After a 15-year hiatus, Karrtik Rao’s enduring dream of starring in a film has finally materialized. Notably, he had previously filmed for a movie at the age of 12, but regrettably, it never saw the light of day. The actor, most recently seen in “Chand Jalne Laga,” has commenced shooting for his debut film, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Expressing his elation, Karrtik shares, “Venturing into the realm of cinema is a thrilling experience. Securing a role in a movie after years of relentless dedication feels like a dream realized. ‘Khoonta,’ the film I’m a part of, holds special significance as I deeply connect with its script. Although the journey has been arduous, the joy of being on a film set is incomparable.”
Karrtik initiated his acting journey on television in 2018 with “Ek Thi Rani Ek Tha Raavan” and later appeared in various shows including “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,” “Mere Dad Ki Dulhan,” and “Mann Atisundar.” Reflecting on his challenging path to success in the industry, he shares, “Establishing myself was an immense challenge. Unlike individuals with influential connections or those willing to compromise integrity, I was steadfast in pursuing success on my own terms. Devoid of influential references, I refused shortcuts like casting couch situations. It’s been a taxing journey, both emotionally and financially. I had to be resourceful to make ends meet, often resorting to long walks due to financial constraints on public transportation. Money was tight, leading me to borrow clothes from friends to manage expenses. I was willing to make any sacrifice for my passion.”
As his professional prospects take a positive turn, Karrtik commenced the new year by expressing gratitude. He visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, seeking blessings for this newfound chapter in his career. Reflecting on this experience, he shares, “Visiting the Mahakaleshwar temple was an opportunity for reflection and gratitude, acknowledging the doors opening in my career. It was a humbling experience that reinforced the significance of perseverance and faith. This spiritual journey has enriched my perspective, infusing me with positive energy as I embark on new beginnings and embrace the exciting adventures ahead!”
