Scene 1
Soni calls Dr. Tanu and asks who owns the book that Kartik had? Tanu says it’s some girl Purnima. Soni says tell me more about her. Tanu says she is a very nice girl and looks good. Soni asks about her complexion. Tanu says it’s on the darker side. Soni gets angry.
Shanaya tells Bina that I liked Kartik and not Sumrit. Bina says it doesn’t matter, they are rich. Shanaya says Kartik is a doctor and very nice. Bina says but they are rich so you can marry Sumrit, don’t make this an issue, you will marry Sumrit only.
Soni’s family is excited about Sumrit’s wedding. Sumrit and Kartik come there and tease their sister. Soni asks Kartik if he is hiding something? She shows him the book of Purnima. Kartik says she is a very nice girl. Soni
Purnima asks Beeji about the proposal. Beeji says Sumrit liked Shanaya and the marriage is fixed.
Kartik tells Soni that I don’t know her, I am a doctor and I don’t care about the complexion or class, they are patients for me so end this here. The family tells Soni that Kartik loves you a lot. Soni says Kartik has to marry someday. Kartik says I am not interested in marrying, he leaves.
Beeji sits with Purnima and says your life is going to change. Beeji applied uptan on her. Purnima says my complexion is not going to change. Beeji says time can change easily, I have found a prince for you. Purnima is shocked and says what? She mistakenly kicks uptan bowl, Beeji goes to bring more.
Scene 2
Kartik’s father comes to him and says you know your mom doesn’t accept things easily, I know why you don’t want to marry. Kartik says I don’t want to spoil someone’s life, I don’t want to marry. His father says give a chance to your life, let it fly, maybe someone will like you like the way you are and wouldn’t need you to change.
Bina comes to Purnima and says you are using uptan again? Your complexion is not going to change. Purnima says Beeji was talking about my marriage too. Bina says you are not going to marry with Shanaya’s proposal finalization so don’t even think about it. Purnima thinks if there is someone made for me who will accept me for myself?
Shanaya gets a message about a party and smirks. She acts like falling down and says I have a sprained leg, she says I can’t come to the pooja. Bina asks Purnima to stay with her. Shanaya asks her to go to mandir, don’t worry. Bina asks Purnima to take of her and leaves with her family. Shanaya asks Purnima to go where she wants to. Purnima says no your foot is hurt.
PRECAP- A kid gives Purnima her book back which Kartik gave to him. Kartik smiles looking at her from the car.
Purnima comes home and sees Shanaya partying with boys. She slaps her in anger.
