The Kashmir Files is garnering rave reviews not just in India but abroad aswell. Anupam Kher during a recent interview on a TV channel talked about it and while doing so also clarified that Kapil had invited him two months ago to promote this film on The Kapil Sharma Show but he (Anupam) refused because the film is too serious to be discussed on a comedy show.
Kapil Sharma shared a clip from the interview on his social media handle and thanked Anupam Kher for clarifying the false allegations put against him.

For the unversed, when asked by a fan to promote his movie on The Kapil Sharma Show, director Vivek Agnihotri replied that since his film didn’t have a commercial star cast they weren’t invited.

This resulted in netizens trolling Kapil for not inviting Vivek to this show. Kapil also tried to clarify the situation with one of his Tweet where he wrote, “यह सच नहीं है rathore साहब 😊 (This isn’t the truth) आपने पूछा इसलिए बता दिया, बाक़ी जिन्होंने सच मान ही लिया उनको explanation देने का क्या फ़ायदा ”
