rajkumar Abhimanyu, because she asked her father to tell her brother not to disturb… so he might have known or what… Yuvraj Pradyumna said “It is simply because….. she is ” Kamala’s heart was at the top speed in pounding. ” my sister…” said Yuvraj Pradyumna…
Kamala sighed in relief… “Thank God” she thought. She simply stared at her brother at then, three of them laughed… She felt like hearing some gentle music flowing through her ears, while seeing Rajkumar Abhimanyu happy. She thought, “Why this time is going this slow ??? I am very much eagerly waiting for the arrival of the perfect time to tell you the most important thing which will unite the direction of flow of our future….”
They started practicing but Kamala felt rest-less as time approaches. Lord Krishna came there after some time. Everyone present there greeted him. Rajkumar Abhimanyu went to Lord Krishna and pranked by saying, “Mamashri, I want to tell you a very important thing.. A very big shame has happened to Dvaraka..”. Lord Krishna pretended that he was shocked… “What is that…?” asked Lord Krishna. “Our Yuvraj Pradyumna, has been defeated by a girl who is younger than him… Isn’t it a shame for Dvaraka…”… “Oh No… Yuvraj has been defeated by a kanya…Who is she ?” asked Lord Krishna in return.
“But, that fact is the pride for our Dvaraka… She is none other than our Yuvrani (crown-princess) and your beloved daughter Rajkumari Kamalanayani….” said Rajkumar Abhimanyu. Lord Krishna’s lotus face bloomed in pride. He hugged his daughter. “We cannot say that, Yuvraj allowed her to win… because I judged this competition. The best part is, she had her long hair loose, but no damage was caused…. So only a tough warrior can manage such situation… I am also proud of her…” said Rajkumar Abhimanyu. Kamala looked at the face of her father with happiness combined with happy tears… Lord Krishna happily nodded at his daughter and patted her shoulders gently… She felt that the situation is getting good to express to Rajkumar Abhimanyu about her feelings…
After that, Lord Krishna said, “The one who won is my daughter, the one who lost is my son… Both are from Dvaraka… So, Dvaraka won over Dvaraka, makes me feel that Dvaraka is actually more safe… and has warriors who can support each other…”. Everyone accepted the fact. “Pithashree, from the next war I will come along with Dvaraka’s army from the next war…” said Kamala with valor.
“What are you speaking Putri… We are planning for your wedding but you are speaking about the war… I wonder, which prince is gonna manage this female warrior of Dvaraka after marriage…” pranked Lord Krishna.. Kamala said “Pithashree….” understanding that it is a prank… Yuvraj Pradyumna added “That prince is very lucky to get my sister as his wife yet he will get to know that he will need a shield always with him to manage…”. Everyone pranked at Kamala, but not Rajkumar Abhimanyu. Kamala noticed it and pretended to be crying… “I won’t speak to you all… You all are joking at me…”…. Rajkumar Abhimanyu said, “Hey… I did not say anything… So I can speak…”
Lord Balaram entered the camp and everyone went silent. He scolded Lord Krishna for disturbing the practice but said, “Krishna… Wherever you go, the place and the people in that place gets a joy mood…”. Lord Krishna smiled at his brother and said “In our daily life, we need some situations, where we should be happy even without knowing the reason… It will help us overcome all kinds of stress…” Lord Balaram accepted.
“Ok, Let me tell the reason behind my arrival.” said Lord Krishna. Everyone observed keenly. “I came here to inform that you both can have lunch today… Keeping your stomach empty daily will not be good for your health… So, start practicing it twice a week.” advised Lord Krishna. Then, he took leave from Lord Balaram. While leaving, he smiled and signaled Kamala that she can speak on the way back to the dining hall. She understood it and replied with a nod.
Kamala was nervous after that. She said to her Jyest Pithashree that she feels too hungry. He then allowed them all to have lunch and also asked them to inform to his wife Mata Revathi that, he will come late and she can have her lunch. They agreed and took leave from him.
They were heading back to the dining hall and then….
